Bit harsh. It's the summer holidays and folk might want to enjoy the weather/spend time with their kids while they're off.

Worked for a joke of a company in my last post who said we couldn't take certain weeks off and thought it was farcical.

It might sound harsh but we are a 'Professional' football club, surely they have someone that should be in the week before the season starts that can put names and numbers on the back of strips?

No, it was a temporary one, albeit it's not that different. The collar's slightly different and the sponsors / badges were applied differently. Outfield anyway, it was the actual goalkeeper kit.

The proper 1st team 1st and 2nd kits have now arrived but it's likely we'll still be wearing the temporary one on Saturday as due to staff holidays the new ones haven't been printed up with names and numbers yet.  Retail kit hasn't arrived yet but hopefully it's not too far away now if the team kit is here. The 2nd kit is an absolute thing of beauty and much better in person than it looked at design stage. I predict it will be a big hit.

Still shows how unprofessional we are off the pitch when we allow staff holidays the week before the season starting, surely staff should be taking leave when we are quiet and when season has finished? would happen in most other work football clubs

Maybe should spend more of there time trying to work closer with the board and build some sort of relationship rather than constantly going on about getting a fan on board. You need to have some financial clout which was pretty evident after the shoddy showing at last AGM at the nith. I agree we need someone new for some freshness, but just appointing someone for sake of it.

Since Wullie has taken over the info we received at the beginning of the week was really refreshing, hoping tomorrow match preview is something similar. Makes me think Johnston was more the issue than anyone.

The Trust do a great job in the community and on social media, i think them and the board should sit down more try and get a closer relationship then maybe have a fan representative on the board, the fans need a voice closer to the board as there is still no SLO been appointed but even then they seemed too have got nowhere with the board so maybe its the boards fault that the relationship with the trust isn't as good.

Harry Cochrane has been linked with Queens before... Really thot we would have started getting loan players in this week, looks like it'll be next week now...

a lot of clubs still playing friendlies so dont know what players they are sending out on loan yet , no need to panic plenty of time left to bring in players

He was wing back last night, but I still think he does damage from right back, Dunfermline and dundee goals for instance.

Totally agree with steeplechat,he’s been no short of incredible on his return.

He was/is great at RB but I can't really say I remember him as a real source of attack last season. I'm sure he did chip in with some assists but I never came away thinking "Gibson's attacking performance was superb today". Whereas in an advanced role the other night he was heavily involved going forward and we looked dangerous every time he was on the ball. If he still has the legs to do what he did in his younger years then I'm all for him being played further forward.

can you not remember his performance at Dundee away? was unreal going forward in that game . Would be daft to move him from fullback to further up the park

I'm not convinced that he excelled here.

    Mind you, neither did Dykes.

dykes was a very good player for us, surely anyone who watched half time dobbie goals on Friday night would have seen how much of a impact Dykes was in the majority of the goals.

A player who fans didnt really take too because off field matters

  7. Hopefully find out in next week or two if tickets i got in ballot for me and my grandson will still be valid!

Would be gutted if i didnt get them as my grandson first ever tournament he has been excited since they qualified, but i can understand the supporters club getting majority of tickets if it happens

Why would UEFA do that when they have already oversold the games? Surely it makes more sense from their perspective to piss off as few people who already have tickets as possible.

Because they will, the SFA will be expecting an allocation of some sort from Uefa and they will get it if fans are allowed.

  9. If there is crowds at Hampden, the ticket split will still be the same as before Scotland will get 15% of Allocation.

The tickets that have been bought through Uefa will either be refunded or will be another ballot for them.

I have got tickets for both home games through Uefa but im not confident that i will get to use them.

Just got to hope the Government allow a good percentage in at the ground.

I bought tickets from the UEFA site so I'm not worried about my SSC membership in the slightest right now.

Uefa will more than likely re ballot the tickets that have been bought already and give a percentage to the SSC.

Looking forward to next week with AJ's rumoured return to work and most likely the start of signing players for the coming season This will again be a massive rebuild but am sure there are plenty quality players out there looking for contracts. From last season we only have Leighfield, Holt & Dobbie there are only another couple from last years first team I would have back that havn't as far as I know been snapped up by other clubs yet CM Dan Pybus (22) & CB Callum Semple (21) too good young prospects that the club could maybe gain financially in future years.  Now the shirt draw has been done the  Betfred cup has been drawn the season is nearly upon us. Really hope by Oct the fans even if its just home fans to start with can get back into stadia to watch.🤞

    Support yer Hame team👍⚽

Dan Pybus is a terrible footballer all he does is run loads during a game, don't think he can actually pass a football very well

New month hopefully AJ is now off furlough and can start talking to the payers he wants for Queens next season.

Even though training probably won't start back till mid Aug earliest...

Will the unemployed players be willing to wait till end Aug to get a wage, sure most will hope a job offer starting sooner comes first...

give it a rest about taking the manager off furlough, there isnt an official start date for the season yet,.

there is no rush to sign players the majority of teams are in the same position

I suppose Ayr, Raith and Clyde fans likely the same, 100% correct though and fans should not get only give if and what they can afford.

Main selling point for you palmy_cammy is that hopefully money can be put towards avoiding signings like Lewis Kidd and Michael Paton and more like Iain Wilson, Joe Thomson’s of this world

its great idea that the fans are coming up with but cant really use it as a selling point too avoid signings like Kidd and Paton. Do you know that if there was more money available to the manager that he wouldnt sign Kidd and Paton? The manager obviously likes them as he has signed them regardless of the money they are on.

Think it's time he wasn't furloughed then.

    why should queens do that?

we dont have a start date for the new season so the best thing we can do is keep our staff on furlough until we know when we can start. there is no point in bringing in players the now if the league isnt starting until October. I would imagine pre season would start end of August start of September so we have plenty of time to bring in players

Me and a couple mates are heading along to this as we'll be in Carlisle for the weekend. Any suggestions on pubs for pre and post match drinks ? And hopefully somewhere that will show the rugby

Market square is your best bet.

5 minute walk to the ground has 4 pubs, the globe, Devorgilla, salutation and the spread eagle. If your looking for the town centre i would say the barrel or the hole in the wa will be your best bet to have the rugby on

  16. Stranraer still favourites for the league although Threave have the points on board. Im really surprised Abbey Vale are still up there but if they keep Goss scoring goals they will have a chance. Saints have picked up watched there game against Heston and they played some really good football. Heston were disappointing that day.

Whats other peoples opinions on season so far?

why is it pretty shite from the rangers?
they are recalling a player to play for a team in a higher division it is a no brainer for them doesnt matter if Livingston are paying more to his wage or not it is a big benefit to them that he can play in a higher division

Because they've made a deal with a club and now left them in the shit with a couple of weeks left to get someone in. Robbie isn't going to be their no. 1 next season at this point anyway and they are hardly going to release him if he has a bad time at Livi. It's a higher level but lets not kid ourselves on that it's day and night in quality.

it is 100% a bigger benefit to Rangers and Mcrorie that he goes out on loan to Livingston rather than us. He will be playing a higher standard of players, the training will be better, he will be playing against the likes of Celtic, Hearts,Aberdenn,Hibs who play infront of big crowds.

its a no brainer for Rangers if Livingston have asked to loan him for the rest of the season they will be getting him 6 months playing at the level they hope he will be able to play and will be able to see if he is ready or not.

best of luck to the boy i hope he becomes number 1 for the rangers in the next few years

I find this Robbie McCrorie situation very strange on Rangers behalf. If it's true and he's off to Livi, that's him played for two clubs in a season. Surely if anything major happened to McGregor and Fotheringham it would of been easy enough to recall him back from Queens to replace any of there keepers. It just doesn't add up on their part. And if he's going to Livi it would need to be as there No 1, not sit on the bench and lose guaranteed game time, which he's getting currently at Queens.
Then Livingston's wouldn't be able to play him against his parent club for the rest of the season as well.

I find it pretty shite from The Rangers as well. To recall a player just to loan them to another club is poor form IMO. Unless Livin are contributing more to his wages I don't see what benefit this is to them.

Jack Hamilton easily played his best game but he is a Dykes of maybe 5 years ago really raw and has a lot to learn.

Has to be more aggressive for me he does not put himself about enough .

We really need midfield players Paton Kidd McCarthy and now Lyon are not good enough looks like AJ had signed quantity rather than quality.

What kind of player was Dykes like 5 years ago? did you see many of his games back in Australia then?

Thought Hamilton played well put in a good shift and got his goal he is still a young boy so obviously isnt the finished article yet but there is a player in there

First home game missed this season but thought we done well, Holts best game for us so far defence looked pretty solid aswell

We badly need centre midfielders and a winger, I Thought the game crying out for Oliver or Murray to run at there full backs.
