  1. Musa reminds me a fair bit of Rab Douglas. A cracking goalie, but you know a calamity can be just around the corner. Guy is like a lot of young goalies though, early twenties and hasn't played a lot of football. After a couple of hundred games there's every chance he'll be a cracking goalie.

Hope BU can hold onto him for as long as possible, but signing a new goalie (if he's signed!) would suggest he might not be long for us.

One of the older Bo’ness gents on the terracing reckoned your goalie has his eye on a move up the ladder, and Ruddy brought in as a result of that.

Musa has been in and around training with Raith Rovers for a decent length of time. Not ready for that level yet but have to presume there's some interest that got him in the door.

Know Stenhouse was injured but what if any news on Rutherford & Mooney. Good to get updates on players.

Good confidence booster for Finn Malcom with his double.

Mooney away to Tynecastle on loan. Thought he looked like he had something about him in his fleeting performances, and that's one of many reasons why I'm not a football manager.

  4. Given the chaos of the summer, I'm delighted with the work Hunter and co have done. The squad being on the younger side is great and I'm confident in their ability with a full summer of planning to upgrade where they need to, rather than the supermarket sweep when they came in.

First of all, understand why so mutch attention paid to incoming players,  we have moved on 5 , so our match squad is 21, by most accounts just about right.

I'd suggest it's because most people aren't fans of teams who every time they hit a tiny bump in the road, go out and spend cash like a kid playing football manager. It's also no secret of how good the wages on offer are compared to the rest of the division despite a relatively small fan base - you call that jealousy but we've all seen how these projects tend to end so theres an element of it feeling like a waste of time. And worst of all in my opinion, when a young lad gets injured the begging bowl is out to pay for his surgery/rehab while simultaneously the board are signing players and voting in B teams.

Away from the signings, Mick doesn't come across well that often, especially on social media which irks people. Particularly when he espouses how brilliant his side is, then in the flesh they're nothing special. Ferry also has his critics here, especially after the Broomhill shambles.

And if EK/Mick weren't splashing the cash to walk the division we'd currently have a multi team title fight with Bo'ness and Tranent at the heart of it, which is exactly what the Lowland League should be providing. SPFL fans would be excited about them potentially coming up and the new away days on offer to fresh places and interesting old grounds, nobody is bothered about potentially going to watch football in a glorified fives cage in East Kilbride.

  6. Good performance in the end today after a bit of a shambles at the start.

Musa doing what he tends to do from time to time and I reckon he was lucky to stay on the park in truth. Second goal was another few errors in a row and suddenly we were two down.

From there though the boys were l excellent. Louis Kennedy probably had his best game in a BU shirt, fighting for every ball and delivering quality into the box. Fin Malcolm who's had a trying time to say the least with two good finishes to take the lead.

Then enter the villain, Matty Flynn. What a fucking moron to get sent off for two dissent bookings one after the other. That said, not as thick as his pal who got sent off for dissent two minutes later.

Topped off by an absolute thunderbolt at the end from Porteous. Despite not really delivering whats been expected from him so far, you can't argue with his goals, great production from a left winger.

All in all an excellent day out, would hate to have been sitting home with nothing to watch on such a glorious winters day.

How much to get into boness games and is it pay at the gate?thinking of going on boxing day

Cash at the gate, £8. Boxing day should be a cracking game and if your still around there's the rematch over the hill on the 30th
