If by "the writing's on the wall" you mean he'll be out on his arse shortly then I think you're wrong. We've only lost to Rangers who probably have about 10 times our budget and Aberdeen who have had a hex over us for as long as I can remember. The c***s.

As far as a plan b is concerned I can't really comment on this season as I've not seen enough of them but Hartley's not been afraid to change things in the past. Yes, draws are shite but it's not as if we lost Harkins, Stewart and Hemmings at the end of last season and had a full summer to put a squad together and get them to gel.

You said the two home draws aren't good enough while conveniently failing to mention the cracking result away at County.

Stop being so negative ffs. Boys like you at Dens do my tits in.

We drew 15 league games last season, thats with Harkins, Hemmings and Stewart, these draws arent a new thing.

Yes we had a good result in Ross County, so thats 1 win in 6 games, and out the cup to some diddies. Hardly a good start to the season.

Stop being deluded, boys like you not at Dens do my tits in.

I actually dont, but I do feel quite touched that youre thinking of me.

I dont read any other forums, so dont know what is going on elsewhere, the people I attend Dens with all back Hartley, and think he is doing a decent/good job.

I wish Hartley was a success, I wish we progressed under him, and will admit that losing Harkins, Hemmings and Stewart was always going to be difficult, but the writings on the wall for him IMO. 2 points from 4 home games, including playing the two weakest sides from last season just isnt good enough. The next 4 games will be hard going, I cant see any wins there.

Before the boo boys have a go at me, disagree if you want, its only an opinion, but I really do fear for us. We dont have a striker to score goals, we dont have a formation that works, and Hartley has no plan B. It will be a long hard season IMO.

  3. The McCann and Weighorst years were entertaining as a kid, the daft years under Marrs were brilliant, but almost killed the club, then we have had a decade of misery.

Hartley did well initially, but last season was poor, and this season will be worse. He cant change a game, he is too defensive and seems to be delighted with draws. I genuinely fear for us this season.

  4. Last season we drew far too many games, this season, we have played Hamilton, Killie and Rangers, the three worst ranked clubs in the league from last season. Realistically Rangers will do well, but we have 2 points from 3 game. Is that progress? Its just the exact same nonsense as last season.

I know that Hartleys fanboys think he is some up and coming great manager, but be honest, last season was a disappointment, and this season will be significantly worse.

Hartley has not progressed as a manager, we have not progressed as a club, these arent good times to be a Dee.

  5. I wasnt there last night, but I do agree that a section of Dundee fans just get on the players backs for 90 minutes. Something I have never done.

Its probably the least enjoyable thing about fitba, the constant negativity from the stands. I dont see any harm in stuff on message boards, or pubs, but to boo and jeer players achieves feck all.

  6. Apparently not being a fan of Hartley means your an Arab, or worse.

Hartley has done a good job, but thats it, lets not think he is great, exceptional, etc because he simply isnt.

Last season, how many draws did we get against ten men, how many games did we fail to achieve what we expected, we didnt compete as we should have. We had a decent season, and for comparisons sake, lets look at Utd, they had a dismal season, we won three games more than them, is that good enough? Hartleys negativity cost us from finishing in the top 6 IMO.

Im not impressed with his signings this season, I hope Im wrong, but two bit part players from ICT and a guy released from Killie, cmon thats not great.

  7. Stewart is a good player, and will be a miss to Dundee when he leaves. But I do think he is over rated, for every great goal he scores, he has a handful of games where he does nothing.

Id be happy to sell him if we got a good offer this summer, if not, theres no point letting him go for peanuts. If he does go to Ibrox, he will be a bit part player if they start spending decent money on signings to try and compete with Celtic, although that may be some time away.
