Was Swankie drink driving?
I’ve no time for it either. Nobody should get behind a wheel after having a drink3 -
Balde caught drunk driving it seems. Maybe why he was let go. Was told a few weeks ago he had a few issues

The mistakes by Little and Gatson are actually so bad its almost laughable, I don't see errors like that watching my son's team. Horrific really.

Little hasn’t played the last two and I’m assuming hasn’t been around due to the birth of his kid so hardly a surprise. Assuming Dow is unfit so looks a toss up between Norey and Jacobs. No surprise he’s taken the safe option of Jacobs with his experience. Big onus on Hylton, Bird and McKenna to create

There is no way someone managing in the juniors jumps to managing in the championship despite his playing background.

I am a bit perplexed about this "not keen on the interim team" , what were we supposed to do? let the players run the team for 3 weeks? Malcolm has been a manager at a few clubs and has been around the club for the past month, makes perfect sense to let him run with it until we advertise, interview and select a manager (a process which should take a few weeks if done properly)
The fact that we have advertised it would say we don't have a man in mind, I don't think Kevin Thomson would go for it, comes across like a fud who just touts himself for any job under the sun and greets when he doesn't get it, not the guy for us. I have a feeling we might be underwhelmed with the appointment, I can see a Jim McIntyre or an Allan Johnston type, I hope I am wrong.

We’ve been pish for over a month yet you think we can win every game. It’s a bit tiresome.
So he just think we turn up and lose every single game? We were Pish for the first month and the whole of pre season then out of nowhere won 4 on the bounce. Dunfermline were dreadful on Friday night, we have to think we can get a result or else what’s the point

Unless they turned to a senior player which could've been an utter shambles, there wasn't really another option. Malcolm will be in charge for 2 or 3 games max you would imagine. Not really his fault either.

Please not Kevin Thomson, guy just seems like a egotistical fanny.
Callum Davidson seems a good fit for me

If we can’t beat a managerless, part-time side at home then we really are in bother.
Three points are essential for us and although we will be favourites, it’s a free hit for Arbroath and our confidence will undoubtedly be low.
Big game on Tuesday and then on Sat vs QP. Need to see a reaction in performances and results.
A free hit? we are in desperate need of points and we are playing against a team who are three points ahead of us who with all due respect were absolutely rank rotten on Friday, its anything but a free hit, we need to go there with a plan to get something out the game.

Not really said much recently as I’m pretty disgusted at some of the antics of our support. The change of manager is probably the right call at this time but some of the stuff and abuse yesterday was embarrassing. I don’t mean to come across like a wet wipe but shouting at swearing at Dick after all hes done for us is shameful, hearing stories of someone trying to spit at him and then Colin Hamilton being held back from an altercation, just ridiculous.
Theres been a demise on the playing side for a while but Dick will go down as one of our best ever managers both on and off the pitch. We’re a totally transformed club and a large percentage of that is Down to him.
The board have a huge call to make now, hard one as I believe we need someone who comes with a style and clear plan but short term that group of players need motivated and to dig out points as some of them look like they’re going through the motions.

I think if we can get that team on the pitch or close to it, then we can definitely pick up results against Ayr and Dunfermline. They've both been very up and down also.
The concern for me is the back up players just not being up to it, hopefully that gets addressed in January.

This is a huge game, I don't see anyone getting rested, not sure where that would come from, hopefully injuries have cleared from last week and we can get back to near enough the team that saw us go on that winning run.
I would go;
Gatson
Stewart Steele O'Brien Hamilton
Dow Gold Slater Hylton
McKenna
Bird

Group of Death - England, Denmark, Scotland, Italy
Group of Life - Belgium, Albania, Scotland, "play off C winner"

It really comes down to injuries, losing Dow and O'Brien weakens us quite considerably for the last two matches, hopefully both are back and fit to start the next match. I don't think we got it right tactically at Tannadice and suffered as a result.
I think our strongest 11 is probably
Gatson
Stewart Steele O'Brien Hamilton
Dow Slater Gold Hylton
McKenna
Bird
Harsh on Ricky as he has been an outstanding servant and player but he is just not playing well enough, people will point towards his age and wouldn't completely write him off. Our back up players like Turan, Jacobs, Norey, Lyon etc probably not quite good enough, if one of them plays we will get by but if they all start we are weakened as is the same with most teams.

If Hamilton is fit enough to play the length of time he did at Tannadice then he has to start, wouldnt be pissing about. He'll have had 8 days to recover and he has been working on his fitness for it seems like an eternity.
Not sure how long Dow is out for but if he isnt fit, Stewart should move to the right.

If you like an artificial pitch!!
I may have worded that better, there were a few non league teams still involved which may have meant playing on a tattie field which would've been a leveller whereas this is not the case at spartans.

Decent draw, should be a decent surface to play on and a decent day out. Few ex lichties in their team also

Strange for anyone to think morton and Inverness winning would indicate results going well for us. We need to stay as high above the bottom 2 as possible

The start to the game basically killed it as a contest. They are stratospheres above anyone in the league but doesn’t help when iii gift them goals.
We could’ve set ourselves up more defensively and played it really cagey but the result would’ve been the same. A poor night but United will do that to a lot of teams if they are in that form, 5.0 they scudded thistle last week.
Hope Dow is back fit. He’s pivotal in that system

It looked like there was about 5 leagues between the teams the first 20 minutes. We steadied a hit and it looked a horrific mistake by Gatson for the 3rd

Actually don't mind it being a Friday night, looking forward to it and congrats to United.
I have always preferred Dundee out of the two clubs though, more of a working mans football club.

Can’t see there being any succession planning there at all. When Dick hangs up the bunnet I would imagine we will be able to attract a very good manager to replace him. Welcome back to Malky, looks a positive move and hopefully welcomed by the players, he’ll maybe have some fresh ideas on the training pitch, can’t see his involvement being much more than that.

Dundee Hibernian 0 Arbroath 2
Result will get us right back in this title race

Not sure what the lad does for a job, but he wont lose his job as a footballer, even if we were to punt him, he would get picked up almost straight away.
