  1. Listened to the Stenny chairman there. Mozza never grilled him that much and he was firing excuses left, right and centre.

Stenny have taken the financial hit from not being able to rob us every season. They even said they wouldnt miss our money.

Karma catching up with them and its time everyone found their level. Disappointing as the whole system reeks of self preservation and before we know it the LL will be at a higher standard than League 2.

The most refreshing thing about the LL is not having to play everyone twice, or 6 times if you meet in the play-offs, or up to 10 times if you met in every cup (replah in scottish).

Makes the games bigger and season more interesting.

The community work the club is doing is outstanding though. Hats off to them.

  2. Another honking post with a clear agenda!
"Many folk" [emoji1787] You made some imaginary friends?
My favourite thing about this is Falkirk would be stuck in League One without the reconstruction[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  3. Been loving these podcasts lads. Listened to no 68 this morning and totally agree with what you boys are saying.

Unfortunately I feel that Kelty and Brora are going to be screwed over in all this.

Would the be allowed into League 2 if they showed they were willing to use Zoom and Whatsapp like other progressive clubs? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

  4. We have to keep the boundary under review. Tier 5 and below are changing beyond belief and the system has to be tweaked to take account of this.
The German model has "colts" - so rein yourself in!
    See what I did there.
    I like it!

I just meant the system, not on board with colt teams!
  5. I can’t see anything changing until they expand the third or fourth tiers. I also agree that automatic promotion wouldn’t work and that’s obviously because of the distribution and quality of teams across the country.

The only way I could see automatic promotion working is if they split Tier 5 into 4 leagues. 2 Northern Leagues in the Highland and a new Tayside, Angus and Fife League and 2 Southern Leagues, one in the East and one in the West. Automatic relegation from League 2 and promotion for the winners of the north play off and south play off. The current boundary doesn’t work because of the distribution of the population and clubs across the county. My new one would mean a fairer split of clubs but still local enough to minimise travel etc. I know this would never be implemented but if I was in charge this is what I’d try and create.
That's similar to the German system which we should be looking to follow
  6. Gutted, but, football seems secondary just now and the Lowland League had a hard decision to make.
I agree man. Feel sorry for you as it was tight but I agree there was no easy way to solve this that pleases everyone.

Signed most of your squad up for next season, should be a cracker!
  7. Can we no just go back a year in time and have no relegation then [emoji23]
Like to see all the posters thoughts that were adamant bottom team is definately relegated this season now then. [emoji14]
That's why I think they should go down mate. Whitehill were shafted!
  8. You also wanted Vale doon [emoji2369]
Aye I would've wanted them down if it means making a space for Bo'ness. I had thought that with the door possibly closing from League 2 we'd keep our 16, possibly expand to 18 as we'd have time to do that.
  9.
A BAD decision by the Lowland League.

Should have declared the season null and void.

No relegation, so presumably the league will have to be expanded to accommodate any licensed EoS and SoS champions?
I also dont think it's a bad decision. We needed certainty and hopefully we have some reconstruction in the process

    I hope so!
  11. The relevant bit from the SPFL rules reads:
    Annex 9 - I©
Any amendment to these Pyramid Play-Off Rules must be agreed by each of the Scottish FA, SPFL, SHFL and SLFL prior to it becoming effective.
    Edit:
That looks as if the SPFL’s proposals could be deemed “ultra vires”, therefore subject to challenge by the HL / LL.

Of course, the HL / LL could use the situation as a bargaining tool to facilitate the automatic relegation of Club 42 in future years.

That's the only scenario I'd be happy with if a relegation didnt occur
  12.                           Weir
    Currie         Tapping   Reid      Linton
    Dishington   Easton    Orr     McNabb
             Austin                Megachie
pretty attack minded but like goals n plenty in that team
Dont think Mcgachie has played enough. Bump Tam Orr up top and stick Nicky Low in there surely
