Listened to the Stenny chairman there. Mozza never grilled him that much and he was firing excuses left, right and centre.
Stenny have taken the financial hit from not being able to rob us every season. They even said they wouldnt miss our money.
Karma catching up with them and its time everyone found their level. Disappointing as the whole system reeks of self preservation and before we know it the LL will be at a higher standard than League 2.
The most refreshing thing about the LL is not having to play everyone twice, or 6 times if you meet in the play-offs, or up to 10 times if you met in every cup (replah in scottish).
Makes the games bigger and season more interesting.
The community work the club is doing is outstanding though. Hats off to them.4 -
My favourite thing about this is Falkirk would be stuck in League One without the reconstruction[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]Another honking post with a clear agenda!
"Many folk" [emoji1787] You made some imaginary friends?0 -
Been loving these podcasts lads. Listened to no 68 this morning and totally agree with what you boys are saying.
Unfortunately I feel that Kelty and Brora are going to be screwed over in all this.
Would the be allowed into League 2 if they showed they were willing to use Zoom and Whatsapp like other progressive clubs? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]1 -
I like it!We have to keep the boundary under review. Tier 5 and below are changing beyond belief and the system has to be tweaked to take account of this.
The German model has "colts" - so rein yourself in!
See what I did there.
I just meant the system, not on board with colt teams!0 -
That's similar to the German system which we should be looking to followI can’t see anything changing until they expand the third or fourth tiers. I also agree that automatic promotion wouldn’t work and that’s obviously because of the distribution and quality of teams across the country.
The only way I could see automatic promotion working is if they split Tier 5 into 4 leagues. 2 Northern Leagues in the Highland and a new Tayside, Angus and Fife League and 2 Southern Leagues, one in the East and one in the West. Automatic relegation from League 2 and promotion for the winners of the north play off and south play off. The current boundary doesn’t work because of the distribution of the population and clubs across the county. My new one would mean a fairer split of clubs but still local enough to minimise travel etc. I know this would never be implemented but if I was in charge this is what I’d try and create.0 -
Yawn.Shire not going to court as there is a warrant out for the whole lot of them as they have played murder all season!!!!
Stop being so upset that your tactic of 'cancel every home game we can till the end of the season' came back to bite you on the arse.
Happily give you a 10 point head start next season.2 -
I agree man. Feel sorry for you as it was tight but I agree there was no easy way to solve this that pleases everyone.Gutted, but, football seems secondary just now and the Lowland League had a hard decision to make.
Signed most of your squad up for next season, should be a cracker!2 -
That's why I think they should go down mate. Whitehill were shafted! Can we no just go back a year in time and have no relegation then [emoji23]
Like to see all the posters thoughts that were adamant bottom team is definately relegated this season now then. [emoji14]1 -
Aye I would've wanted them down if it means making a space for Bo'ness. I had thought that with the door possibly closing from League 2 we'd keep our 16, possibly expand to 18 as we'd have time to do that. You also wanted Vale doon [emoji2369]0 -
How are we feeling in here then? Lost out by just over .1 points per game

I also dont think it's a bad decision. We needed certainty and hopefully we have some reconstruction in the process
A BAD decision by the Lowland League.
Should have declared the season null and void.
No relegation, so presumably the league will have to be expanded to accommodate any licensed EoS and SoS champions?0 -
I hope so!

That's the only scenario I'd be happy with if a relegation didnt occurThe relevant bit from the SPFL rules reads:
Annex 9 - I©
Any amendment to these Pyramid Play-Off Rules must be agreed by each of the Scottish FA, SPFL, SHFL and SLFL prior to it becoming effective.
Edit:
That looks as if the SPFL’s proposals could be deemed “ultra vires”, therefore subject to challenge by the HL / LL.Of course, the HL / LL could use the situation as a bargaining tool to facilitate the automatic relegation of Club 42 in future years.

Dr Goals should be in there surely?

It would only be delaying the inevitable.Good point. Already got the main muck out the league such as east stirling etc so a shut league for a couple of seasons would be fine.
It will be glorious when it finally comes knocking on your door.

Horrible club. They'll get what's coming to them eventuallyhttps://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/call-relegation-league-two-be-suspended-2517037
Stenhousemuir. Let's just hit the pause button for a couple of years. Let everyone take a wee breather.1 -
Suspend relegation fron League 2 for 2 years?
Obviously know which way your club is going!3 -
Dont think Mcgachie has played enough. Bump Tam Orr up top and stick Nicky Low in there surelyWeir
Currie Tapping Reid Linton
Dishington Easton Orr McNabb
Austin Megachie
pretty attack minded but like goals n plenty in that team1 -
That'a absolutely pishBottom isn't a guarantee of getting relegated. LL champion promoted with SPFL42 relegated to the Highland League is a scenario that saves 16th in the LL.0 -
Bottom team always gets relegated. Happened to whitehillVoL wouldn't go down if Kelty beat Brora and then Brechin.0 -
They fact that we have played out over 80% of the season means the positions should stand.
Congratulations Kelty, sorry VOL.
Only thing left to sort is the one off neutral venue play-off with winners relegating Brechin after another one off game.0 -

I dont care what we do at the top of the table but please relegate the bottom club

Been told from a good source that Kelty will be crowned champions and represent our league in the playoffs (behind closed doors).
