  1. Happened a few years back but glad that Shamal can finally get a bit of closure with this
  2. Go take the spam posts elsewhere No one here cares, two seasons does not make you iconic. Rather, celebrating in front of Livi fans multiple times does make you a bit of a p***k. Engagement farming nonsense.
  3. One thing I worry about is a further fractured and split fanbase. Some fans won't go back if Martindale doesn't go, or if Ward is still there. Others wont go back if R/H/S get control. A fresh start is really badly needed for the club at this point and a complete break from the infighting.
  4. That's how you know it's a load of shite, both pitches were laid in the same summer, by the same company, with the same product. The only difference between the pitches is that they have green pellets and we have black (they, and Hamilton used them all up). Ours is technically 1 month newer than Raith's.
  5. No real point in thinking we're going to get something from this, same cycle every week. Go into the game thinking about what we need to go our way, lose with a whimper and remember that we're already down at this point.
  6. I hope that once we're actually down that some people's entitlement dies down for the Championship. I got really annoyed mid-season with Martindale and the way this has gone, I also thought that replacing him mid-season was the best idea to stay up. However, I don't think there's a better person to take us forward in the Championship. He needs to learn from the poor recruitment but continuity will do us far better as a club than taking some random manager that'll be away within 18 months will. Him just decided to chuck it at the end of the season is probably a worst case scenario because it means suffering through the second half of this season was pointless.
  7. Can only imagine filming it will go as well as the Falkirk one went
  8. I thought at the time QotS fans were saying he was a CB that can fill in at CDM. No chance he'd be any better at CDM though given his incredible one footedness. From the sounds of it a lot of the squad will have relegation clauses, just need to wait and see how bad it really is, just need to wait for the summer to find out. I'm not overly worried about a double relegation though, there's enough clubs in there that should be on similar budget levels to us. IMO playoffs should be the aim.
  9. He's great physically, in the air, bodying defenders. He's useless with a ball at his feet and literally cannot use his left foot to kick a ball.
  10. Anderson apparently has a deal at Killie, but St Mirren linked as well. Obileye apparently has a deal at Motherwell Nouble had a deal lined up with Exeter, in January, but they pulled out so about that level makes sense I think
  11. Martindale confirming Bruce, Nouble and Obileye are off next season. Breakdown from that from me is: Anderson was criminally underused in this season. If he was starting more we'd have more than wins than we do now. Nouble's failure to get a move last summer came at the exact same time as his form falling off a cliff, no surprise - very frustrating player that I can see moving sideways at best and struggling for game time. Another manager won't give him the same patience he's had this season. Obileye is very limited and without a left foot at all, he did well for us alongside a good/better defender like Guthrie/Fitzwater who could carry him through but when he's asked to do actual defending beyond his physical attributes he struggles big time. Guys like Devlin and Nottingham aren't good enough to compensate for him. Not a surprise that they're off to be fair but at least it's confirmed.
  12. I'd be looking around trying to find the hidden cameras and asking what show I'm on by that point
  13. Thank f**k. He really wasn't good enough at all
  14. Yeah Amberstone have been awful any time I've interacted with them - either inept or arrogant.
  15. You'd imagine that in any future circumstance we'll just deny Rangers or Celtic any banners or tifos without question. It's not like they'd do anything of consequence like reducing allocations or denying tickets to the GB.
  16. Interesting statement, but the whole bluff about it being prevented in future is just being said in the knowledge it'll not be in a league game and we probably won't get them in the cups in all likeliness.
  17. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it? I'm agreeing with you, anyone in the same position wouldn't want to give it up. I've grew up watching Livi and his voice over the tannoy has been the only one I've known - the only one any Livi fan has known! Genuinely you could be on to something but I'd imagine the acoustics of a stadium will be different with 3 empty stands vs 4 full ones too. Probably a lot that goes into it.
  18. Puzzling response really. He's obviously been blindsided by it and he's gone on the defensive. He seems to have calmed down now, but I can't blame him for being emotional for being asked to step down from a position he's held for 35+ years. He would've been emotional had it been now or the end of the season, that's indisputable surely. For him to come out and say he was sacked when he'd been offered a lifetime season ticket in the directors area, a tribute in both the programme and on the website and to be offered an alternative job within the club is mental. I'd say it was really good from the club, except for the timing.
  19. Yeah Ward is 100% a Celtic fan, as is McIlvogue. Which I find really funny as certain parts of the Celtic support have us down as a 'Rangers leaning' clue due to Martindale's past. We can't just be Livi, we have to pick a side
  20. The club installed a new sound system during the summer due to the complaints people had - for me it's been probably 4 or 5 years since anything has been clear through it. I think the reason they asked for feedback was to find out if people were still having issues with it. If so, as people have been, there was only one thing left to really do to fix it. I agree that it should've been done at the end of the season, maybe even have organised some kind of honorary match for him as well. However, I think even if it was said to him at the end of the season he wouldn't have wanted to step down and reacted the same.
  21. On one hand I think it's very very sad for us to be losing a life long Livi legend. On the other, I haven't heard/understood a single thing he's said through the tannoy for years and I'm not surprised he's been asked to step aside.
