  1. Curious as to how people come to the conclusion that 'he was pish last season but fine for league 1'. If we want to win league 1 filling our team full of championship failures is not the way to go. I saw nothing from him last season to suggest he is capable of playing pro football at any level. He is an abortion of a left back who is only still in the game because he is mates with Gary Locke. Get him to f**k.

  2. Gutted to hear the news about prodigy. I remember when I got my first car 'Hell On Earth' and 'The Infamous' albums were never off my stereo. Me and my mates would drive up and down Kirkcaldy prom smoking joints and thinking we were gangsters.

    Those were the days...

  3. Two fullbacks, a keeper and a couple of wingers are needed minimum. Hopefully some of the u20 squad from last season will be good enough to fill those positions. We definitely need more height and physicality in the team than we currently have in the squad. Apart from The centre halfs and callachan the rest are too short to be marking at set plays and we won't be much of a threat from our own cross balls. Don't fancy our chances unless this changes due to the style of play you expect to come up against in this league.

Would be more confident about that if we actually signed anyone...

Jean Yves M'voto? If that is your managers idea of strengthening the squad to push for promotion then yous would be better sticking with last years squad. With a reasonable first quarter last season you would have made the top four no problem.

    Hello Rovers fans,

    I have a quiz for you https://www.sporcle.com/games/purplefrogg6/raith-rovers-top-5-scorers-since-9899

Name the top 5 scorers in each season since 98/99. Good luck, hope it doesn't bring back too many painful memories!

Enjoyed that. Missed some obvious answers and don't know how to spell the name of our 2011/12 Argentinian striker. Talking of Argentinian strikers I was surprised 'Prest' wasn't a correct answer.

According to a Dundee fan on their forum they read Vaughan was linked via Twitter. More worryingly it also says it's not just Dundee after him but also Killie, St Mirren and Falkirk,

I doubt it's true. It's very rare for clubs of the size mentioned to actually pay a transfer fee for a player these days, especially someone as unproven as Vaughan.

All you guys have done is greet about potentially losing Vaughan. Hardly a mention of Bobby Barr... Player of the year and a better, more experienced player than Vaughan.

Anyway, if he's staying then I hope he does the job for us.

Oh aye right enough Vaughan has only scored 9 times where as Barr has such a great scoring record and sets up goals left, right and centre... Player of the year??? That is a ridiculous shout. Never seen him put in a half decent performance post September and he seems to have a stinking attitude. Personally I would get him to f**k.

Yeah they're going to be shite for the rest of their career because of last season, what was your opinion on the players that have been here for a while and played under McKinnon?. We're going down to a weaker league and the bulk of the squad, contracted or not, should be more than capable to provide the goods. A combination of bad management which led to poor results and ultimately lack of confidence saw these players form dip (isn't that just human nature?). We've got a new manager who can hopefully get them back to the standard we know they are capable of, imo at least.

My opinion of the players who have been here for a while and played in the squad that reached the playoffs? Cuthbert past his best, Thomson looks completely shot, Davidson past his best and never  liked him anyway tbh. C. Barr is decent but we all know his injury record. Stewart is decent when fully fit but he is injury prone and doesn't score enough. Vaughan, callachan, mathews and Benedictus are the only 4 players at the club I would be disappointed to see leave.

  9. It seems like everyone on here just wants to see pretty much the same squad that let us down so badly last season again next year. I honestly can't believe people are debating whether the club should keep the likes of Davidson, Thomson and McHattie. f**k them right off. And everyone seems to think we should retain C Barr???? Ffs how many times does he have to miss most of the season before we cut our losses?

The only good job anyone could do with Dundee would be avoid relegation - again. There is no room for potential. Do you want to be a manager in a League that you have a chance of winning or a League where you know avoiding relegation is a success? As a career move JR should stay where he is with a golden opportunity instead of going where there are no opportunities. If he wins the League or gets to the play-offs his reputation rockets and he can move to a big club with potential - Dundee are not that club.

Neither are St Johnstone but look at what they have achieved in recent years.  Finishing 4th with a smaller club is a far greater achievement than winning the championship with a club like St Mirren.

Dougie hill, rejected a new deal with us, wanted a new challenge, heard raith or Arbroath bound, could be waiting for Dick Campbell to decide on job, big loss for us,

I would be happy to see Dougie back at starks. He is the type of defender you need in league 1. I would take Willie Dyer back as well if possible.

I'd be interested to hear what these resources are exactly? Its not your stadium that's for sure.

    #rentboy

In Kirkcaldy we buy these things called 'season tickets'

Atleast we play in an actual stadium. Can't even call that abortion you play at a stadium. One stand and a plastic pitch that you groundshare with Star Hearts :thumsup2

I think you've been lied to, they were sold for Ryan Stevensons pies apparently.

Only one man knows the budgets of both clubs for the forthcoming season and he has just abandoned you's to join the Rovers. Think you lot should be the ones worried about budgets and finances given that fact.

All our best players are signed up for next season and some for the next 2 seasons thankfully, so unless your willing to pay for them I wouldn't think any.

I heard we have some extra nets, bibs, cones and size 5s in the big shed behind the railway stand. Pretty sure we can trade that for your best 3 players.

Anybody watched any of Richard Halls work on this on youtube?

Yes I have watched all his Mccann stuff. He has certainly put in the research. He proves something very sinister indeed was going on. Would recommend anyone who has an interest to watch it.

All 3 of those players were probably comfortably the 3 worst midfielders in the championship this season yet are comfortably the 3 best in League 1?

Geggan was absolutely rancid for the Pars in CM at the start of this season.

Docherty and Cairney were starting in comfortably the worst team in the championship this season.

A worst 3 midfielders in the championship list can't be taken seriously without Ian Davidson and Jordan Thomson filling the top 2 positions
