  1. Hahaha I know it was painful writing it but Davie Weir did play in the champions league when he was 40 I'm sure and regardless to who he played for its a great achievement. Buffon, seems to be getting better the older he gets same with Pirlo until he went to the states. Yeah I agree it's lifestyle plain and simple. Take Gazza for example that man could of been anything and yes it is ashame to what he's became but it was self inflicted and IMHO he was a waste of God given talent.
  2. You may have a point but I think that's who Maradona was, liked to sniff coke and he'd probably be the same now but like you say who knows..... he's in some state now tho. Awww I couldn't agree more the conditions the players played in back then we're something else, parks were a disgrace and the ball was like a cannonball. Like you say it's all subjective and people will have their own views on it. My top 5 Messi Ronaldo Zidane Ronaldinho Fat Ronaldo
  3. Yes quite possibly but addiction or substance abuse in any form would impact his ability to perform consistently with these types of players they are stronger and faster than anything he'd have played against. He was without question a genius of his time but I'm skeptical to whether him or any other player would be suited to the modern game, even from a tactical sense. Davie weir and Maldini ( can't believe I used them in the same sentence ) are testiment to how a healthy lifestyle and correct training methods prolong a career.
  4. I agree footballers are far to protected but have to disagree, Messi is kicked up and down the place.... gets up and goes again, he glides past defenders, his balance is frightening and turn of pace is out of this world. Of course it's open to debate but for me Messi and Ronaldo go down as the 2 greatest players to play the game. Personally I'd say Messi is the best ever without question, he was born to be that great where as Ronaldo worked hard to get to where he is and you have to admire him for that even tho he's a c**t. My background is in sports science and I love what it's done for the modern game but Maradona's lifestyle would not allow him to compete with the average player now adays, they are physically far superior to players of old and the game has evolved and these players at elite level are athletes pure and simple.
  5. Is this new star wars film the follow up to force awakens or different all together?
  6. Sorry to hear that mate, my mum has the same illness and my grandmother died from it. mum is a heavy smoker and her lung capacity is like 53% down from 77 in less than a year, now she has been told the end result and it's still not stopping her.
  7. I have the luxury of only needing to work part time and even when I was full time I could get through 20 in a 8 hour shift. It's pretty much chain smoking.... I know on a Saturday I can't smoke between the hours of 12-4 because of football so from say 8-12 I'll smoke more to make up for those I'd miss. Even when I've fallen asleep if I wake I'll go outside for a fag. It's a horrible habit and not to mention expensive. Worked out I spend 8k a year on fags [emoji21]
  8. This sounds daft but when I was going through stopping the first time ( of many ) what made me start again was my taste buds coming back, the food I thought I liked started tasting horrible. Think the main thing is wanting to stop, I always had some bullshit rationality to why I started again, was just excuse after excuse. I'm going to try again after the new year no point doing it over the festive period as I'll be on the lash quite a lot.
  9. I smoke and I wish I hadn't started it's my biggest regret. I spend £21 a day on something that is totally pointless and so hard to stop doing as I've tried on countless occasions and failed. I was always naturally fit but as soon as I hit 25 it had a massive effect on how I played football. It's a mugs game
  10. Watching the Joshua v Molina behind the ropes and I'm actually quite blown away at how humble Joshua is, not one bit of arrogance in him. He's totally dedicated to his sport.
  11. The Infiltrator.. Not sure what do make of it a lot going on with nothing much happening. Decent story buy could of been a lot lot better. 6-10
  12. My first one was when I was 21 and I loved every second of it and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. It was called the red Sea magic. I loved all the excursions that it had to offer and a great way to meet me new people. Granted at the captains dinner I did have a 60 year old posh woman teach me to eat soup correctly because I reminded her of her grandson [emoji23][emoji23] we went all inclusive and it was only and extra £149 pp which was a good deal and as it was a British ship it was all branded spirits and lagers with the only exception being bottled water. We had a whole night at sea and I used it as a perfect excuse to be at the casino, I won more than the holiday cost lol. Just want my son to experience different types of holidays and take in places he may not see otherwise.

  15. Looking to book in a cruise for next years family holiday. I've been on a couple in the past off the top of my head it was the celebrity and It went round the red Sea, stopped in Jordan. Got to see the red rose city, valley of the King's and the pyramids and they were fantastic. Looking to take one in around Europe and wondered if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations? Not fussed on destinations but something suitable for families as I have an 11 year old son. Thanks
