  1. If Alan Martin is out for a game or two, hopefully the manager will stick with Jack and give him a chance to see what he can do. Very difficult position to play in as a youngster but sometimes being thrown in at the deepend is the best thing for them. I wasn't at the game today but are things looking a wee bit more optimistic or was it more a case of Brechin being poor?
  2. How did young jack Leighfield perform in goals when he came on?
  3. Bbc sport says Leighfield came on for del after 78 minutes! Surely not???
  4. My opinion is that you stick by your club through thick and thin. Don't take the ' it's my ball, I'm taking it home ' attitude. Yeah be pissed off with things and air your views but stick by your team and support the players and management team when the games are being played. Maybe we should give the BOD the benefit of doubt here. It's impossible to please everyone and if they had went out and rushed an appointment we'd all be moaning. Hopefully they have took their time and are getting in who they want. I'm led to believe that there could be an announcement tomorrow or the next day and that the new manager will be allowed to bring in their own assistant. JT will hopefully revert back to his community based job, which is ideally suited to him. Yeah it's not ideal when you miss out on a lucrative home draw with Celtic but it's not a disaster like the tragedy of the plane crash in Columbia. We'll bounce back again and look back and think, what were we all worrying about. (Hopefully) The players are short on confidence just now and will hopefully get a lift from a new guy in charge and try to impress, which usually happens after a new appointment. Staying away from games is cutting your nose off to spite your face. The club needs as many people through the fates as possible in order to bring new players in.
  5. Everybody knows JT and his wife Victoria get on very well with the chairman. Don't get me wrong Jim is a likeable guy, who I think has a lot to offer the club, but not with first team affairs. His old job was ideal for him and the club but he I believe his wage was funded by the Hollywood trust and they withdrew their funding, hence why he was given a new job and title.
  6. JT isn't as daft as he looks, hence the reason why he's turned down the managers job. He knows if he became manager then the buck would stop with him and eventually he would lose his job. There is only one guarantee when you become a manager, you eventually get sacked. By staying in the background he can stay in a job for life and dictate to the chairman and board of directors, who it looks like, they treat him as if he's Sir Alex Ferguson. Get JT back to his community based job, where he is obviously good, as he has the gift of the gab. Let the new manager bring in his own team and have full control of team affairs. That said is it not about time someone is appointed. I keep looking at the official QOS website in the hope someone has been appointed but the silence is deafening.
  7. Don't know what the debate was about regarding why Gav left. It was clear to see (even stevie wonder could see it) that there was no personal problems. Being the thoroughly decent guy that Gav is, he was never going to come and say that he had problems with his back room staff. Now we need the board to get their fingers out their arse and get a new manager in, along with there own number 2.
