  1. I agree. Part time could be the way forward, but the same is true of most, if not all, First Division clubs. Is a question of who has the balls to do it first really.
  2. Agree totally. But it's wrong to deny real Livingston supporters the opportunity to run the club correctly, free of the arseholes who have brought the club to its knees over the past few years. There's potential for a properly run senior community club in West Lothian. No doubt.
  3. I don't think there is any doubt so you would need to ask someone who still thinks the Italians are good guys. Livilions is full of these buffoons.
  4. The whole thing is a total and utter shambles. Sadly, there are still plenty of Livi supporters only too keen to give these people the benefit of the doubt, which I find absolutely staggering. My gut feeling is that the support is probably too divided to be capable of saving the club.
  5. I think the Trust guys were stuck between a rock and a hard place to be honest. I assume Italians weren't turning up unless it was on their terms so the alternative was cancelling at the last minute which would leave no one any further forward. That one person was not permitted to attend was deplorable but I suspect that any future meetings will be held outwith club property to avoid a repeat.
  6. Agree 100% but it ain't going to happen with Massone in charge.
  7. Was under the impression the current owners showed a previous interest, which was rekindled when the McMullen deal feel through.
  8. Not sure about HMRC but the statutory rate for commercial debt in these circumstances is base + 8%. 11% at the moment. Plus a small penalty fee.
  9. You may well be right but I am sure you agree that the correct thing for them to do is pay people what they are due and then go after Pearse. And let's not forget that a lot of the debt as it stands was racked up on their watch.
  10. Fair doos on the first point. To suggest that the club has no money is just plain silly though. Only the other day I saw a quote from Tommaso Angelini saying that the club had no money problems...
  11. Is that when you'll finally have the balls arrest the club's bank account, like?
  12. You might be right but you cut your cloth accordingly. If the club was taken into local ownership including supporters I think it would appeal more than the type of people on the make we have had to put up with to date. It would involve some serious work on community relations though.
  13. The club has been run in the wrong way since day one. The club has never been left to grow on its own which it would have done. The answer for us now is a part time set up which our fan base can comfortably support. We aren't and never have been an SPL sized club.
  14. I think we need to look at the big picture here chaps... Not the time for petty squabbles and personal vendettas.
  15. It's exactly my experience too. They don't answer letters, from me or my solicitor, they don't return calls, they knockback requests for a face to face meeting. I would have been open to payment by instalment, but by all accounts they've done that with the likes of HMRC only to default. I feel as though they've railroaded me into taking my own team to court, but other than just write it off there's not much else you can do.
  16. On the crowds we get now, we are a yo-yo team between First and Second. Of similar stature to Ross County, Ayr, Raith, Airdrie, Clyde and Hamilton. Circumstances have driven attendances down over the past few years. We were pulling in double what we get now in the Second / Third Division to start with.
  17. They tick one of your boxes anyway... The big issue with Livingston FC, and this goes back to the early days after the move from Edinburgh, is that everyone who has owned it has been under the delusion that we are a Premier League club. Had the club grown organically and found it's level (which I think is the First Division) we'd have much stronger foundations. The best thing that could happen IMHO is for us to be relegated to the Third Division after a bout of admin where we could start again with a clean slate and a sensible business plan.
  18. The SFA etc. need to do more to prevent chancers and crooks from taking clubs over in the first place. Recent history is full of examples of financial mismanagement. There should be some bond system or greater regular checks on club finances by governing bodies. In many European countries, clubs have to obtain a licence to operate and failure to obtain one results in relegation to an appropriate level.
  19. Its sad to say it but you are spot on. Having said that its not too late for the Livi support to get together and do something.
  20. You should be embarrassed at this feeble attempt to try and deflect attention from the central point which is that LFC is being mismanaged into oblivion.
  21. Its alright Massone is a lawyer. He knows what he is doing. And if you believe that...
  22. For me, the Trust is certainly the vehicle on which a fans takeover would be built. That's not necessarily an endorsement of the current board (although I have no problem with them), more that there is a legal structure to acquire the club which would be easiest. I would say that we should already be a part-time club anyway given our size of support, although that goes for most of the rest of the First Division as well. It would make sense to have a full time manager who could do promotional work etc., and maybe a couple of players who could double as youth team or community coaches. Based on what I know the Under 19s at Livi earn, you could also possibly keep a full time youth team on the go.
