Again we have a deal with an uanannounced club to take a keeper on loan. The reason I say this will be available on Tuesday (not a signing). Oooh there's a bit of a teaser......
Tena tuna mpango na klabu ambayo haijatangazwa kuchukua kipa kwa mkopo. Sababu ya mimi kusema hii itapatikana Jumanne (sio kusainiwa). Ooh kuna mcheshi kidogo......

Our core fanbase attended the playoff games.
Teams can't use our small support as a stick to beat us with and then also use it as evidence we deserted the team.
We've either got a small support or we desert them - can't be both.
There are individuals within our club we despise, however, that is true.
They are not mutually exclusive.
Your already low attendances fell off a cliff in the space of a couple of months.

That's simply not true. I'm 6 foot 3 and have watched games in the main stand no problem. I choose not to because there are three superior viewing ends at the greatest ground in the country.
3 ends? greatest ground in the country?

Yeah I’d think it’ll be Raith.
I see Ayr’s MD has confirmed the ‘home end’ will be allocated to Celtic fans for the upcoming friendly with the potential for Ayr to make £50k.
Being honest I’d hate Falkirk to do that vs one of the Bigots (I don’t think our current board would) but at least he’s being transparent with his own fans and telling them the money is more important than they are.
Aye, Ayr love the 'tic, had them in the artwork for their new stand.

How much do we reckon the club will make from the invincibles range? I haven’t a Scooby how much it costs to make a mug or stein but I would imagine t shirts, strips, towels, bar runners etc. are cheap as chips to manufacture. The margins must be reasonable, more than 15% I would imagine.
What pure profit do we think: £20k? £50k? £75k? £100k? More?
Could always help with the signing of a couple of players. (or to buy a new grass pitch)

Falkirk Stadium, 4 Stadium Way, Falkirk FK2 9EE you say?
So not Grangemouth then?

I’d also go further on broadcasting bit - clubs should be forced to fill the bits of the stadium that tv cameras face first. We often have games with decent crowds but stadium looks empty on TV. Again, stuff that can make the game a more attractive proposition. Point is, I’m not just against plastic pitches per se - it’s more about what our game should be / how we should market it.
Because Firhill is missing an end and not a side? So doesn't apply to PT?

They don't all need to be top drawer but similarly we shouldn't be expecting to sign complete shite just because of what division we're in. If he signs I'm fully expecting/hoping Cowie will be our No. 1.
Does that make Ross Stewart more of a No. 2?

Been a bit doom and gloom on here lately.
1st June, a wee (or big) signing announcement would be nice, lift everyone's spirits and keep the season ticket purchases momentum going.

Hi folks, I am following up on the idea that I floated in various threads to write to local representatives to try and prevent the ban on artificial pitches in Scottish Premiership.
If you read the Consultation paper, it is crystal clear that the ban is unfair and regressive - the recommendations for ensuring quality artificial pitches are sound.
Numbers and momentum is everything, so please, please do email (if you have 5 minutes for reading nonsense on P&B you have 2 mins to send two emails!). I recommend sending two emails, one to your MSP and one to your councillor/council lead.
I have created a draft email to copy and paste. I have also included instructions for who to email for rovers fans in Kirkcaldy (perhaps some kind soul could do similar for their own team in Airdrie/Falkirk/Dumfries/Hamilton/Cove respectively. I have left the Rovers version below as a template). I also have included how to find who to email. Thanks folks!
EMAIL SUBJECT LINE: RE: Potential ban of artificial surfaces in the Scottish Premiership
Dear NAME OF MSP/COUNCILLOR,
Purpose of writing
I am writing to raise concerns about the potential ban of artificial surfaces in the Scottish Premiership. There is a proposed vote taking place in the coming weeks. This vote will only be open to current Premiership clubs with the vote being for a blanket ban of artificial surfaces from season 2026/27.
Facts of the case
I would like to draw your attention to this joint statement provided by several clubs who presently have artificial surfaces (Raith Rovers, Falkirk, Queen of the South and Hamilton Academical), and especially to the detailed position paper which sets out a series of arguments and recommendations to allow artificial surfaces to continue to be used. The joint statement is here: https://www.raithrovers.net/artificial-pitch-statement; the consultation paper is here (created by the four aforementioned clubs alongside Airdrieonians and Cove Rangers): https://online.publuu.com/516411/1157872
Key points: Artificial surfaces are permitted at the very pinnacle of the game, being used in Champions League fixtures. There is therefore no good argument for banning them with regards to quality. Banning artificial surfaces would have a deleterious effect on sporting integrity and, most importantly, have a devastating impact on various clubs’ capacity to act as a sustainable community hub, providing a basis for boys, girls and women’s football to thrive.
Request
I would like to request:
a) Public support of the consultation paper and to advocate that a ban on artificial pitches should not be permitted.
b) That this issue is raised with appropriate senior ministers with the request to support the consultation paper and to advocate that a ban on artificial pitches should not be permitted.
c) Raising the issue directly with the SPFL, the Scottish football governing body, to advocate that the consultation paper’s recommendations be accepted and a ban on artificial pitches should not be permitted.
Yours Sincerely,
YOUR FULL NAME:
YOUR HOME ADDRESS:
Find your MSP here: https://www.parliament.scot/msps; find your local councillor here: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
For Rovers fans in Kirkcaldy I recommend contacting a) David Torrance, MSP for Kirkcaldy here: David.Torrance.msp@parliament.scot and b) Cllr. David Ross, who is leader of Fife Council and represents Kirkcaldy North, here: cllr.david.ross@fife.gov.uk For Rovers fans, here is the link to Fife councillors: https://www.fife.gov.uk/kb/docs/articles/about-your-council2/politicians-and-committees/your-local-councillors/councillor;
Any suggestions for where an expat could send it please?

I think the sales of the invincibles merchandise will be massive. As this is a once in a lifetime achievement, I think most folk would be wise to buy at least 2 of everything, one item that you maybe use and another that you keep pristine or framed etc., family heirlooms. Don't laugh, I seriously believe that.

If we ever somehow manage to get into the Premiership, even if it means that we have had to rip up our pitch and installed a grass one to get there, the first thing that we should do as a member of the "elite" is to call for a vote to scrap all of this protectionist crap.
We must always be on the right side of history going forward, fighting for every club.
Not so much The Invincibles but more The Incredibles!

We should turn things around.
"Commencing Scottish football league season 2025/26, all clubs being relegated from the Scottish Premiership to the Championship must have a Championship League compliant plastic pitch or they will not be accepted".
If they can have their own wee set of rules, so can we.
F*ck 'em.
