  1. Just watched the documentary about Jlloyd Samuel, whilst it's obviously tragic a young father dying in his early 30's, as an individual he came across as typical of the post millennium football player, too much money for far few brain cells, he basically gambled, drank and shagged it all away with a 'wife' in Dubai his wife in the UK knew hee haw about, notice little mention of him being double the drink drive limit at the time of his fatal crash, a crash that happened at 9am after dropping his children at school, anyone driving their kids in a car whilst still pissed from the night before is a complete moron.

One final point, his widow (UK version) welling up in front of the camera telling how they had to struggle by on just 15k a week when he was at Bolton and, after all his gambling they struggled to keep up the finance on their luxury cars and the electricity and upkeep of their swimming pool which cost nearly 2 grand a month in maintenance and running costs.....!!    Does she not have a semblance of perspective and self awareness? Fucking self entitled idiot.

Ah, fair enough. Just hadn't noticed anything about him signing on anywhere. Do you think he'll move to a league 1 club or hang about in league 2?

I'd have thought League 2 but seeing Cammy Clark (Dumbarton) and Kyle Banner (Stenhousmuir) have remained in League 1, albeit joining the two promoted clubs despite frankly being found well short at that level last season is something of surprise to say the least so anything is possible in all honesty when you consider that.

Would imagine he'll end up at a Clyde/Peterhead/Spartans as this is his level to be fair.

  3. Does anyone have a link as to the odds for individual constituencies or polls for them, genuinely curious as to whether Labour or the SNP are best placed to beat the Tories in the constituencies in my area.

  4. Johan Cruyff strolling out at Wembley resembling Peter Sellars ɓefore his Barcelona side beat Sampdoria 1-0 with a blaster of a freebkick late on from Ronald Koeman in 1992, this was, incredibly the first time the Catalan giants won the European Cup, the last year of the old format before it became The Champions League and we were introduced to Zadok the priest.

  5. She was introduced to the players outside the dressing rooms pre match as the SFA knew she would be booed vociferously by the crowd had this been done pitch side just before kick off as was normal for invited guests at cup finals.

Mick McCarthy, son of a striking miner from the 84 strike (like myself) refused to shake her hand, much respect to the big man.

Still can't get my head round why both the SFA and the Tories, not to mention Thatcher herself thought her attendance here would be great PR.

  6. Billy McNeil and Jim McLean being interviewed before the 1988 Scottish Cup final on this date, Celtic beating Dundee United 2-1 thanks to a late double from Frank McAvennie after Kevin Gallagher put Utd in front, spookily similar to the final between the two sides three years earlier when Dundee United also took the lead early in the second half only for Celtic to score twice in the last quarter of an hour.

  7. In all seriousness that's absolutely pish that the Kilmarnock fans aren't allowed their tifo, although it's a tad unfair to blame Celtic, clearly the club and police have come up with some fucking nonsense reason for this?

Regardless of the opposition its Kilmarnock's ground and their fans should be entitled to have a tifo display ar their last game of a hugely successful season, I'm making an out the box suggestion here but is it perhaps because the police suspect, with Celtic needing a point to clinch the league that there will be Celtic fans in the home sections (let's be honest there will likely be a few dotted around Rugby Park) and this could cause tension when a tifo display is going on?

As for the match, Rugby Park has seen our two worst domestic performances of the year by some distance so it would be somewhat fitting to put those results in the 'spam folder' and put on a performance fitting to clinch a title.

  8. As mentioned a page or two back the quality of the pictures and lay out of stickers is horrendous, particularly for England and France, as is the ridiculous non numbering of the stickers not to mention umpteen pages for teams who were in the play offs and didn't qualify.

Hopefully Panini will be back in the game next major tournament because this effort is absolutely pish, zero literature or wee bits of info and facts about teams etc too, garbage

What are they saying about this on the Daily Record hotline?

In fact, do people still genuinely call a 'hotline' or is Keith Jackson forced just to make stuff up.

Always got the feeling the people that phone or email the Daily Record hotline, regardless of club allegiance are attention seeking morons with the IQ of a toilet roll.
