Don't think so, loaned 3 out, dropped the keeper and benched others whilst spending the increased budget on "better quality players" (from lower leagues).
Don’t think that Ferguson is the kind of guy to learn about all the qualities he had available to him in the retained squad.
Saying that, after watching the highlights from today we looked like we were showing more identity in our play style compared to the league cup games, different to that which we’ve shown in the recent past. Maybe Ferguson knew he would be able to implement his style quicker if he didn’t rely on the full core of the past team. Tough to have an accurate view though without seeing the full game.
Stefan Scougall looked fantastic on YouTube, as did Boyd.

Why the F*** should students get in cheaper ? we do not have an unemployed gate or a low income gate or a ispend all my money on beer gate either .

Is Ben Gordon still a free agent? Know he wasn't great for us when he came from st Mirren last season but we need another centre half

Don't agree with Martin being the messiah and agree that he shouldn't be starting yet, but cook has been absolutely gash

Thanks for the nomination as worst poster on pie and bovril, it's an honour

Would've got more entertainment from throwing £16 down at the bus station and watching all the junkies fight each other for it. On top of everything already said the team looked like they hadn't even met each other before at times. Concerning stuff even this early on.

Live stream service great idea, and heard good reviews from all the armchair fans

Big 23 had no end product, every ball was poor. 20 impressed me on the ball, as well as 16. Big 22 Homand should be given a ten year contract. Malcolm worked hard but think we could do with a bit more pace in the attack. Will have to see how things are when we start competitive action. Albion really poor, special mention to the keeper.

Do all the colts teams play in their club's stadiums?

His record since he dropped himself is 50%: P20 W10 D5 L5 (including the 4 playoff games)
Not bad for a first shot at managing, I would say.
Maybe not but it's irrelevant whether or not it's his first time managing. If he can do the job then I'm happy. Now I'm just waiting to see how the start of the season goes.0 -
Kris Renton anyone?

Not sure what Black can offer us. Can't bear the thought of looking at him every week either.

Barry Smith may look good now but he'll run out of ideas quickly

Just seen Ian Black in the KFC next to the ground. [emoji848]

Getting into the championship
we should be aspiring to the likes of Dumbarton.
I was only having a laugh about league one, I firmly believe we should be an established championship side. There's enough money in the club for it, good enough support, everything is in place for it. Look at where we were under Hartley, another couple of seasons with him and we would've been on away trips to Barcelona and the like.0 -
That's right, Craig. That's why he picked the same formation and (pretty much) players who beat Brechin the last time we were up there.
Wasn't convinced by that performance, think it was the spirit of the players that got the win, particularly Andy Graham.0 -
you aught to tell him your opinion!
Craig ..so negative !
Didn't mean to be negative, just trying to see the funny side. Who could blame him for loving league one, we win games, instead of being pumped every week in the championship. Jim Goodwin, he's only looking out for your Saturday afternoons [emoji6]0 -
It wasn't inexplicable. It was pretty obvious why he did it.
He obviously just wanted to give Brechin a chance, make the home tie exciting for the telly. Or he just loves league one.0 -
Let's hope Cook isn't another Stefan McCluskey

Who would you prefer, Sparky or Meggatt? Purely hypothetical, would be lucky to have either of them.

To think you used to get slated for making negative comments about Goodwin and Jammer

Kirky away to St Mirren. My squad is getting thinner by the day
Oh dear, let's hope Ronaldo is one of Goody's signings0 -

Goodwin said in Advertiser today that the club are going to speak to Dylan over a possible permanent deal. Announcements expected middle of next week he also said.Hopefully he will continue to develop next year with us then. Goodwin seems to be keen on him and he fits the system he's been using.

Surely a key opportunity here for the club to really establish itself (and Scottish football) on the international stage? Looking forward to seeing Barry’s Boys on the Japanese lower leagues pre-season tour next year!
