Don’t think that Ferguson is the kind of guy to learn about all the qualities he had available to him in the retained squad. Saying that, after watching the highlights from today we looked like we were showing more identity in our play style compared to the league cup games, different to that which we’ve shown in the recent past. Maybe Ferguson knew he would be able to implement his style quicker if he didn’t rely on the full core of the past team. Tough to have an accurate view though without seeing the full game. Stefan Scougall looked fantastic on YouTube, as did Boyd.

Big 23 had no end product, every ball was poor. 20 impressed me on the ball, as well as 16. Big 22 Homand should be given a ten year contract. I was only having a laugh about league one, I firmly believe we should be an established championship side. There's enough money in the club for it, good enough support, everything is in place for it. Look at where we were under Hartley, another couple of seasons with him and we would've been on away trips to Barcelona and the like.

Wasn't convinced by that performance, think it was the spirit of the players that got the win, particularly Andy Graham.
