Good idea, but how do you identify them?

Well I would think that if there is an EGM that the people that attend will surely have the best interest of the club, there’s no way to make any personal gain financially or any other way at this level of football, if steps have been made to make the club fan run how does that look, Mr HIll I believe has taken this on and in turn he needs to pass how this looks on to the fans, clarity is what is required.

Hats off to John and everything he has done for the club over the years but all good things come to an end. Now is the end for John after appointing Frank as the main man ( @GIRUU) yes I understand things have to change to make the club sustainable but there is being sustainable and running a shit show with a guy that has not got a football brain in the slightest

I don’t believe that GIRUU is Frank Hill but the club needs to come out and say who is going to be running it in 4 weeks time. Gall is going , Hill says he’s not taking it on, I’d imagine the rest of the executive committee who are all pretty much John’s pals will leave as well and I’ve heard that a couple of the non exec guys are leaving as well, there needs to be an EGM called so that everyone with the club at heart can have there say and not just an AGM which is a closed shop to season ticket holders.

What’s going on with the pitch? Looked extremely heavy yesterday and quite patchy.

    great game mind.

The pitch is goosed, stopped using the ground care company I presume due to cost, I believe they were spiking the park in a regular basis which kept the drainage ok, the part where it is causing problems is the same but it always did, the difference is before the pitch was re-done then the water would have a wee slope to run down into the corner, now because the pitch is relatively flat it just lies there.

  4. Doesn’t matter where on the fence the Darvel support sit but this looks like a terrible decision, I’ve heard from someone at the ground just now saying Winters may stay and that the players are on board, as long as the players are getting paid I don’t suppose it will matter to them who coaches.

Darvel will probably win the SJC and obviously won the west today but they wont be doing that next season but Talbot will , and it would be interesting to know how many Darvel fans were at Broadwood today?

    4-500 from Darvel

  6. For me Darvel controlled the game till the Talbot goal and then hung on for the rest of the game, for the village it’s a great achievement, I’m home telling my two boys about the last Junior Cup Final we were in and how proud their grandpa would be about getting to the final, great to see some old Darvel players there tonight that I’ve not seen for twenty plus years, thats what this cup means to traditional Junior teams.

I’m just not prepared to argue about it anymore. I wouldn’t say unfounded but I also can’t say founded. I don’t know and that’s the honest answer. In the same way you don’t know.

The non sharing of gate money has been going on since my dad was the treasurer of the club back in the early 80’s, it used to be very prevalent especially when the the smaller Ayrshire teams travelled to Glasgow in the Scottish or the West, you basically got what you got and if you didn’t like it tough.

If Tony does go, I hope it is his own decision based on what it has cost previous teams to get rid of him.

I am not Tony's biggest fan, that said I think he has done some job under the circumstances, I won't critisise him for that. I actually think we are a better watch this season and players seem more club focused that they have the past couple of seasons.

I would agree with you that the style of play this year has been an easier watch with the ball getting into forward areas quicker, Micks philosophy is great but at times the ball is passed to death, don’t get me wrong it’s great to watch when there is an end product but I’ve been used to “ Junior “ football and it’s all about getting the ball forward. Talbot are the masters at it.

Support us through the season we don't get 5% of what turned out v Aberdeen at our games (150), if you can't be there all season or most games why turn up because we are getting to a final!

That’s up to the club to encourage folk to go, it’s not up to fellow supporters to discourage, I don’t go to any away games and I’m probably only at half the home games, can I come to the talbot games?

Wouldn't mind seeing a replay of the equaliser never had best view so couldn't comment. Overall draw probably fair result. Don't know if I view it as point gained or 2 dropped. Still maintain New Tinto is a terrible park.

Still in the running with league Clydebank still to play us and also play St Cadocs twice. I wouldn't rule us out either. Talbot either for that matter.

On another point I really hope the so called "fans" that never venture out to games don't all turn up to the semi finals as "Big Darvel" fans.

Home crowd very poor we never had many numbers either think more Clydebank fans there than both teams combined. Don't turn up to support us in big show case games if you can't turn up majority of weeks. Seen more fans at boys club level than what was there yesterday.

So you don’t want the people from the village to go and watch the team? Are you for real?

Crazy if that is the case

The second leg doon the brae will be a sell-out if the first leg is close, Friday night fitba is great although it will be hard to beat the atmosphere I remember as an 11. And 12 year old at Love Street and Brockville in the 80’s midweek.

Can't see past us for the cup now and I am sure they'll be an added incentive added for the players as a going away present from JG.

so NOW you want JG to dig into his pockets when all you’ve done is slate him for doing exactly that!

I wasn’t going to comment anymore as your 💩 is just bitterness but that just shows you can change like the wind if it suits your agenda.

You don’t know anything about committees of old, you hate the current committee, but you know the detailed finances of the club and wages of players. . . .

I’m now thinking if you are looking for a golden goodbye from JG, does that mean that you may actually be one of those that would benefit financially??? 🤔🤔🤔

I can’t see anyone benefitting financially when John goes.
