If you can't find the info online, your local library might have the relevant volume of the Rothman's/Sky Sports annual (can't remember what it was called then) which should have the details. My collection doesn't go back that far, so can't help. -

Yes. Former Alloa defender, most recently with Morton but released at the end of last season. Would be a great signing if he is headed to Dumfries, but would love to see him back at the Recs. -

Away to Clyde on 30th June has already been announced on the club website. Would expect two or three more before the first League Cup game. -

Erm... sorry about that. We like playing at Hampden. I for one hope you get to stay there. -

Central London. Am running the marathon that day, but should be finished in time for the kickoff. With the marathon crowds I don't think anywhere will be particularly quiet though. -

As it happens I'll be away that weekend, so would have missed it anyway. Do you think I'll find anywhere in London showing the game? -

Two games for a straight red. Yes, I agree about Flannigan. If he started instead of Crossan, PJ could come on and do some damage against tired defenders. I've not actually seen Smith play yet, as the only home game he's featured in was the Forfar game which I missed. -

Yes, he was suspended for two games, which were Stranraer on the 24/2, and Tuesday's game. Assume he'll be on the bench for Saturday's game, as not sure who would be dropped for him. Crossan maybe, but I don't think Goody will drop PJ. -

I would have agreed with you regarding Parry earlier in the season, but he has certainly improved a lot in the last couple of months, maybe not to last year's level, but a keeper I would want in my team. Besides which, the only other goalkeeper we have is Andrew Wilson, who looks good the few times I've seen him, but I'm not sure we want to trust someone with his lack of experience. -

So do I, but who do you drop when he is fit? McCart presumably, but it seems a bit harsh on Jamie to be brought in for just a few games then dropped. This is assuming that Meggatt gets back to fitness this month, which I think is likely. -

Adam Martin should be playing for the first team, but he's not, so it makes sense to send him out to somewhere he will. -

The whole thing seems rather poorly thought out. The safeguards outlined, to protect League Two clubs, are necessary, but are also so onerous, that many SPL clubs would be unable to take part. I doubt, for instance, that either of Ross County or Hamilton, who came first and second in the development league last season, would be able to afford to commit. Also, the stated aim at the start of the document, is to increase the number of promising youngsters playing first team football. But the proposal will almost certainly have the opposite effect. Would players such as Jamie McCart or PJ Crossan have been able to play for Alloa if Celtic had had a B team in League Two? The effects go further than the loan system, as it is doubtful players like Calum Waters would have been released by Celtic last year if they were playing in the reserve team. A further point of interest for Alloa fans. I notice Chris McCart is the person at Celtic charged with selling this to the League Two clubs. Does he really think players like his son will be better served by playing in a reserve team in League Two, rather than playing in the Championship or League One on loan to St Mirren earlier in the season and Alloa now? Jamie was playing in the Celtic U20 team that lost to Annan earlier in the season. Incidentally, Annan have issued a statement saying they are not behind the proposal at present: https://www.annanathleticfc.com/colt-teams-in-division-2/ No doubt a visit from Chris McCart is on the cards to persuade them to change their mind. -

This is great news, particularly if Crane is to be out for a while (don't know how serious his injury was last week) and Meggatt still a way off returning. -

Are the sponsorless shirts available to buy? I quite like the old school feel, and would gladly buy one to support the club. Although I do hope we find a sponsor soon. We must be the only SPFL team not to have a shirt sponsor. Sad to see McDowell go, but if he can find regular first team football, then great for him. Can't imagine he would have left without something lined up, as surely it's better to be on the bench with a chance of playing if Parry gets injured than not playing at all. -

Glad to see Crane on the scoresheet. I only saw him against Raith, but sounds like he's been a great addition to the back four in the three games he's played. -

Excellent news about Callum Crane. Will we see him in action tomorrow? Hetherington is only really useful as cover at left-back, IMO, and we need him in midfield anyway. Echo Waspie's comments about Scott Hynd. Hope he does really well at Sauchie. -

Ross county missed a load of chances in the first half and we were lucky to go in only 1-0 down. We did wake up in the second half, and had most of the chances. Craig Malcom was stretchered off early in the second half. Hopefully his injury is not too serious. -

Yes, next week is where we see if it all comes together or falls apart. Who's all coming to Dingwall? I'm hoping we'll give Ross County a nice surprise. -

I wouldn't discount Ayr or Raith so quickly. Barry Smith may not be Paul Hartley or Jack Ross, but he's certainly better than any other manager we've had in recent years. And the two strikers he's signed were the two best strikers in the division last year by a country mile, so their defence will have to leak a ton of goals every match to neutralise that advantage. As for Ayr, they're still a strong team, in my opinion far better than last year's Airdrie. Airdrie may be full time, but are basically just a bunch of kids, and will probably struggle to make the playoffs. -

Provided he's a bit more disciplined, I would agree. But I'm not sure we need another attacking midfielder -

I thought yesterday's game was quite poor, though entertaining at times, and some flashes of brilliance from individual players, especially in the second half. Of the trialists I thought Hopkins 16 and Homand 22 were the most impressive. Hopkins was full of energy, and always wanted the ball. He needs to learn more discernment otherwise he'll tire himself out over 90 minutes, but I loved his enthusiasm. As for Homand, he was always a handful for the Albion attack, but I'm not sure how he would cope with the higher standard of league one. Definitely worth adding to the lineup for an extra option at centre half.
