  1. Some news about the League cup. It has now recieved a new sponser taking over from Betfred. The new sponsers are the Broadcasting Group Premier Sports who already has the broadcasting rights to the league cup last season. This Sponsorship is due to last for 5 years, starting from the 2021/2022 season until the 2026/2027 season. This includes the exclusive broadcasting rights for the competition in the UK. I wonder how everyone feels about this? Its not a betting company, so theres that. I just dont really like Premier Sports as a company. Hopefully there will be more money put ibto the conpetition as well. With St Johnstone's success this season it really makes me hope that next seasons Motherwell squad will be able to achieve similar results. Source btw: https://spfl.co.uk/news/premier-sports-becomes-league-cup-title-sponsor
  2. Starting this thread as I might as well. Both teams punted out the cup on Penalties. We (Motherwell) don't have much to play for apart from winning the best of the bottom. Kilmarnock are still fighting for survival and it doesn't look too good with Lafferty Injured along side Kabamba. Don't know if either of those 2 will be fit for the game. Anyway, game kicks off at 3pm on Saturday 1st May. PPV tickets can be bought at the Motherwell site for £12. Season ticket holders should go to the "live" site instead of the PPV site. PPV Site: https://ppv.motherwellfc.co.uk/ In any case, with Watt back and the lack of Lafferty and Kabamba for Killie (potentailly) I am feeling slightly more confident in a win. I would say 1-0 Well. If Lafferty is somehow fit for the game then I would easily reverse that scoreline.
  3. Yeah, I believe it was mentioned earlier this season that they moved them either to the Copper or O'Donnell stand as they were removing the Hunter Stand seats. They did state that they would give the cut outs to the fans after the end of the season so I wonder how that's going to work out?
  4. With the Rangers result, I'm even more gutted. A final without either old firm and we have been knocked out on penalties :(. I know we have been terrible this season but there was always that little bit of hope. the next time we make a final I bet it will be it will be against one of the old firm. Even if the next final is decades away.
  5. "We done Well" "Oh, so you made it through?" "No. We done Well. Which means being shite for 80 minutes, giving some hope before eventually losing."
  6. If the team from the first 80 went out 2-0, i wouldnt have much cared but the team after that gave me hope. Thats what hurt a bit more. Anyway, as other well fans have said, most of the Team can GTF (besides a few like kelly, watt, cole). Looking forward to a conpletely brand new Motherwell team we vould potentially see in person. Good Luck Hibs, as you are going to need it witb performances against a terrible team like us. Nearly every team still in it are possibly miles ahead of us (expect St mirren and possibly killy without laferty).
  7. Looksblike we are attempting to go to penalties again.... thats a bit worrying.
  8. Dont worry. We will make a sub in the 85 minute to try and win this.
  9. Our plan of not defending crosses has backfired. Spectacularly.
  10. There was not enough pase on the ball so log had to effectively stop his run. Could have been a better chance if the ball was going just a bit faster.
  11. Winner of the scottish cup gets the Europa league play off round. If they lose rhat tie they go into the conference league. So yes.
  12. Hastie to come on in the second half and score the winner.
  13. Dont really eat curry that much since i cant really handle anything thats spicy/hot. But if it will get rid of the inevitable defeat tonight out of my mind then i might as well pick one up.
  14. Seems that the SPFL are continuing the Season ticket holders strea. And PPV for non TV matches. I wonder how that will affect Motherwell after the Guarentee of 19 matches. I passed on my question to the well society about donating the tickets or donating the paid season ticket money like the end of the 19/20 season. Haven't heard anything yet. The first option could allow family's to watch even if they have had a difficult time during Covid. The other could allow Motherwell to recoup an additional 20% of the season ticket money and avoid being in debt to others.
  15. Top 6 should always be the goal we apply AFTER achieveing safety. So many players seem to think we can stay up just because of previous years have faile dto look at thr likes of Hearts, Hibs, Dundee United, Hearts again, etc. They are massive clubs with great sucess but it only took one bad season to put them into trouble. Nothing should be taken for granted, absolutley nothing. I think we will be fine next season, potentailly better with the European Super League situation happening. English Football is going to be shaken up and money is definetly going to drop. I dont think the monry in the scottish game will chnage all that much but the less spotlight on the Premier league could benefit scotland in multiple ways. I think Graham will be able to sort out the squad, especially since alot of them are due to leave anyways. Lawless has been good and Roberts is definetly someone we should be looking into for another loan or free transfer. Cole i would like to sign again now he is playing in a proper postion and we have O'Donnell who maybe will be better next sesson? I cant wait to return to Hammerthrowers FC and be in the ground cheering for heavy tackles against our Oppoments.
  16. Tbf, in that same amount of time We have only had 1 Saturday Evening kick off. Which was against Hibs at Eastern Road. It ended up 0-0 so.... Penalties anyone?
  17. That does make some sense. They only got the Aberdeen fans to sign up a couple of days ago so they would still be valid to watch any quarter finals. Hibs were on BBC so fans of them will most likely not have a subscription so the overall potential would be greater than the Aberdeen game.
  18. Scottish cup fixtures confirmed. Hibernian vs Motherwell - Saturday 24th April - 5pm kick off (Premier Sports). I have seen a lot of Well fans have no idea how Premier Sports works so I have copied and pasted the explanation here. I'm still surprised They picked our game over the Aberdeen vs Dundee United fixture. Here is the full fixture list for the Quarter finals. Scottish Cup Quarter-Final Fixtures Saturday 24 April Hibernian v. Motherwell, kick-off 5pm (Live on Premier Sports) Sunday, 25 April Aberdeen v. Dundee United, kick-off 2.30pm (Live on BBC Scotland) Rangers v. St Johnstone, kick-off 6.30pm (Live on Premier Sports) Monday 26 April Kilmarnock v. St. Mirren, kick-off 7.45pm (Live on BBC Scotland)
  19. Just updated the OP with the details. Hope that helps. I bet some Well fans have a Premier Sports account after the Glentoran game (for the non season ticket holders).
  20. There is a Channel for Sky customers but there is also a online streaming version (think of the sky streaming services). For both options you will need to pay £10.99 at minimum and that locks you into a contract (6 months). Alternatively you can create a streaming account and pay the 1 off monthly fee of £12.99 !and then cancel to prevent excluding charges. think of it as a better version of the PPV site. Still shte but you get what I mean. There should also be discount offers but I can't seem to find any right now.
