If the Albert can go out and get decent players on a small budget I can’t see any reason why Larkhall can’t do the same, Jamie has done a fantastic job there on a shoestring. larkhall management have to do the same if there’s no money available. I hope they can turn it around but it’ll be a big ask now with the season up and running and players already signed up

Excellent highlights once again from Gerry

Glencairn will be favourites on sat but we’re in with a shout if we can get some of our injured players back, it should be a cracking game

Having spoken to our DJ he informed me the songs in question were the following
Whisky in the jar
The lonesome boatman
The fields of Athenry
Viva la Quinta Brigrada
So tbh if anyone finds them songs offensive or sectarian then it says more about there mindset than ours .
Neither is the Penny Arcade the Roy Orbison hit but I bet if you played that at your next home game your fans wouldn’t like it.
You’ll always get folk that take a tune out of context for what it is, and mostly it’s down to ignorance

When your one nil up take any of the Chance's you create then its not going to be a 3-3 it was a good derby whitburn came from behind fauldhouse came from behind twice good commitment from both teams but you'll know better when you weren't even at the game
You no a burnie fan now [emoji848]0 -
Cumbernauld 1-1 neilston
great away point for the farmers with a depleted squad
1st half ... was fairly even with both teams having chances
2nd half Cumbernauld had most of the. Ball but couldn’t break the farmers down with us battling superb
cunbernauld were decent side and were great at knocking ball around but for me they need to be wee bit more direct at times and a think it cost them today ... I’m all for nice fitba but the side wards passes bores life out me lol
I agree it was pretty even for the first 30mins but once we scored it was pretty much all Cumbernauld, we actually played the last 17 mins of the game with 10 men on the park and one of them Stefan Law was injured too and unable to do much. I’m delighted with the way we’ve started this season, and we’ve our top goalscorer still to come back from Injury too, so given the injuries we have just now within the squad it all bodes well for the rest of the season when the managers a full squad to pick from. All the best to Neilston for the rest of the season

Quite simple really, they’ve made some quality signings to join an already good squad, plus I don’t think the standard will be as high as it was last season with the clubs that were promoted. I do agree that we blew an excellent opportunity last seasonYous and glencairn blew an opportunity last season. A possible 6 teams had chance to get promoted and neither of you could go up. So why would glencairn be favourites for the league?0 -
I'd Rutherglen Glencairn running away with the league. A few hours later i realised they hadn't made it out of the League Cup section.
Oops.
They dropped the majority of their team tonight so don’t read too much into that result1 -
I’ll be very surprised if Glencairn aren’t odds on for the league

Your words.
Nobody at our end is or will be saying anything of the sort.
Go on, I dare you Peter [emoji6]1 -
Easily avoided. There were two, now there is one.
When did you conduct the poll BTW?
Why are you even back on here, should you not be away boring the east league with your drivel0 -
Maybe it’s because the majority of junior fans are sick to death with all the threads on the same topic

I can't wait for the league games to start so we can get away from all the petty pre-season points scoring by fans of certain clubs on this thread.
It has to be the Ayrshire water Peter, they’re all mad1 -
Players wages will always be over exaggerated especially by the players themselves, it no ones business what a club pays out, if they can afford it good luck to them.

An utterly embarrassing result for a decent junior side.
Any scorers or a report from this game?
I’m away on holiday so there’s no match report0 -

watch out other championship teams Cumbernauld Utd have come out of the traps flying losing 7-0 to Colville Park today.........could be another season of throwing points away early if this is anything to go bye ...friendly or or first game no excuses shameful result in anyone terms
This result means nothing, no league title was won by a friendly victory so neither will it be lost by a friendly defeat, yesterday’s match was about game time for the players.
I’m very confident that we’ll be promoted this season and see yesterday’s result as nothing more than a blip.

That's a bit more like it. [emoji846]
Certainties for the league now then [emoji6]0 -
Surprised no one has mentioned Arthurlie. I hope the regain some past glories and get up there again. Rx
I can’t see Arthurlie being anywhere near the top end of the table0 -
That would be nice, but extremely unlikely.
You get back on the ship [emoji6]0 -
Can’t wait for this league to start this season , I expect glencairn to romp it and Cumbernauld, Rossvale and whitletts to be fighting out the promotion spots , if we can consolidate and finish 5th or 6th it would be fantastic
Is that Darvel consolidating two years in a row then DL, surely you’ve got to be thinking of promotion, you were in the other league a year. This league won’t be the same standard as last season

I don’t see Rossvale being in the top 3

It’s certainly a worthwhile cause, well done Gartcairn

There was no guarantee that he would score, his freekick just before halftime half was wide of the left hand post
McCabe did the right thing in my opinion, not that you’ll agree Peter [emoji6]
