Burgh doing well with their new management team and ending the season well
momentum’s a big thing at this time of the season0 -
Burgh 2 up at Thorniewood. Second goal is a worldy by Blair Rossiter, right in the top corner. Game is being filmed so I’d imagine there will be footage of it at some point

Don't discount the Drum, or Glens their last three games are at home, win them and they could go up
im assuming the Drum go ahead and win the league leaving the other three possibly all on 59 points, with my calculation/prediction being draws for Burgh and Shotts away to Glencairn0 -
Big win for Johnstone Burgh tonight. Looking at the remaining fixtures I think it’s a possibility that Johnstone Burgh, Shotts and Ashfield might all finish on 59 points

How does relegation work from the LL? I assumed Edinburgh Uni were down to be replaced by winner of the west/east/south playoffs but Gretna still may go down?
edit: just seen it depends on Buckie winning promotion

Cambuslang really are a shadow of their former self, sad to see & was in the paper they are skint. Most clubs survive via sponsorship, club lottery, events & the likes so why can't Cambuslang be some what self sustainable?
unfortunately it seems to be very much a one man show, and I don’t know how keen people are to go and work with them while it remains so. There used to be a really good group of people behind the scenes there but they are all away now for various reasons.i live pretty close to Somervell and they put a post out at the start of the season on social media looking for helpers on match days. I replied saying I could help some weeks, got a response asking for my number then never heard anything back.
took in the game last night there was a decent crowd for a very wet and cold night but JBFC were well worth their win

While I doubt it was intended as anything more than a deeply pathetic wee stunt for the benefit of halfwits, I'm guessing that even you as an apologist for it can see how it could prove to be problematic if they also want to project an image of being an inclusive community club.
Normal people will shop around for a less dysfunctional-looking setup to send their weans into. That's not anything like "equally petty", it's just due diligence.
Like I said I can see the connotations and JBFC should have put a bit more thought into how it might be received.
I honestly don’t think they’ve demonstrated anything which suggests they aren’t an inclusive club or dysfunctional. I think to suggest that based on a player announcement is a bit of a leap to make.

Wow.
do you honestly think by JBFC announcing on that date they are endorsing some kind of anti catholic sentiment or message?0 -

A bit crass and petty eh?
Big team found.
yeh I won’t hide the fact that I support Rangers but I would say the same if hypothetically the shoe was on the other foot. It’s a lot of manufactured fuss about something which isn’t really that important. In my opinion of course-1 -

it didn't send a very inclusive message out did it? Who wants to send their wean under the care of the sort of folk who think that stunt was a good plan apart from other plankton?
like I said, it was crass and not very well thought out, but I don’t think it really sends out any particular message about inclusiveness, it’s not like there is any anti catholic sentiment attached to it. If people want to be offended or outraged by it that’s up to them but I think it’s a bit of an overreaction-1 -
The Lafferty thing if it was intentional is a bit crass and petty but for people to be ‘done with’ a club or refusing to let their kids join a youth set up because of it is equally petty

I wonder who’ll take the team on Wednesday?
wouldn’t be surprised if someone like Dorrans took the team on Wednesday. Obviously has a lot of experience of the game at a higher level1 -

My local side Cambuslang beat again. Surely they are destined for the drop now? A shadow of their former selfs 5 years ago on the park unfortunately. Is the manager untouchable?
seems to be the Paul McColl show unfortunately. Used to be a lot of good people behind the scenes but they are all away now and it’s just him running the show so it seems.but they are on a downward spiral

Jamie McKim sacked by Johnstone Burgh. Will be interesting to see what kind of profile their replacement has

For me Burgh looked like a bunch of individuals put together wearing the same strips. There was no fluency or cohesion in their play.
the only other time I’ve seen them this season was when they played at Cambuslang and they were a lot better that day although it took a bit of a late show to secure the win

Went and watched Johnstone Burgh against Glencairn, thought it was a really poor game unfortunately.

There has been a pretty big turnover of players at Johnstone Burgh which is never ideal for keeping a settled team. That and they no doubt have painted a target on their backs.
They should still get promotion and winning the league is more than achievable

Was there a decent crowd at the game with it being a derby?

Sorry can’t help with the above question but is there something in the water down at Somervell just now? Going from cambuslangs Facebook page a good few of their squad have went on the transfer list over the weekend.
I know they haven’t had a great start to the season but still a bit surprising to see so many being made available at the one time

Any idea what the crowd was for the final against Bonnyrigg?
0 -
Does Bonnyriggs ground have any seats? Played against them must have been about 10 years ago at their place and don’t remember them having any.
if not, are there plans to install any if promotion is sealed?

What about the other four that have found their way to Clydebank?
Really can’t believe we now have ( and probably more to come ) 5 out of 6 new arrivals coming from Rossvale. We’ll be getting called Rossbank or Clydevale if this goes on.
Jeeze, talk about an old pals act. I don’t know the lads( hopefully they can add some quality.
But I still find it disappointing that we need to go to one club for 5 players.
Not unusual for a manager to sign players he has worked with and had success with previously

One win out of three for Johnstone Burgh will see them promoted. A couple of weeks ago their season really looked like it was unravelling.
good win for Cambuslang aswell today at the other end to give themselves a chance
