I thought that as well to be honest - he stopped it being 3 or 4 and it wasn't his fault at the goal either - that on either the player losing the header, the set up with none on the post orcGinn being brushed aside and not running to the back post with Miovski. Bemused by the comment on the match thread from @Phillips455 that that was one of Kelly's worst games.

We'll win next week and so long as both County and St J don't do likewise that's that.

Kelly played pretty well today tbf, he can certainly feel the loss of the clean sheet this time is on someone else's account.

Wouldn't bet on " we'll win next week".

Was at Livi/ RC game today and Livi showed  great desire and no little ability in winning 2-0.

They will feel they can win against a Motherwell team with little to play for and hope County and SJ lose again.

As for County!!! After beating Rangers they were unbelievably brutal. Offered nothing.

Most Livi fans of view that Obilye is coming to us. I hope not as he is pretty substandard.

  2. Have always been the split bus.

Being somewhat advanced in years I remember the pre 1975 years when clubs like Motherwell were often by this time in the season left marooned in mid table ( often out the cup) and with little to play for.

This reflected itself in attendance's which barely got above 2,000. I remember a game against Arbroath with a crowd approx 1800.

Compare  with this Saturday where a crowd of over 6,000 is likely.

I hope Davor plays on Saturday. He was howling last night, but everyone has a shocker sometimes. Spittal doesn’t half get right on his case sometimes.

I very much enjoyed SOD misplacing a pass in the second half and the folk round me absolutely losing their shit despite the fact he had just laid on the equaliser.

Also, my haggis pie was magic.

Never ceases to amaze me how fans can see performances differently.

For my part I watched Favor closely last night and I thought he performed well. Never hiding he was always looking for the ball and creating. His substitution I put down to tactics or picking up an injury.

Just my take on the wee man.

Is this just a suggestion or a rumour that you've heard?

Brophy was someone I thought about last night when I noticed he hadn't made it off the bench for County. A quick look at Transfermarkt shows he's only made it off the bench twice (combined total of about 40mins) for them since early November.

He's not a player I'm that fond of, mainly due to his tendency to take absolutely wild shots from distance and never score, but I guess in terms of playing style - mobile, strong runner, fairly quick - he's like a Aldi version of Biereth...maybe?

I think I'm getting desperate when I'm considering a guy that can't get a game for Ross County might not be a terrible option. I suppose it'd have to be a permanent deal though with us having Halliday and Montgomery (at the moment) on loan from other Premiership clubs.

From a reliable source Brophy is certainly being considered.

Of course there is a yawning chasm between consideration and making a move.

  5. Such is the apocalyptic backdrop being portrayed for this match that on walking up pre match to FP tomorrow I fully expect 2 sets of gallows being erected reflecting the dimensions of both managers

Which one is used is anybody's guess. But for sure the gallows assemblers will be easily picked out in so far as they will be moon howling, pitchfork wielding slabbering hordes.

Will be almost worth buying the popcorn beforehand!!!

  6. Re SK and the debate over his future.

Add to the mix that as SK has already indicated that he has been speaking to one or two possible January recruits , this raises the likelihood that these 2 wouldn't likely join if SK's future was in question.

With this in mind , secondly our already depleted small squad and the rapidly diminishing time a new guy would have to use the transfer window , I feel that unless we sink like a stone in the next 4 games SK will be around until the end of January.

BUT if the Alloa cup tie goes the same way as Albion Rovers some years back........!!
