  1. The match reminded me of well attended bounce game where Falkirk fielded a team of trialists, should he stay or should he go ? Dunno if he went just now the new guy would be left with the same lot as there can't be very much money in the kitty,,,,,,,,,,,but of course the new guy could start playing them in the right positions, string 7 along the eighteen yard line if that's what it takes for a few games and once the confidence returns as we won't ship goals, then start a more attacking formation, you can see the heads going down and the stray passes starting the more the play breaks down due to baffling tactics.
  2. Was it just me or was it the 65th min til we had any kind of shot on the goal, no shots either wide or over the bar until that 65 mark, and that was straight at the keeper,,,,,,powder puff up front and too many stray passes, looked to me as if Saints did just enough,,,,,,we desperately need a big target man to hold the ball up and others to play off him, playing the way we do and the heads will go down, not long til the season will be upon us and a good few of the other teams have been looking good so far, fear we will get a right royal pumping if the team don't improve by a good margin.
  3. Well the eyeball chuckers have got what they wanted,,,,,,,,attention, they don't go to watch football, do they ?,,, nope, they go for a carry on and this latest wheeze has played right into their barrow, headlines, nationwide condemnation etc etc and as such they don't have FFC's best interests at heart so the term " Falkirk fans " cannot be applied, rather they were local dicks who happened to attend a football match with the specific intention to cause bother just as a minority attend demonstrations intent on trouble. Of course it doesn't help when our players engaged in the baiting which served as a catalyst for it, they should know better, any hoo it's a distraction we can do with out, how many games should PH now have before he gets punted, six ? twelve ? or give him to the end of the season to see if we can avoid relegation/ play offs, we are fast approaching the tipping point where a purple patch second half of the season would have us in contention for promotion.
  4. What's happened to Sibbald, is he injured or does PH just not fancy him, I know he signed up again, if he's fit it's a helluva waste of money him sitting on his arse.
  5. Talking about worst squad of players reminds me of the time myself and workmate were at work, I was reading the paper and said to him, " guess who Fawkirk have signed last night ? " the richter grin on my face must have spoke volumes,,,,,,,, " Naw ! naw ! no fuckin way ! it's no Joe Torto fuckin Lanno ? ". He got it at first attempt.
  6. Watched the game on the Teuchtar Channel, passing the ball about the defence is fine if you want to keep possesion but I thought we lacked that we bit quality up front, a target man who could at least work their goal keeper, too many shots wide of the mark, Hartley certainly has his work cut out. As to the offensive singing, can someone tell me how this Falkirk Dunfermline bile started off ?, seems to have been on the go as far back as the eighties or nineties and as I recollect mainly from a section of Falkirk fans, they used to make hissing noises with reference to Norrie McAthie's tragic death in a gas accident. Not nice boys ! Makes us look like low rent old firm fans. Can we please, please leave this insidious practice to fans of the Ugly Sisters in the west, Dunfermline, like us, are a provincial club, stuggling against financial pressures whilst no doubt watching bus loads of locals heading out to Old Firm games each week, aye have a bit banter but for f#@cks sake keep it real.
  7. Aye good they got a well needed win today, heard on the radio that Falkirk have the oldest manager in Europe, funny that, cos as I was watching Alex Smith getting the pre Morton interview I was half expecting him to say " See during the war".
  8. Well what about Jim McIntyre and Billy Dodds ?, could do a lot worse.
  9. A lot of folks are saying give it to Hartley, well aye he had a decent record at Alloa, but he had a few bob to spend, relative to the other teams in those leagues, he got the Dundee gig based on that and look how that turned out. If he came here he would get next to f**k all money and if indeed Houston lost the dressing room then he will have to deal with the overspill from that.
  10. So are we all agreed then, wait til I get a pen and a bit paper,,,,,,,,so who's got McCall's moby number ?
  11. Has anybody mentioned Ian McCall,,,,,,,,,,,,or is he a non starter.
  12. Certainly a dismal start to the season, looks like the players are struggling to get motivated, they seem to play well in spells but loose their way with catastrophic results, getting near the time for the board to take stock and make decision on whether they think Peter and his staff can fulfill the fans aspirations to at least be challenging for a promotion place or finish mid to lower table. The next couple of games will see if the tide can be turned or if Peter will either get the push or fall on his sword,,,,,,,,trying times indeed.
  13. Couldn't make the game today but in my last post I predicted we were due a pumping, unless someone with deep pockets and no sense comes forwards that means no money to bolster the squad, methinks the board will batten down the hatches for say up to six games and see if Gas Meter can sail the team into calmer waters, no point in shouting and turning on each other as it just gives the rest of the crowds on here a bit of the old shadenfreude.
  14. I know I will get pelters but it's Dunfermline next and we're due someone a right doing,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and on the other hand they are maybe due to give us a right doing after the trip/dive tripple salco full pike with half twist at East End last time. Just saying.
