I'd be pleased with a point. Hope springs eternal.
I'd also be very pleased if you get a point!

1-1 my prediction. I'll settle for a draw
Mate, what's this? We can't be settling for a draw with anybody in this league. We need to push for three points every week if we're to catch Cove.

No doubt Stirling are playing better at the moment, but don't look like scoring many.
So, Having seen both teams play recently, I reckon this will be tight, probably 1-1.

This weekend sees Edinburgh City and Cowdenbeath play at Ainslie Park.
2nd V 3rd. Both teams in decent form. Should be a christmas cracker!

As always with Cove, if you stand back and admire them and let them play then their better player will get them the three points.
If QP fire in about them though, you can win this.
Queens were decent at Hampden when beating Edinburgh a few weeks ago, so a repeat of that performance would be nice.

Stirling looked like their form was picking up there in November with good wins over Albion, Annan and at Elgin.
However the home defeat by Brechin was a surprise, but I'd still expect a very tough game here.
City are playing quite well just now, so I'd be quite hopeful of getting the three points here.
1-2 for City.

That was a great win for City, away at Annan is a tough place to go.
Well done to the boys on earning that win. We're starting to look good now and can push on from here.

To be fair Mr Glum, you were unlucky to lose and Annan are currently the form team in the division.
Keep going and the win(s) will come. Hopefully starting next weekend at Cove. Best of luck.

Toonser. What do you think will happen in the January window? Will Cove spend BIG, just to make sure of the title? Spend...just cos they can!

What's the team news from Cove? someone on another thread said they had 8 players out last weekend? Will most of those be back on Saturday?

So this weekend, we have wee run of the mill league fixture against Cove rangers.
Nohing much to see here. Probably be a boring 0-0 anyway.

Good luck with this guys!
I personally, am a lot more interested in hearing lower league news than reading the saturation coverage of the SP heLL

Tam. Any confidence for the Cove game on Saturday?
I've said on another thread the defence and goalie worry me a lot this season. What do other City fans think?

I’m interested in who are ambitious and financially strong?I'd guess Kelty herts and Bonnyrigg Rose are the two most likely.
Indeed Kelty Hearts will be a great addition to league 2 next season if they make it.

How is your injury situation looking for the game against Edinburgh?
What injury has Megginson got?
Nothing too trivial I hope.

How is your injury situation looking for the game against Edinburgh? In a prediction league at work and expecting a home win if the injuries are still bad...
Minertaur, you can't have seen Edinburgh play this season if you're EXPECTING a home win!
We've been poor almost all season, and concede far too many cheap goals.
I would expect this will be a draw which will suit Cove probably.

Every team that comes, their fans moan aboot Ainslie Park.
I really like it though, you get a great view of the match. I prefer it to a lot of the away grounds we have to visit.

First half today was as good as we've played for a long time.! Like last season's team again. 3-0 up at half time.
Second half, maybe complacency set in, but back to the utter shite we've produced on many occasions with this seasons team.
Still, at least we're thru and in the 4th round draw.
I'm praying we get a big tie with either Celtic, Rangers Hibs Herts or Aberdeen.

This weekend we have Annan at Ainslie park in the Scottish cup.
What are we thinking about this one?

A diving Edinburgh side and poor refereeing held us back
Och, Chris. That's not very sporting!
The referee was a joke for BOTH teams.
I'll be fair, and admit Rovers deserved a draw. Actually, Albion looked a decent team and could have won that game.
Easy to see why you beat Stenny last week.

When Annan came to Balmoral I thought they were poor and perhaps the worst side I’ve seen visit Cove this season.
Surely, us (Edinburgh City) on the opening day of the season must be the worst team to visit to Balmoral this season? We were a total joke that day! Forgot to get off the bus.
Annan are not great away from home right enough.
Stirling Albion playing well just now, must be aiming for the last play-off spot Binos fans?

Where are you thinking/what have you heard?
Edinburgh rugby have started work, building the "Mini Murrayfield" ground. It's to be ready for the start of next season.
Possibly, that's a good option for us, being in the city centre and close to Haymarket train station.

I was shocked to see the average attendance so far this season for Edinburgh City. Is it partly down to playing at Ainslie park?
Edinburgh City are a quality side who win games and score freely. In my eyes I thought this would attract a much larger fan base. Also it’s a populous area.
Come on fans out there, come and support the lower leagues where you are closer to the action - that’s what my marketing/PR voice would say. Plus EC are a club quite well destined to climb the leagues like Ross County or ICT before them. In 5 years could easily be a championship side.
Aye. Playing at Ainslie Park probably doesn't help but it's not the main reason.
It's always been this way in Edinburgh. The local Evening paper ONLY CARES about Herts and Hibs. It's ALL about them two.
Good smaller clubs like City, Spartans and Civil Service Strollers you wouldn't even know existed if you depended on the local news reporting anything about it.
When City move to a new ground, more central in Edinburgh, crowds might increase a wee bit.

Bit of a 6 pointer this.
Both teams are decent actually, don't think either will go down.
When you think back to last season, and the Rovers team at the beginning before Kevin Harper took over and also Berwick Rangers, both were really poor teams.
This season's not like that though, both here should be fine. At the moment Stenhoosemuir might be favourites for bottom spot.
