I really don't understand the lovein for players like Nelson? He was good in a team that was rank rotten scoring 4 goals in the process. It would have been good to get him back, don't get me wrong, but I am not overly fussed about missing out on him. Some of our support treat guys like this as legends it really puzzles me, guys like this couldn't lace Stainrod/Crunchie/Latapy's boots IMO. He has gone elsewhere so we move on reading through some of the comments on twitter is a complete riddy.

I don't think Ray is fussed which one of the two go from what I have been told as long as one of them does. Striker would be a priority for me though.

Another player to leave today apparently and I have heard at a minimum we are looking to bring another striker and GK although Ray did say 4 to come in between now and the end of Jan.

Who are the players that we have already signed? Not sure why we would get rid of Robson he has been one of the better players the last 2/3 weeks (Stenny game aside).

Mate we have been in this league 10+ years if you think that Ray is going to build a team capable of challenging for the title next season then you are off your head. He will need at least 3 transfer windows to clear out the dross and bring in his own team capable of a challenge. I will of course eat my hat if come May 2020 we are 1st Division Champions.

Edibairn has a point to a certain extent, to me Alston would walk in to the team we have just now and I would take him in a heartbeat. However there wasn't really that much of a big deal made when he left and the fact he went to St Johnston says it all. Good player with us but part of the almost club that didn't win us promotion (not solely down to Alston). Some cracking goals against Sevco to remember him by though.
