We constantly do a lot of work on not being passive with the ball and passing for passings sake and trying to be as clinical as possible when in the right areas. The lads have made a good start after a good hard pre season making sure not to get carried away so we’ll see where it takes us.

Who was the ref????

Ross is really good guy and his coaching ability is second to none. Being his assistant in my time at the club has been really good for me and him, I’m sure he’d admit that no problem As we have both learned from each other in various situations that have arose. From my experience one of the main reasons we have got together such a good and happy squad is that we make every session different and enjoyable and we make the player want to come back. People forget it’s 2019, life evolves along with the young lads so football can’t be left static. That’s the way we see it anyway lol.

Usual reply from some at thistle, missing a lot of bodies, injuries etc. Not just we were bad and we were beaten by the better side. Actually submising that with those players that were supposedly missing that they would have won the game! Heard from an on looker today that thistle huffed and puffed and looked heavy legged, unfit and some over weight. All just opinions though.

Good to get off the mark today and get the league started after a good hard pre season. Positive result away to largs at the jnr Park, well done to all who won their respective games. [emoji106]

Aw well true enough haha. Just thought coz it was the last week of pre season teams would have a good fixture arranged as their last test before the season starts. We are away to gartcosh which will be tough but one we’re really looking forward too.

Games this weekend?

We know we have a huge challenge in the first division to finish at the top end of the league with all the sides involved being of good standard and all able to beat each other so it was important for us to get stronger again still and let others be the judge.

Good good looks like most of the Ayrshire teams are having a good pre season.

How did the final of the dean tourney go,who won it?

We beat Dalziel up at Dalziel Park 2-1. Thanks to Dalziel for their hospitality afterwards,best of luck to them for the coming season.

He never actually left. He’s got a season ticket for Man Utd so my understanding is he’ll play inbetween going there. I could be wrong though.

Defo not, u need to be challenged in pre season, playing teams outwith ur association is always a good way to test the lads.
