  1. So after all the shouting, when it comes done to it we haven’t really improved at all.

Another battle to stay up, with it unlikely to result in the same outcome should we be in the play off.

Retained too many of the squad who came last, and blew the budget on a striker who got us to last the season prior.

No cup money unless we fluke it against Clyde.

Shite style of play and a manager who has now lost the plot with his selections.

Renton and Sheerin will do what they do each match but at any level you can’t have two strikers/forwards with their backs to goal for 90 minutes. Unless you have players willing to drive and take on defenders from the ball being held up by them or flick-ons it becomes easy to defend against in time. You will get joy from it occasionally but you will not win more matches than most in the league if that’s the one game plan.

Based purely on yesterday there’s quite a bit to be done before mid-table can be talked about for you in my opinion. Will be well away from relegation playoff spot at the same time.

I’m not a fan of the pairing, but in their defence it may work better at home where the pitch is tighter.

From what I seen yesterday I think your main issue is General lack of pace throughout the team. Something we suffered from for many a season recently.

The bigger park showed it up big time, which means you might pick up a decent home record, particularly of you keep up the aggressive style like yesterday ( that’s not a criticism BTW). Sheerin was just not capable of turning any possession he had as just could not cover the distance quick enough to get into threatening situations. Again might be different on smaller playing surface.

    This is a good point.

Do Cowden fans feel this season will be any better I think with Albion yous will certainly be safe but looking at your bench yesterday never seemed like anyone on it could've came on and helped get a goal back

A few thought we could challenge for top 4, but most just hope we can make 7th /8th.

It's gone a bit quiet on here over the last few days so I thought I'd get the ball rolling again with some thoughts about the weekend's game against Clyde, and what your expectations are for the opening day and score predictions...

If Martin Scott is suspended for his straight red against Hearts, and we go with Sheerin alone upfront, we will struggle away to Clyde. We should have nothing to fear against Clyde, they are hardly unbeatable, and hopefully go with the formation from the first 3 cup games.

1 upfront also means Kyle Miller comes in, and at the moment that isn’t good for the team either.

After 2 seasons bottom of this league, we really need a half decent start to build on the confidence from the cup. A few early defeats and the hard work of the summer is quickly forgotten.

How low do you want it £4 and £2?

Id say the facilities we offer and the “effective” winning team that our manager puts out most weeks for us to watch then our pricing is more than fair tbh.

I pay £12 around half a dozen times into Cowdenbeath matches a season, I paid £8 and £4 (£12) for me and my 6 year old son for the Dundee “friendly” during the week. We let in under 12s for free.

£8 to watch a league team against a premiership team.

£7 to watch a non league friendly? It’s bullshit. I don’t do friendlies and certainly not that.

to be fair, the £8 against Dundee is too high. It’s a kick about and meaningless.  Fiver tops.

anyway who cares what supporters think. Good luck with your season.

The Kelty fans are riding on a crest of a wave at the moment but it won’t last, that is a certainty.

Thread was going well until Brazilianlex  reached into his bumper book of friendly defeat excuses and come out with the standard players missing/big team no trying as hard/wee team getting over physical in the challenges.

Gogsy, its a friendly warm up game, matters as much as a 1p piece.

more concerned Kelty charging £7 for a friendly! Is that not more than their league games!

Said nobody, ever, except you you ya bawsack.
Your mob been in this league so long all morals are out the window. First rapists, what next, peedos? Laughing stock of weegieland.

Peedos sign for Edinburgh and bigots for Cowdenbeath. Morals went out the window a long time ago for most clubs at this level.

    We have plenty morals bud.

court ruled on Goodwillie and Robertson so we released Robertson.

dean Brett’s betting history became apparent, we release him too and gave him continued support for gambling.

if you refer to our chairman, that’s very old news now and since then he has taken over his tiny home town team and and gives his time, money and contacts to help the club have a golden period and now just to keep us afloat.

    thank you.
