I reckon we are about to sign David Faupala.

Turned us down in August, (So McCann has been interested) which led to us swooping for Ajls.

Done a bit more research - he's with that agency. And he left Man City in November: http://www.90min.com/posts/5774981-manchester-city-forward-david-faupala-announces-he-is-leaving-the-club-via-social-media

No idea If he's any good or not but atm I'd take him and Vaughan

Absolutely no chance of Jason Cummings, any club bar Celtic would take him on loan here.

Vaughan looks a decent prospect but he wouldn't be ready for the step up and won't solve our urgent need for a goalscorer.

Austin would be my preference out of the two of them, he seems to have had a shit season at Falkirk but that'll apply to all their players.

I still think the majority we'll get will be players out of favour from league 1/2 in England.

Realistically I would be happy with any of them. My preference would be Austin aswell but I think Vaughan would be a good bit of business as he is more than likely better than elbak

As well as the aforementioned Sanmi Odelusi there is, Adil Nabli (Currently at Peterborough - We tried to bring in a striker on loan from them before the window closed that fell through), Jerome Binnom-Williams (A left back?), Nathan Ralph (Another LB), Ben Richards-Everton (Ex-Partick defender), Shamir Mullins (6ft 5 striker for Forest Green), JJ Hooper (Striker at Grimsby), Hogan Ephraim (Former 'wonderkid' now at Whitehawk, striker), Ruben Lameiras (Midfielder at Plymouth), Gozie Ugwu (Striker at Chesterfield).

There's probably more, but that's what I could find online.

Odelusi scored for somebody recently, can't for the life of me remember who tho

I've said the same about Gowser for years on here. He's been central to seasons of shite and it's Hartley and partly McCanns fault he's in the team - as the rest on the bench are shite. If i had to choose a team from the two of their signings then i'd go with:

                                     Parish

         Kerr Meekings Hendry Jon

                          Kamara

             Deacon   Allen   Curran

                            El-Bak    AJ

Not an ideal team atall as we need strikers and another central midfielder, like we've needed for years.

I'd agree with that team tbh. Some games mcgowan does really well and keeps us ticking but he slows the play down too much at times. Still would prefer moussa over elbak

McGowan was so ridiculously bad and out his depth yesterday that it was embarrassing. He actually gave away 4 chances himself. We need to drop him from the starting line up if we are ever going to progress.

Moussa is simply not good enough either.

I'm OK with the rest of the team atm, but would still say O'Hara shouldn't be a starter either.

Out of pure curiosity who do you start instead of mcgowan and ohara? Think people are getting a bit carried away with the fact we got Beat from the best team in the country and let's be honest here we were never gonna beat them yesterday.

These results won't define our season.

Still think we should've taken Sammon and/or Storey in the summer when Thistle did. Both of them would thrive off of the number of chances we create. That's the type of striker we should be bringing in - someone who has scored goals in this league. Lewis Vaughan might turn out to be good but he's not a January signing. If and when we do sign a striker we need them to make an instant impact.

I don't rate storey but would have took sammon.

Ajls should be punted. He's anonymous. The only argument for keeping him is that he can pop up with the odd goal. He's like a shite version of the past it Paul Heffernan we had a few year ago. We should be striving to do better, but how much better is available in the January market?

Few rumours going about that we are trying to get Lewis Vaughan which I'd be massively excited about but we'd have to open the bank book for him and there's a chance he can be another El Bak.

Send elbak to Raith in the deal. Sir Barry will see us alrite

    Cheers Capt.  Unbelievable.

I would have thought he’d be better off concentrating on trying to get back into the 1st team.

I’m just hoping we never have an injury situation that ever requires recalling him to the 1st team!

Cannot believe what I'm seeing with that tbh. He's never hid that fact he's a Celtic fan but come on to f**k, our club pays this mans wages and he's doing that. Fair to say a certain Mr McCann won't be too enamoured with this.

  9. I would like to see us offer ohara another couple of years tbh. Over the past few games he seems to be becoming the box to box midfielder we all wanted him to be.  He's still only 22 so he's still gonna develop more and get better imo. Unless a certain laddie fae fintry called Charlie signs in January or the summer I think I could live with ohara moving on

I'll be honest I haven't seen him play as I've never gone along to an U 20s game as they're usually played in Montrose I think.  Having said that this is what I do know:

Leitch-Smith scores half the games he starts (something like 4 from 8), but since the 'penalty taking' incident against Partick he has found himself only able to make the subs bench.

Haber and McCann have been going at it since the end of last season when NM pointed out that he was lazy and was going to need to step up his game. He is lazy (or appears so), but he scores and assists at a much higher rate than Moussa.

Moussa scored a boatload of goals vs Raith, Cowdenbeath, and Buckie Thistle in the Betfred Cup, but in the top league he looks clumsy, lead-footed, and inept, and has scored one goal, a penalty. His effort is fine, but the endless missed sitters, and falling down looking for fouls is now an established pattern.

ElBak rare moments of brilliance , but at the end of the day only about 5 goals in 40 + games, gets bodied off the ball so easily, and gives it away constantly.

    Wighton is injured.

I hope that McCann is going to try and address this in the transfer window, but my concern right now is that Dundee still have four games to play this month that we have to deal with, and not just piss away.

If we play with a big target man then I'm afraid it has to be Haber over Moussa, but if we want to play with a more nippy striker then it has to be AJLS, and if he is still in the bad books then I'm clutching at straws and suggesting Henvey.  Or maybe even Haber with AJLS playing just off him looking for knockdowns, and thru balls from Allan.

Watching Moussa, Deacon, ElBak miss absolute sitters is annoying to say the least especially when the one guy (AJLS) with a decent strike rate is stapled to the bench until the last 15 minutes of every game is really a head shaker. Just one man's opinion though that can Henvey be any worse?

Hearts played with a 16 yr old tonight so why not us when we've got a youngster that knows where the net is playing for the youths. Just trying to see how we can setup best for these last four games this month. Fellow Dees what combination would you go for before the transfer window comes along?

AJLS with Deacon Allan and ohara or elbak playing behind him.  With Kamara and mcgowan or Curran in centre mid. Kerr jon Hendry meekings at the back and parish in the sticks. But I'm not NM
