He was originally from Crieff and his family moved to France where he played youth football for Nice and  Monaco..He was very highly rated and his signing was looked on as a bit of a coup for Saints at the time.He plays central midfield but can also play out wide...I have seen him a couple of times for the U20's but not enough to give an opinion..

He is a Perth boy and was with Saints from a very young age.He made over 100 appearances for the club and would have made a lot more if it was not for a few bad injuries..He them had a short spell with Alloa before playing around 60 games  for Raith Rovers over two seasons..If he stays injury free and still has the motivation he will be a superb signing for you..

Was Swanson ever a real target or was he just a smokescreen to divert attention away from the real target..TW has done this before, a bit of a nod and a wink to the right journalist and we are all talking about swanson..

Mooner is a great signing for you.He played a lot of games for Saints and is a very good player.No disrespect but he really should be playing at a higher level than this.

David Byrne is not Irish he was born and brought up in London he played for a short time in Ireland before joining us but he's definitely not Irish

It'll be in the Daily Record tomorrow and TW will start believing he's always been interested. Have to wonder who started it all..

Then Aberdeen issue a statement saying they have had no contact from St Johnstone about the  player .Maynard asks what's going on and says that he wants to go out on loan to get some game time.. Aberdeen then contact Saints to ask if we are "Still Interested." TW thinks Hmmmmm might not be a bad idea..Deal gets done untill the end of the season..It gets announced and fans of both clubs smugly say to their mates.."I Kent this was happening weeks ago"

This whole Maynard rumour thing is just bizarre..We are now talking about it because some Aberdeen fan on their Northern Lights forum had apparently read some saints  fans talking about it somewhere..So now both sets of fans are mysterious talking about something they heard from each other

Unofficial Twitter has quotes from TW saying we might not sign anyone if we extend MOHs loan. Not sure how I feel about that, obviously better than what we can get but it's pretty short term thinking.

Kerr has been very carefully handled over the last three seasons stepping up a level each year and continuing to develop and improve..I think the time is right for him to step up again and prove himself at premiership level..This will give saints five central defenders which is probably one too many and I reckon either Gordon or Gilchrist will go out on loan..Gordon is probably the better of the two but Gilchrist is also a fine player who at this stage needs to be playing regular first team football..With the other two emerging I don't think he will be offered a new contract and could do an excellent job for you.
