  1. If you read it he states we have punched above our weight in regards we finished 2nd in a league with Rangers and Hibs, 2nd again with a league with Hibs and Dundee Utd and a play off spot in a league that had Hearts and Hibs in it all with much bigger budgets than what we had so in those terms he is right.
  2. Agree on the issue with player power but it says a lot when they would gladly f**k the supporters over for getting rid of the Manager we cant have a full clear out so the only option is a change in the management team agreed on the McDonaugh as well as retaining part of the problem isnt a solution the only issue with the squad is and we have all been there at some point in our lives the grass isnt always greener on the other side if they do get what they want.
  3. Seen his comments on the Sun online accept wanting to buy some time for himself and look at the past 2 seasons ,but we are past that stage now and to give anymore time we risk dropping even more points: https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/1605243/falkirk-0-livingston-2-peter-houston-not-walking-away/ Houston said: “That’s up the board, although if you look at what we’ve done in the last three years we’ve punched above our weight. “The fans aren’t happy and that can change directors’ thoughts. “If they decide tomorrow morning to make the call then I accept it but it won’t be my decision. “I don’t worry about it if that’s what they want to do. I’m too long in the tooth for that. “But I want to stay here and get this team out the rut it’s in.” Houston, who kept his squad in the dressing room for almost an hour after this latest defeat, added: “I accept the criticism.
  4. I honestly dont think our board will act until they see how pissed off fans are though and i really hope they dont go with a Maybury/McDonaugh option as a replacement.
  5. You would like to think the Board will act but i think as mentioned previously the last manager we sacked was Eamonn Bannon and that was during the Fulston era. If it means they have to pay money to get rid then theres no chance.
  6. Frank De Boer was sacked after 4 games at Palace and we are now at the time of damage limitation and the board need to grow a set and sort it. He's had his chance to turn it round it hasnt worked. As for the board getting an easy ride its a different era, look back to the past if someone was pissed off they took to the streets to protest or strike they done something about it to try and get what they wanted these days we take to social media and have a moan about it and it stops there. Times like this that other than moaning on pie and bovril and facebook thats about the extent of how far action will go. Everyone is looking at someone else to take the lead and do something about the situation, i mean lets face it best way to get everyone thats pissed off together is match day, you cant get a banner into the ground as stewards would be all over it so that only leaves before the game then ditch the banner and go in.
  7. Think the Falkirk herald have been reading pie and bovril for their news about the club: http://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/sport/football/falkirk-fc/opinion-time-for-change-not-deckchair-shuffling-at-falkirk-1-4567177
  8. Fulston had a lot to answer for 225k for Derek Ferguson , Lamibie and an almost Liquidation
  9. You would think that giving the job to the best candidate is a given but then we are talking our board, thinking back to the Pressley appointment was it not between him, McNamara and McCann , I have no problem with Houston but this year its not going right and something needs to change and sharpish. I do believe if Houston left it would go to a rookie as lets face it we gave Holt a chance, Pressley and pretty sure the line wheeled out was ambitious full of potential the usual buzzwords.
  10. I think the board would look at someone that is going to get them noticed in the hope that whoever we get is untested wants a challenge and is relatively young or just finished his playing career. As far as they are going to be concerned its about the publicity surrounded an untested manager wanting his first crack at management. I would say Latapy would be worth a punt as a manager failing that i reckon the board would prob try Lee Miller not going to cost them much plus he is known to them.
  11. Coventry had the administrators called in, if i recall correctly over something to do with the Stadium fees/rent and if i mind right he didn't have a budget so in a sense he kept them league 1 in one season the following i think they got relegated all whilst being under administration.
  12. Pretty sure your right on that whilst his record was good for Newcastle reserves his record for us was 113 appearances and 25 goals. He's playing for South Shields now. Whilst i agree on lot of whats been said the blame game shouldnt be limited to just Houston, players and BoD need to take some of the blame for this as well. Whilst other teams are in touching distance at the foot of the table lose on Saturday and a gap opens up between us and the rest then that should be it. When was the last manager we actually sacked i cant mind if we even sacked Dave Clarke
  13. Knee problem it was, the pitch didn't help it though, healed up now after surgery been out since he left us just needs match fitness..
  14. Just need to see how injuries are now Kidd and Hippolyte i dare say being 2 still injured
  15. After reading one f a phone call to the Samaritans would be in order, True with Yogi at he did have a bit vision but the amount of times he let his ego get in the way of things and we lost a player because of it. Hoping tomorrow is a turning point for us, dont know if its a good or bad thing to have so many injuries this early on as hope they will keep injury free from now till end of season, suspension wise says for Sibbald and Miller 1 first team match so looks like they are back in as doesnt mention one SPFL 1st team match.
  16. If i remember rightly Billy Lamont was a bit of 1st Div or got us promoted and Prem div where if i mind right did he not resign, Yogi our longest in the top flight and Jeffries a bit between 1st and Prem divisions as well, am not even going to even comment on the Lambie/Collins era, Seeing as it didnt have any stats on Dave Clarke he has the worst record of any Falkirk manager with 12 wins, 18 draws and 35 losses.
  17. Think the one with Schmeichel was better: http://thesefootballtimes.co/2017/04/04/the-making-of-kasper-schmeichel-fifteen-games-at-falkirk/
  18. But on the other had if you look at Grotbags she had a fair set of lungs but was plug as f**k but then again if you go into practical magic you got nicole kidman and sandra bullock that not particularly flat but you wouldnt moan about.
  19. People said I would never get over my obsession with Phil Collins songs Well take a look at me now
  20. I was'nt happy when I heard that Kate Middleton was pregnant again, but I've since had a complete change of heart and come around to the idea of a new royal baby. This lady told me today that for the cost of pampering one Royal prince, we could instead use that money to completely house and feed up to 2,000 more refugee's in this country. Point taken.
  21. Prince Harry is said to be quietly upset that he's now going to be one further removed from the throne... He should really be worried that he's only a DNA test away from being cut out all together !
  22. I thought that as well as didn't notice his stats also dont see Eamon Bannon in there either and they missed out Dave Clarke as well Eddies Mays stats were won 4 , drew 8 and lost 15
