  1. At what point do we challenge the board on recruitment, Bomber, Colin, Davie Irons, Swift all failed to deliver but the chairman/board is hailed as doing a great job, the community teams are struggling and although we are supporting the community the core of the club and the ability to keep fans coming through the door is slipping as we see constant failure on the pitch. Another season of dull football, with a strong squad not delivering and struggling performances week in week out while they take our money.
  2. My comment on Buzz’s age was more about him possibly retiring- in that case Greig Spence would have been a shout, getting in a good keeper has been a struggle and I think the club had said at the AGM that they would look for 2 year contracts where applicable.
  3. Surprised there is not more on the list. Buzz probably has another year in him, he has been great for us but Fleming certainly a good keeper for us and a fair bit younger
  4. Yes sorry to see Scott go, most consistent by far. Don’t envy the Manager for the season ahead, budget uncertain, squad needs some major surgery, league start uncertain, training difficult, it is what it is but tough way to have to plan for the future.
  5. Aye happy to pay my season as well. Looks like a long time before we are back at Ochilview though. Bizarrely if I look at the crowd when I started supporting in the 80’s social distancing would not have been an issue. [emoji40][emoji40]I’m thinking Davie Irons is not going to get much of a transfer pot.[emoji23][emoji23]
  6. Happy also to pop admission in the pot for each home game still to play. They have given me so much pain over the years[emoji3]
  7. I see they have invited all the youngsters, great move for atmosphere but invariably we end up getting beaten when they take this initiative. I have blind hope we will win this one, I just can’t imagine us losing and going back to the days when we propped up Scottish football. I look back on the decisions since Corrigan was sacked and it shows how poor appointments can undo years of progress, I’m sure the Brechin supporters share the same thoughts as their decline has been as bad as ours if not worse. Come on Stenny - big push for safety starting with the points this Saturday.
  8. My bad but I don’t really understand a few things: Is it the chairperson or the Chief Executive who appoint the Manager. How many candidates did we have or did we go easy option third time in a row. I think the commercial side is better since the Chief Executive has come on in terms of sponsorship etc but really without a team on the park it is not success! Has the board changed much other than the Chairman in last 10 or even 15 years. What is his football background and experience? Just as important is there anyone else to come in if the Chairman or Board was to resign, they may even welcome fresh blood. I suspect it may be a fairly unrewarding task and many have given many years of service. None of these questions takes away from the fact our performances over the last few years have been very poor and getting worse. Apart from the arguably lucky ( we were like 20 points behind but took advantage of the rules) unjust over the season, but enjoyable Peterhead win in the play offs and the Falkirk victory it has been a painful few years. Colin and Bomber must look back in puzzlement, I don’t actually blame the board for taking a chance with Booth and thought at the time it was ambitious but possibly correct - however he just did not have the personality or emotional intelligence to work at our level, which would probably have shown at interview! There are good players in there but not enough and the good ones need to do more. Davie may well be given a chance to turn this round but we need to see improvement quickly or we will be joining the Shire. Genuinely need a change somewhere but like our other central Scotland teams this decade has been one to forget.
  9. Merry Christmas everyone and let’s hope Santa brought Davie a centre half, midfield general, a striker and a “get out of jail free” card as it is starting to look like we will need it HoHoHaaagh
  10. Missing tonight’s game, I hope we can build on the result from Saturday. A win would put us up to joint fifth which given recent form would give a tiny bit comfort although could still only be 4 points ahead of 2nd bottom if Albion win. I had high hopes for this season but see us almost half the points of league leaders and watching the wrong end of the table. Life as a warriors supporter was never meant to be easy[emoji27]
  11. Apathy - it’s as if nobody can be bothered! Disappointing result on Saturday but flattered thistle tbh. Looked livelier in the start of the second half but losing the goal within 2 minutes of scoring meant we had to chase. Haven’t seen the highlights but the 4th looked like a precision strike from an experienced striker - but the game was over by then.
  12. Another grim performance at Cliftonhill. Slipping down the league and no league games till Brechin which will be mahoossive for us. Good to see Mark get on the scoresheet but that is 12 goals in 4 games we have lost - need to sort that quickly as we don’t have the players to knock in loads at the other end[emoji848]
  13. Eddie Ferns to Clyde, hadn’t seen that one coming - best of luck to him though - great going up the wing in some games last season but final ball sometimes let him down.
