I think it's the facilities and guaranteed rent they are investing in rather than the club. They've never made a secret that the new venue wasn't just for Dundee FC. That's where the investment is. Scottish football as an investment opportunity isn't high risk, it's highly stupid.

In the statement they are a venture capital group in sports and media. They are obviously putting up dosh for the Nou Campy build for a return on investment in the long run. Keyes is reducing his immediate financial risk/hit for a longer term payback. It's a win/win for all parties involved . It's just smart financing and a bit of free advertising.
