agree boab , we bossed the midfield, had loads of energy in there , as for jack , j wish him well, should have stayed put but heard he chased money , if that's the case i'd rather have guys who realy want to play for us , so we move on .

agree mate but wish he had stayed. team is looking good on last nights performance and with drew wingate still to come back I think our midfield will be the key to any success we achieve this season.

excellent 2-1 victory tonight over Cumbernauld, worthy winners fought for every ball , we wanted it more tonight

got to agree with that. thought we bossed the midfield, defended well and looked threatening going forward. hopeful for a shot at promotion this year but early days. we mention for jack harrison who was cumbernaulds best player, all the best to him for the season except against us of course 😂

Don't mention him on this thread, he's on every other one making bold claims, he can leave this one alone hopefully

Sorry mate couldn't resist. 🤣 Sure the pitch will be first class as usual though.

Yes a smashing player who terrorised us last season and will be a huge loss for you guys.
Seem young Glackin joined Edusport how did he get on at Kilsyth ?

didn't play a lot for us and when he did was not at the level required. looked like he needed to gain more experience at a lower level.

Jack Harrison, John Tully, Michael McKay and Jack Hamilton have left the club

Big Jack not resigning will be a major blow for us. Probably our most versatile player and was able to play every position at the back. Big John was never my favourite player but did a job for us and will be missed. McKay and Hamilton never really featured much and think we have better players coming in. We will need some quality at the back as well  as up front now. Hopefully Higgy has resigned as I had heard there was interest in him from other clubs.

5 new signing's so far , great to see nicky back too, gonna be a realy hard competitive league again this season, hopefully we learn how to win away from home emoji849.pngemoji85.png🤣

A very good signing in Nicky Prentice, this along with Sawyers will make Kilsyth stronger this year.Sort out the away form and a good start could see you in the mix.

Delighted with the signings of Ross Brash and Nicky Prentice the others im not so sure about. Still think we are short up front with Sal leaving we have a huge amount of goals to replace. Haven't heard anything so assume we have retained the rest of last years team. So if we can get a couple of decent strikers in then I think we have a chance of being in the mix.

Talbot have signed Corey Pearson from Petershill.

Very good young player who I thought would have had a big season for us last year but couldn't break into the Kilsyth team. Hope he does well for yous. Not heard of us making any signings yet but im hoping we have retained most of our young players.

I expect Rossvale to look to strengthen their striking options, as it was their strong defence which appears to have got them promoted. Seven teams in the league scored more goals than Rossvale this season, including teams in the bottom half of the table.

I also notice that Stephen McGladrigan has been released. I have heard rumours of a striker possibly going into Rossvale, but I won't name him as he is still contracted to another club at the moment.

I would say the reverse is where you need to strengthen glens. midfield and attacking you look great but when matched in those departments your defence will not be good enough in the top division.

Absolute nuisance of a striker who doesn't give centre backs a minutes peace. Each time I've seen him he has occupied both centre backs and was the only player of real quality (others were good but he was a step ahead). He has scored goals for kilsyth and will do so wherever he ends up.

It will be interesting to see how he gets on with another step up the way in standard, if the rumour is true to be fair. Good player nonetheless.

Very very good striker at junior level however in my opinion not quite good enough for the seniors but hopefully im wrong and he makes a go of it. We do have 1 maybe 2 who could make the step up and im hearing theres interest in our fullbacks but selfishly I hope nothing comes of it and we retain most of our current squad. We will definitely need to add some quality to compete in what will be a stronger league next season.

Great game if u were a neutral had a bit of everything ,2-0 to benburb after 15mins an looking like we'd get a tanking , settled down an got back in game well to go 4-2 up , bens fought back for the draw and scored equaliser from last corner off the game . Can see why Bens are where they are in the league, good footballing side with a bit off a hard edge to them , couple of cracking players , liked the no9 ? And the guy McClaren is still a class act .
As for the referee we'l not even go there , let's just say he wasn't keen on giving us anything emoji849.png

don't think a referee has ever made me so angry, probably cost us the win and did his best to spoil a cracking game of football. however the draw was the fair result as not much between the teams. Agree McClaren  was class for the Bens with some great delivery and crosses into the box. I think probably back to our best starting 11 yesterday and what a difference from last week.

We'l be nowhere near promotion after a dreadful performance yesterday , we couldn't string to passes together and looked totaly out off sorts .
Not to take anything away from a gritty Kello team who totaly deserved there victory .

cant over state how bad our midfield was today. they had a shocker in a shockingly bad game of football. hopefully we get some of the players who were missing yesterday back for next week.

Our away form is terrible, we will beat anyone at home, except Darvel obviously, cause they are the best team in the league by a mile, but just can't seem to play away this season, we beat Neilston comfortably at home, but If the team want to get promotion, they need to sort out away form asap

to be fair our results have been terrible but our general play has been decent. same story last two away games, created loads of chances but failed to get the ball over the line. their keepers making great saves ours none and basically getting caught on the break.  also we seem to go to away games with players missing yet have full squads at home?? yesterday our right back who otherwise played well but cost us the game. out jumped by a small full back for the Neilston winner and possibly playing their striker onside for the first although it did look offside. looks like our away results will cost us any chance of going up

A welcome 3pts after the leathering we took last week , better side in 1st half but 2nd half mostly lie , and they can consider themselves unlucky not to get a point after pummeling us for last 25mins , a few fine saves by our keeper and some stout defending meaning we got the points emoji16.png

Agree with most but wouldn't say "pummeling " for 25 mins, we had 2 or 3 chances during that period to put the game to bed

I thought more or less the same. good 3 points but could have lost it or won by more as both teams had chances 2nd half. we played well first half but our midfield picked up a few bookings and looked like they were worried about getting sent off and lost their control of midfield. also worryingly we picked up a few injuries but hopefully ok for next week.
