  1. If we keep it tight at the back like last week, we’ll grab a goal or 2 up the other end. Galty said it in the post-match interview, we’ve conceded way too many on that poor run compared to the start of the season. Opportunity to go 3 wins out of 4 which is positive. Same team, formation and attitude as last week and we’ll be sound. Spiders win 2-0 [emoji106][emoji835]️[emoji836]️
  2. I’ve read before that it’s 1-2 weeks before a player is given the green light. Quick google search gave me the same answer.
  3. Very chuffed after yesterday. Massive reaction required after the poor run of games. Great opportunity to kick on and get another 3 points on Saturday. It’s been tricky picking a MOTM in recent weeks because they’re all guff, but yesterday was the opposite. Struggling to pull anyone out. Everyone a cut above Stenny. I’d like to see the exact same team and formation next week. Build some consistency. Only exception would perhaps be Block back in the mix. I thought the back line was solid. I’ve always preferred Billy in at right back. Clarke was outstanding in-between big Nicky and Little. Summers looked like he had something to prove against his old club. I think Stenny fans have been quite harsh. I thought they defended well at Hampden but we were on fire yesterday. Enjoyed the terrace yesterday too. Not sure how we all used to fit in that one stand. Well done QP[emoji106]
  4. Sadly couldn’t make it today. Anyone advise on the team line up, shape and how effective it was? Block in at right back I presume? Cheers.
  5. Out of all the contractors....really!? News on the street is the IBF are on route to pull it down[emoji23][emoji23]
  6. Muir Billy Little Jamieson Clark Block McGrory Galt Joffrey Thomson Sal or Moore
  7. Can’t think of many positives from yesterday. So here’s my negative nelly rant... I don’t think Purdue is there yet. Couple of fancy flicks but overall quite ineffective. Galty seems to go through weird motions in a game. Didn’t look interested early on then started to shine later in the game. Not sure why Joffrey was benched. Our star man in my opinion. I know Joffrey plays a more central role but I’d still have him in there over Purdue. He’s silky, grafts, can float past players and strike the ball. We took a sore one with Little going off. He was outstanding first half. Never easy when the defence is interrupted. Harsh penalty followed by poor defending from Clark and a fumble from Willie. Not pretty scenes. Not too hopeful for next week giving our record against Edi City last year. Praise to Nicky, Block and Little first half. I did say I’d be negative
  8. Round of applause for the media/marketing team at the club. Our own jet? Outstanding. Even more handy once we start the European football.... Seen here in the classic Irn-Bru strip.
  9. Desperate for a win here. Anything short of a draw and we're looking at Nations League play-offs. i'm confident Clarke and Robbo can lead us to a narrow win tomorrow. We'll be comin!!
  10. The new boys making noise vs the club that paved the way. Quite tricky to predict the outcome on Saturday. It's evident Cove have an attacking threat but previous games indicate an inability to keep the back door shut. On the other hand, QP have the best defence record in the league but haven't finished as many chances as we should. Tough to beat on Saturday with a goal or 2 nicked up the other end would be ideal. My optimism tells me it'll be 2-1 win in favour of QP. My honest thoughts are an evenly matched draw. It's great to have a set structure, style of play and starting 11 so early in the season. A win on Saturday would be a fantastic 3 points and a statement in the league running. Black and white army!
  11. At least the couple of years will be exciting
  12. Interesting in the final paragraph. Something I’ve thought for a while. We have a good, vocal support that’s wasted in Hampden. Hopefully Lesser can be similar to our away days.
  13. We’ve usually struggled to start strong after big Summer team transitions then looked for a run of wins further into the season. However, it’s fair to say, this year we’ve hit the ground running with a more than decent start. Now it’s about carrying on the momentum. I think Cove will be challengers this year. Big win on Saturday sets up a top of the table clash for the week after. Exciting stuff indeed. One game at a time though - I think this will be our toughest game yet. Tricky to assess Elgin after their result at the weekend. Stenny didn’t offer much but they are difficult to play against. Elgin perhaps found that out on Saturday. 2-1 Queens. Then again, if Galt’s feeling ruthless... 10-1 Queens.
  14. Add that to the memory book. Great day out today. 3 points on the board. Getting more excited by the week. Big praise for every player today. Can’t see any weakness in the team. Big shout out for Mark Roberts too. Exceptional recruitment and even better management. It’s great having this squad. Hopefully we can have decent contracts ready to offer at the end of the season to retain them.
  15. Excited for tomorrow. Looking forward to a trip to Glebe Park. Well, I’ve missed the famous hedge in honesty. Now for fitba. Last weeks result didn’t reflect the course of the game; however it did reflect our inability to take chances! If we play with confidence and conviction, we’ll take 3 points tomorrow. I presume it’ll be the same set up and starting 11 as last week. Unless I’m unaware of recent injuries. I note Alfredo will be out for another week. Hopefully have him back soon. 1-0 for Queens. Black and white army [emoji835]️[emoji836]️
  16. Easiest way to not finish 10th in League 2 is to not be in League 2 I guess I’m confident this group can make the play offs. [emoji835]️[emoji836]️
  17. Hopefully another strong performance for Queens. Always interesting sizing up whoever comes down from League 1. Only change I’d make from last week is Purdue out for Alfredo. Trying not to be blinded by his class goal against Airdrie. Purdue has skill but he looked the weakest link against Stirling. He didn’t fight much on Tuesday either. Not writing him off but Alfredo deserves a start. QP 2-0 win.
  18. Exciting stuff yesterday. First half was a bit stale but the second had a bit of everything. Sweet goal from Galt. Fair to say we could have had more - the woodwork is still shaking I hear and arguably we should have had a penalty. Quite a few new individual talents in the squad. Notably Jamieson, Little, Joffrey and Sal. Confident the squad will gel more as games progress. How about that from the QP fans yesterday. Loud and proud as always. Always a crackin’ day out to Stirling. [emoji835]️[emoji836]️
  19. Managing to get the points when you’re not at your sharpest is a sign of a true winning team. Looking forward to the season ahead after competing well against 4, supposedly, better teams.
