I don't like the way he says "us" when talking about getting back up. I won't be going to any games if he is still at the club next season.

I can't see how Martindale can be given the job of bringing any of these players through.
He does not have to technical competence or the required emotional intelligence to do so.
We are going to need someone who knows how to introduce young players into the team and develop them.

Wasn't as boring as I expected - ultimately not in a good way though.

Anyone bothered?

Martindale confirming Bruce, Nouble and Obileye are off next season.
Breakdown from that from me is:
Anderson was criminally underused in this season. If he was starting more we'd have more than wins than we do now.
Nouble's failure to get a move last summer came at the exact same time as his form falling off a cliff, no surprise - very frustrating player that I can see moving sideways at best and struggling for game time. Another manager won't give him the same patience he's had this season.
Obileye is very limited and without a left foot at all, he did well for us alongside a good/better defender like Guthrie/Fitzwater who could carry him through but when he's asked to do actual defending beyond his physical attributes he struggles big time. Guys like Devlin and Nottingham aren't good enough to compensate for him.
Not a surprise that they're off to be fair but at least it's confirmed.Obileye was never a centre back, came to us as a midfielder. Just another one on Martindale's brain farts to put him in defence.
Wouldn't be surprised if Holt and Brandon have relegation clauses that could see them off as well during the summer leaving us with no Premiership or Championships level players.
A double relegation is a distinct possibility.

I am currently abroad on holiday. I had some chap come up asking to take a photo of me for their dissertation!
I left school at 15 so no idea what this dissertation shit is all about.

Frightened by the comment's tonight. Scotland are in Germany for the Euros first game of Tournament. Let's showcase or football best players on pitch. Yeah we may go home but let's play and cause a stir. It's all about belief I believe if we are aggressive we will qualify.
You are not going to get that with Clarke.

I read about this a few weeks ago. It's a subject close to my heart as I suffer from Crohns, and have done since I was 7.
Wonderful advances in medicine mean that invasive surgery isn't the go to treatment option any more (too late for me sadly), but there isn't a bona fide cure for either Colitis or Crohns, nor do they know for definite how people come to suffer from it.
Knowing how the disease has impacted on my life means that I can categorically say that, for me, Jack Fitzwater is a bona fide Livi Legend. He's been through hell.
Fitzwater is definitely a big miss for us. We haven't got anywhere near replacing him in lots of ways.

I hope Montano is fit enough to start, could have him in instead of Nouble.

One of the most dis-heartening things about last night was seeing Anderson become increasingly frustrated with poor quality of service. As the midfield just disappeared into defence the gap between them and Anderson became too great for any coherent build up play involving him.
Why was Sean Kelly taking free kicks into the box instead of being in the box himself? Bizarre.

Relegation and behind the scenes turmoil. Can see a few years in the wilderness on the horizon.

We have been shite in this half. Relegation a certainty now.

A trifle defeatist? There still a fair way to go.
Down points about yesterday; were certainly the three points but more worrying was perhaps the effect it will have on County morale. previously they were dead and buried; now hey have fight.
We still have to play St Johnstone twice and St Mirren once at home; there's a lot still to play for unless of course you want the boys to give up now?
our bl00dy habit of giving other teams a two goal head start is a bugger; the first one was wholly avoidable. Also Martindale saying premier survival would be his greatest achievement is hardly something that would encourage and motivate the team.
We started poorly possibly partially due to the team travelling up on the day rather the night before (possibly another costs thing); the second half was encouraging but for me the biggest positive was Bruce Anderson getting his mojo back. If he can kick on then we've got more than a chance.
Defensively is still a huge concern particularly on the left side
I admire your optimism.

All over now.
Chance to visit one or two grounds I've not been to next season

That missed penalty might just be the lucky break that saves our season.

Was that the game Ryan Hardie had a blinder and Lee Miller scored with an overhead kick?
Was that the one where St.Mirren scored in the first minute or so and Robinson rounded off our scoring with an effort almost from the corner flag?

I wonder which ex-Livi player will knock us out.

Sore one.

Not a bad first half for us. Hopefully Shinnie stays on the bench.

I must have missed Penrice being suspended/injured, he'll be a big miss.
Hasty edit because I somehow missed Brandon in the line up, going to assume that's a back 3 of Obileye, Nottingham, and Donnellan with Brandon and MacKay wing backs; Holt and Carson sitting midfielders with Bradley and Pittman ahead of them and Yengi up front.
Can't see it going well.
Interesting line up. If we can get MacKay and Brandon into advanced positions there might be something there for us tonight.

When a team of professional footballers go 90 minutes without managing to muster a single attempt at goal or even winning a corner such as our lot on Saturday then it really is all over.

So Martindale says he will still be manager on game 38 no matter what. I think he and Rice need to go now.
Some people thinking there was something positive in last night's performance, I don't agree, particularly once you reflect on where Ross County are in the league and the run they have been on.
Martindale has ruined Anderson, St.Kelly and Bradley, how much more damage will he do between now and the end of the season?

I go to football for entertainment value only. Watching Martindale's teams has become increasingly tedious over the past couple of seasons. We need a change.
Besides, no-one should be allowed to stay in a football manager's job after the level of incompetence shown by Martindale this season.
