Joe Hamill would be an obvious choice based on Simmy, his assistant at Musselburgh, getting the assistant's job at Nitten last week 🤔 Gotta think Kieran Renton would be on any shortlist too - an ambitious young manager. Or, Stevie McLeish?

I have no inside knowledge as a Musselburgh supporter, just guessing, but food for thought?

Don’t think Mcliesh should be anywhere near the place. When he left before , he trashed the club on social media regarding finances and their refusal to be taken over by a company who are now bust. Thought it was very unprofessional

Dont remember hearing much said during the game towards the management, that only happened at FT. The reply back to the fans was surprising from management.

Question for me is where is the vision and ambition from the club? Relegation last season, 3rd this season looking more likely to be 5th in the coming weeks.

U20s doing well, looking like winning their league hopefully. Playing some good football with some players looking like they could contribute to the 1st team. Yet all we see is the same lads week in week out scraping some wins in a league we were meant to win.

With no signs of progression into a poor 1st team whats to keep the better u20s players with ambitions of 1st team football at Nitten next season?

This season could of been a great opportunity to add a few lads to a squad that needs energy in it.

One vision for the club could be progression of young players. If done in a balanced way you could gain a reputation over the coming years for giving the best youth a chance. Attracting better 16, 17 and 18 year olds to the u20s.

If you get this right you have a convener belt of talent to chose from and promote with a aim to sell and reinvest in experienced players to support this model.

All i know is the fans in the stand are always excited when they see young lads starting or on the bench given a chance.

Time for change the fans can get behind, needs a braver club than what we are seeing now.

I agree , need to be braver and bring the young ones in . There’s some good players in the 20s and it would be a shame to lose them to other clubs who would be willing to give them a chance . Sadly, it’s not going to happen.

  3. The manager should not need to be held back by players because a ‘buffoon’ shouted at him. Not acceptable. I believe the ‘buffoon’ in question has been a season ticket holder for many years and part of a group who puts money into the football club on a regular basis. Surely he can voice his opinion . I wasn’t there and don’t know what was shouted but ffs you can’t go around challenging supporters to fight!!!

    V - easthouses

    Very easy 5-1 victory

Lilly very very very poor and apart from their scrambled goal didnt bother the stand in keeper ,,,,,,,

Welfare took the chance to rest a lot and play the rest , none really stood out apart from Froud up front , some looked way out their depth sadly

but its all about sorting out the starting 11 , probs be on Saturday for that if all available as some seemingly still injured or on hols

    its getting there though

Very poor lily team , fantastic set up and hats off to them for all. The hard work put in - Fyn Connor I thought had a great first half, Yanni strolled it - 2 CB very comfortable - looking much better

I noticed on Dalkeith site that they will be announcing a few signings in due course as Jock Landells has been busy securing signatures and also his backroom staff. Jock must have wondered what he had done for 9/10 players to disappear with his feet just in the door. Fingers crossed he can get a competitive squad together.

Think his reputation for free flowing football goes before him - :)

We will most probably wait until their contracts with their current clubs have expired before announcing them.

Hope our squad from last season do well for you  - we owe them nothing and they owe us nothing - players come and go - that's football stingyjag.  Only the club endures.

I would imagine a few ex Arniston players and a couple young Livvy players on loan

I remember when our photo highlights used to be of trophys....

Million miles away now - sadly changes made too late and not enough time or players available for manager - hopefully next season will see a big improvement in what will be a fantastic league with loads derbies -

loan agreement might say rintoul plays if available? lucas suffered as consequence? or maybe been ill or just dropped?!?! we don’t know details but yano is a better appointment than garyburger and jock

You would have been a better appointment than jock :)

positive today was the effort from everyone. negatives was another late goal. could have been 2-0. splendid save from there keeper. great skill from kevin for our goal

Very young team and did very well I thought- what a difference it makes when you have a coach that can actually coach and organise a team . Also looks like they guys have an appetite to play for him - finances limited and also good players not usually freely available in January , but onwards and upwards - massive improvement in my opinion

Least it's no the old pals act o players signin because theyre managers favs and good that the new lad in charge has actually gone out and looked at players. If it benefits the clubs position then I'm all for it whether signed from amateurs or not :)

Spot on Newcy- lot of decent lads out there that could cut it a in LL - but signing players from the same team because they’re the only one that will play for you was never gonna work- I’m sure Yano will kno all about the lad and not just signed because someone in the pub told him he was a good player - time will tell
