  1. No real surprise as our Skipper was the best player on the park most weeks , good luck to Skip where ever he ends up
  2. Another season starting with a new team of players , fingers crossed it works out his time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Cant see many of the current squad being required either
  3. Rangers striker Jermain Defoe watches nephew make his debut for Whitehill Welfare
  4. There are some but not many sadly ,,that coupled with the fact the majority are not good enough helps not at all But there is always hope I would be more worried what team Welfare will have for next season regardless what league they are in they will struggle badly as the EOS premier will not be any easier than the Lowland
  5. Was a bit bewildered by the team selection. ,,,, as were we all Newky You forgot to mention the strange formation and then the not so amusing changes made as well ,,,, bring back Jock lol
  6. Correct on Grant and Wright , polar opposite on Hamilton and Laing im afraid to say
  7. A shame the team Captain who always led by example on and off the pitch has been made to leave , all the best Scotty
  8. Do not agree with this in the slightest ! If there were a backlog or fixture pile up then perhaps yes ,,,,,,,,,,,,but neither apply here Totally unfair on the other teams who have had to play on their rotten coos field of a pitch Just because they train at Spartans they now want to play there as well ,,,why dont all the reams just play wherever each week then ,,,pathetic
  9. Good luck Kyle , ( given the limited pitch time he was our top goal score )
  10. Was shocked he started ,,,, why was Lucas dropped ?
  11. Great to get a point, but should have been 3, sadly keeper error, soft goal lost at the end, Open goal sitter missed by Hamilton to make it 2.0, as well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh New centre half did ok, other 2 youngsters did their best but toiled, Lucas never stopped challenging, Woods coped well with the ariel attack, Sommerville had a great game very impressive, Keane was different gravy Well done the Welfare Lads
  12. A win was required for Welfare , ,, Bobo in goals was good and confident , back 3 were shaky but a draw was a fair result well done to all who turned up
  13. More Signing News Goalkeeper, Paul Grant, signs from Broxburn Athletic & attacking midfielder, Mikey Hamilton, signs from Ormiston Amateurs. Ormiston Amateurs !!! the flack Jock got for signing players from Arniston and now we are signing from Orniston Amateurs ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Saying that if it works and he is a gem great work Good to have another keeper as well
  14. East Kilbride - Away Just watched this , good effort from the lads , but giving away gift goals ,,,it must be Christmas ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ww player got caught not once but twice with the same silly trick , and for the 2nd goal what is the ww back 2 doing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Well done for not freezing to death to all though
  15. The good news keeps on rolling in ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Any news on players coming in ? and i dont mean a returning rat EK away could be a bad day as always good luck to the Team
  16. Lads would and should want to play Newcy but surely the 1st team comes 1st and they should be kept for the Saturday not run into the ground and not do themselves justice for the team by having to double up ! For the 20s league games move a couple of the older lads who wont be playimg down and a couple of 20s up ,,,, good luck to the new Management
  17. Well said but not fair playing the 20s Friday and Saturday either or surely !
  18. Great Defensive display from the lads , and well organised xxx ,, Agreed re - the subs Hopefully the injured lads return soon as well ,
  19. Lets move on now , onward and hopefully upward
  20. so - Applications are being taken for the vacant manager position and interested parties should submit their CV to whitehillwelfare@gmail.com by Thursday 22 November at 5pm. Applicants must hold, or be working towards, a UEFA B Licence as a minimum requirement. Wonder what the response (if any ) was ,, still say a few decent players in is more important at this stage but fingers crossed for both
  21. Correct Newky only difference between the teams in the last 2 matches was they had no mistakes from their keepers ! Team effort was great on Saturday Civils first was well offside the 2nd ,,,,,,,,,,, a hopeful punt no danger but what is our keeper doing ! Last 2 matches our back line have been solid Mitchell was excellent Keane was immense and with a few others ( and a keeper ) we could get some more points Given the performance strange to get rid now but its done so time to move on for all
  22. Canny argue with that ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sadly
  23. Good Luck to the Welfare tomorrow , odds against them but we need a result somehow Old saying about a ship sinking you always spot the rats ! for those still fighting for the Welfare well done to you all
