I thought the CIC model was supposed to aid transparency? I suppose some questions are better left to those in charge to deal with, I’ll just stick to worrying about on the pitch events rather than the nonsense behind the scenes

Well, if you’re an “ owner” you’d already know that’s certainly not the case with the CIC model sadly.

Don’t know who “ the cult “ are ( other than the 80’s rock group ) so you are off the mark there. All joking aside it’s a shame that the club doesn’t have hospitality available in the Arria that day. It’s a great day out. Is the matchday sponsor not an option? Or does it not cover a big enough party for you and your guests? Milanos is nice and not too far from the ground, would need to drive it as it’s not really walkable but a decent option. I hope you can get something emoji1303.png

Terribly kind of you. Thank you.

Matchday sponsor or just slum it with the rest of us. If you are worried about loss of revenue for the club, why not just make a donation? Race night is coming up so you could buy extra raffle tickets

I’ve “slummed it” many times thanks- and will do many times again. This was a special day with a couple of guests who support Peterhead.... so could not be undertaken on another day.

Flights had already been booked before the Ladies Day had been announced. My fault for not checking and just assuming hospitality would be n offer.

Your solution suggesting I buy extra tickets at the race night is a stupid as it is unhelpful.

Well there you have it , problem solved. I believe the last game v The Rangers of the Northeast we didn’t have any hospitality ( might be mixed up with another game) so may be why the commercial dept or whoever chose this game for the Ladies day event. A better response from the club would have been to offer matchday sponsors rather than just go elsewhere. As for the bar in the Arria, to my knowledge the club only make a very small profit from that, even with private events. A sound bit of business by our previous Chairman

    Problem solved?

Is this just open criticism or do you offer a solution? Why were you turned down for hospitality?

Should it not be the Commercial Dept offering a solution? I asked the commercial dept for a solution- “ buy your tickets online and go to the Smiddy or the Farm was the attempt- so I then went ahead offered them a solution....

At time of communication there was no match sponsor in place- I asked if this was a possibility if the Club allowed a few more Boardroom guests-

I was told to go on line to see what the match sponsor package included and to book through Club shop if I wanted to proceed.

Sorry if I’m not getting the hang of this Commercial thing ....

I don't think we are in a position to be rejecting business considering there was supposed to be a deficit in the clubs finances.

The Peterhead game could be a huge game in trying to stay in this league. Telling folk not to bother and to go to the Farm instead us ridiculous when we should be trying to get as big a crowd as possible.

    My point exactly

Or there was none planned or booked so commercial decision was made to try and do something different ?

£25 including match ticket (£15) and glass of Prosecco and tapas lunch - (now afternoon tea) that’s hardly going to generate some profit- for the Foundation, not the Club.......

Fairly sure an arrangement could have been suggested to ensure the Club received £450 plus a hefty bar bill rather than the suggestion of the Farm-

Not exactly met with a “can do” attitude, which is disappointing....

Massive issues at both ends. I actually believe that is because the midfield is just not good enough. Too slow, not enough goals from them, predictable, don't get beyond Goodwillie, don't win the tough games in terms of determination and so on. Grant, McStay, Lamont etc are the problem - IMHO. And Cuddihy , I forgot him. Really poor in recent months.

It’s time for them to step up-

If Danny Lennon AND Allan Moore don't have the required contacts between them, who exactly do you think does have and would be willing to join the club? Let alone wherever you're getting the money to pay for a Director of Football.

Maybe one of the short list of candidates for the post?
Where do we get the money for anything? Certainly not through commercial activities- no golf day planned- no speakers night organised-

Lots we are not privy to I’d say.

Can we stop relying on one player

Think it’s 3 at the moment.

But, as far as Goodie is concerned it’s tactically absurd to have a player of his quality so isolated. We have to play to his strengths and he’ll start scoring loads again.

Very frustrating times- and it has proved unequivocally that the difference in league 1 is bigger than we thought.

A better standard of player is needed- hungrier- more aggressive and up for the fight when needed too.

i can’t see why ( if we stay in this league) we’d keep too many to just go through this again.

No, it is not. I'm saying he made a c**t of it but I trust him to remedy it. No one was complaining at the time when all the signings were being mate, he's been let down by a fair few of them.

Oh right - he made a Cnut of it AND he’s been let down by players. To be honest, how many of his signings have been a success? Mitchell, for sure. Howie at CB yes not RB. Lang, for sure but he didn’t play him in his natural position for months until Cogill got injured, CJ, No, Smith, No, Wallace No, Fitzpatrick, No, I could go on....... what part of any of this gives you the reason to trust he’ll remedy things with a completely new squad? I personally don’t think he has the contacts in football we’d expect of him and the sooner we appoint a well connected Director of Football to help bring players of the right standard to compete for promotion to the Championship, the better.

Danny has been given everything, he’s a very nice, friendly, approachable person and yes I believe he’s developed a real affinity with the Club..... but, 2 wins in 14 games.... not scored for a month, lack lustre performances, shocking finishing, poor tactics,  all very real criticisms...... something has to give eventually.

His post match interviews are becoming very repetitive, loaded with cliches and comments about believing in the quality in the dressing room.
Well just over a quarter of the season to go and we’re 1 point off the playoff spot- I hope, I really hope, we turn things around..... but we’re running out of time for Danny to get this right.

Tonight proves that Danny made a huge mistake in handing out contracts whilst emotions were high from the play offs.

Lamont, McNiff, Rumsby, Cuddihy, Lyon, Duffie and Fitzpatrick all not good enough at this level. Harsh on Cuddihy and a lesser extent Rumsby, but the former has been a huge disappointment this season.

Recently Grant has been poor as has McStay who in my opinion is very inconsistent.

Summer signings very poor Im afraid with the exception of Mitchell. Wallace, failure and already away. Smith, failure and probably won't feature much for the rest of the season. Johnstone, failure - hasn't lived up to the hype and a guy who was meant to be our big signing is stuck on the bench, the raith fans were right about him.

Unfortunately January signings with the exception of Lang have been disappointing, expected decent things from Wylde but can see why he's ended up with us.

With that, I love Danny to bits but ultimately the blame is with him, he made those signings. I'm not calling for Lennon to go, far from it, but ultimately we need to get to the end of the season and stay in this league, then a massive clear out is needed and Danny is definitely the right man to do that.

Is your last paragraph not a bit of a contradiction?

    A member or an owner?

It makes no difference what is called. In my opinion the model is, in reality, closer to a membership than ownership scheme but either description is fine with me.

No I wouldn't be happy if we were paying Goodwillie that amount.

I would, however, be happy if we were in a financial position that it be affordable to the club.

How much would you feel comfortable in paying him?

  14. 2 hours ago, haufdaft said:

Not a member anymore so im not entitled to know what is happening at my club.

However, though grandstand jungle drums, I'd heard we were not running at a profit or break even at the time of the AGM

We certainly weren't flush enough to be paying £1000/week.

Of course, I'd be happy if my information was wrong.

    A member?

You’d be happy if we were paying this amount to Goodie?

Anyone who was aware of our financial situation around the time of Goodwillie's contact extension will know that any suggestion £1000/week is nonsense.

My theory is that Goodwillie insisted that it would take a £1000/week for him to leave his beloved Clyde.

What WAS our financial situation around the time of the contract extension?

David Goodwillie signed a £1000/week contract keeping him at Clyde until 2023 Perhaps with that in his hipper, these days he's maybe sitting back with a large brandies and cigars......cue him scoring on Saturday.

You’re so misinformed....... you didn’t mention the Company car and the signing on fee!!!!

The manager, assistant, centrebacks, Grant, captain, any senior player.

    Take your pick.

    The manager: without doubt

    Asst Manager: as above

Grant: really? Hasn’t played well for at least 8 games- doubt its his place to demand the ball to feet.

Captain: I’m led to believe he’s only captain as he has experience to chat to ref

Any senior player: I’ll be a while working that out I’m afraid.
