Bless - though I suppose your derby bragging rights over *checks notes* Stenhousemuir is all you've got left to cling on to.

Fun fact: Falkirk have now lost 19 of their last 38 league matches.

    A 50% loss rate.

    In the seaside leagues.

As a full-time, professional football club.

Are you really laughing though? You must’ve had your fill by now surely. I didn’t bat an eyelid when Morton were struggling in the seaside leagues.

Surely must be the nail in Rennies coffin. As has been mentioned I'd be amazed if we get a point between now and the end of the season. This mob were needing a manager that would kick arses and not take any shite not a sergeant Wilson type like Rennie.  The fact he keeps picking the biggest shitebags makes you wonder if he really wants to stay. The unholy triumvirate of Mackay, hetherington and miller playing every week makes it impossible to get a win for starters. Anyone with half a clue would have them cleaning the changing rooms and nowhere near the side. Gutted I can't make behind the goals tonight but should be interesting .

And its comments like this that make it so funny. That's the 'bigger club' mentality for you. All the more fans to watch you get pumped every week. 😂

Take your point about the crowd thing but, come on, “joy to your heart”? We’re only Falkirk ffs.

Trying to think of something funny to say, but your results just keep doing the talking.

Thank you. From the fans of the other 9 teams watching you capitulate further every week.

You put joy in our hearts. ❤️

I guess we should take some consolation that it means so much to you. It must be because of the sheer indifference that is met with your club. Don’t get me wrong though, gates are dropping and when we start hitting 600 crowds like your club the indifference will be the same.

Listened to Rennies interview and it worries me he is still talking about catching QP, not a hope in hell of that happening. If I was him it would be the other end of the league I would be concerned about.

There’s no need for this hysteria, we’re not going to be relegated this season.

Just didn’t get the rub of the green today. I thought Rennie and the boys were excellent throughout and could/should have won the game. Some of Holts signings still holding us back I’m afraid but definitely a point gained and a game that Sheerin would have left empty handed. Onto next week. COYB.

This will go down like a lead balloon.

Due to the prolonged depressing downward spiral we find ourselves in I have been drawn more and more to watching happier FFC times on YouTube recently.

this afternoon I watched a few of the games from the 90/91 season including the two airdrie away games which we won 3-1 and 3-0 coyle playing for airdrie) and our first ever live game v ayr (4-1).

quite a few things stood out. interestingly I had forgotten Jeffries lost his first 3 league games in charge (in case rennie needs a precedent!) and quickly turned it round with some amazing signings like Tommy mcqueen from West ham, Eddie may, Alex Taylor and of course Simon stainrod,  who was captain.

another was how the rules have changed, only 2 subs, both outfield so (for younger bairns) outfield player had to go in goal if goalie went off. the pass back rule to the goalie still existed.  the refs looked much older, less fit and let some tasty tackles go. obviously great to see the old terracing too.

it was also interesting to see how much the crowd grew from the first airdrie away game to the second. it shows if falkirk can get a good team on the park and play entertaining football the crowds will follow to away games. jock brown in the commentary said 6000 falkirk fans had travelled to airdrie (I loved those games at Broomfield).

compared to todays team we had utter creative quality (stainrod, Taylor, may, mcwilliams, mcgivern etc) and power in the likes of yogi, baptise, Neil Duffy. clever defenders like mcqueen and smith.

no director of football required to sign a team of absolute behemoths! Great Post match interviews from God and Jeffries.  mcgivern saying away fans more forgiving than home ones, not much changed in 30 years then!

My first season going to (mainly home) games aged 8 and thought it was always going to be like this. Then as the 90s wore on there was the prospect of moving into a new stadium (my vision was a McDiarmid Park style stadium, packed to the rafters, as we competed well in the Premier League….).

OK, time to think outside the box as no obvious solutions seem to be imminent.   We are in an "all hands to the pump" situation.  Can we call out for urgent help from former big names connected to Falkirk who might still have a soft spot for us?

    - Sheerin out immediately.
    - Holt out immediately as no self respecting manager will put up with that scenario.
    - Get Totten back for a few weeks until new manager is appointed.
    - Need immediate motivational input to current players from proven achievers - advice from Crunchie, Stainrod, Gillespie, (insert names here) etc?
    - Captaincy taken away from Hetherington.  Drop Hetherington.

You can add or replace to this list.  We need to do something right for a change.

Have candid interviews after a game if it’s been a poor performance. Otherwise don’t have them. Doesn’t have to be brutal.

”So (insert managers name), why were we so poor today”?

Not a major priority I know but the first thing that came into my head and they are very annoying.

Don’t be stupid. League 2 is on our horizon…..

I’m going to put it out there and say I doubt we’ll end up in League 2. We seem to have enough to take care of poor sides like Clyde or Dumbarton who really are part-timers.  However, against anyone with a bit about them….

To be fair, your stadium with just 3 sides is way better than our building site. But your comment that “arguably one of the worst results in our history” does kinda whiff of that arrogance mentioned earlier, or perhaps just denial. Falkirk we’re beaten by Queen’s Park. Both teams in the same league, with full time squads and we had home advantage and started the game sitting higher in the league.

    It’s just 3 points.

I don’t agree. I doubt any Falkirk fans were surprised we lost yesterday but losing 6-0 to Queens Park and not regarding that as not one of the worst results in our history would be very concerning. I mean, as someone mentioned earlier, I don’t think we’ve lost that heavily to a team outwith Rangers or Celtic since the 70s. Lots of “history” there.

Wouldn't it be nice if one, just one, Falkirk fan could find it in him to say " well done Queen's, you completely outplayed us and fully deserved your victory"? Come on, try.

No fan worth his salt would do that would they? If you got beat 6-0 off Rangers or Celtic would you be full of praise for the opposition? I’m guessing not as that would probably be an expected result. So why would arguably one of the worst results in our history be met with making sure we gave out platitudes. I’m sure Queens Park are revelling in their victory and then some.

so do you have to live in the town a team plays in to support them?do you live in grangemouth?

just watched the highlights and to be fair to the mighty bairns the 5th goal should never have stood

No you don’t. It was really just a bit of a teasing comment rather anything that needed too much analysis.

However, the bus loads of Rangers and Celtic fans leaving various Scottish towns including Falkirk is a bit soul destroying which you may or may not agree.
