  1. It’s a scandal really because Clydes mistake is punishing Berwick, an innocent victim. The Albion game should be replayed with Clyde covering all costs. QP should be given the option of either banking their point or replaying the game again with Clyde covering all costs. If they don’t want a replay then a fine for Clyde would suffice. But gifting Albion 3 unworthy points is a disgrace on every level.
  2. Proves my point. They’ve lost about 120–150 fans. So in Berwicks case you’ll be looking at crowds of 300 maybe a little less.
  3. Honestly couldn’t say. I would hazard a guess and say they were once much better supported. Went to one home game of theirs with an attendance well into the 300s.
  4. Listen I hear what you’re saying but you seem to be of the mind that crowds stay the same regardless of what division a teams in. They don’t. Albion Rovers average in the 200s as a league team so what’s their true level? Point is if Berwick go down so will crowds thus hindering ambitions to get promoted.
  5. Maybe first season down the crowds might stay somewhere near the 350 mark but if the club gets marooned in mid table season after season then expect crowds in the 200s. To think differently makes no sense.
  6. If you believe 449 are going to regularly turn up for LL football you’re insane. Any club would lose a chunk of fans the lower they go.
  7. Seriously what the hell is happening behind the scenes at Berwick? Dropping into non league football would be a death knell for the club. They could never afford a big promotion push to get back. The crowds I would guess would be 100, maybe 200. But nowhere near the 500+ crowds they get now. They would very quickly become a forgotten footnote in the consciousness of Scottish football fans, lost in the oblivion that is the Lowland League. For goodness sake they should be moving heaven and earth to make sure they stay in the league. Show Harvey the door now. His word can not be trusted. Any manager will keep spouting unrealistic positives in the blind belief they are the best man for the job even when the rest of the world can clearly see they’re not. Get anyone else in, in the hope of that new manager bounce. It’s never been this desperate before so the board should be acting desperately and doing anything it takes to keep the club in the league. All I see is a club meekly walking to its death with barely a whimper.
  8. Not a Berwick fan as such but they are the nearest club to where I live so pop along to support them every so often. Was there Saturday with my son and really enjoyed the match. There was a really good atmosphere and if Johnny Harvey (who really impresses me) can continue to improve things I can see attendances improving and the feel good factor growing greater. I think Harvey has huge ambitions and knocking around the bottom is not for him. Berwick fans should be excited.
