Thought we had won a watch when we signed Crighton and Jamieson. So far Jamieson has been a major disappointment. In games he has looked like he is reluctant to put a tackle in at the crucial time and is as FF says costing us a goal a game. We are not putting teams under extensive pressure and give goals away too cheaply. Worrying at the moment.

Rather enjoyed this, gave quite a good insight to the circumstances surrounding this. The degree of self entitlement and how prepared they were to cover up and support Lucan was no surprise from these "upper class" wankers. May be a degree of truth in the ending however.

Leitch - we still don't know yet. Seriously is he for real.

There are some horrible people about.
I heard a cat crying outside and when I opened the door I saw four blokes in Celtic shirts playing football with it.
I was just about to phone the RSPCA when the cat went 1-0 up.

Just finished the two latest Ian Hunter books and also revisiting the albums when he talks about them. He really is prolific to a high standard. Not many like him now a days

Dunfermline scoring for fun. From our point of view Wedderburn missed tackle for 1st and failed to track back with his man for the 4th. 2nd and 3rd utter defensive shambles. Hope we have the cheap goals out of our system now before league starts. We need a wind muff on the microphone for after match interview.

Worked shifts for 25 years and it was swings and roundabouts re time off at weekends or during the week. What it did do though was completely f**k up my sleep pattern. Towards the end I was getting not much more than 4 hours sleep per day and developing a heavy drink habit on my first night off trying to get a sleep.

Surely you did not believe that would happen. The party of broken promises.

Is this not just the opposite side of the coin to British "ex-pats" not being allowed to stay in Spain, which was greeted on here by whoops of joy and raucous laughter?
Were the rules not mutually agreed?
Yes but it does not fit his agenda

Still waiting on the low cost energy company that she promised a few years ago. Surely it will happen soon as there is no way she would promise and not deliver.

Penalty looked soft but hard to tell.
Penalty was a stick on for a push. We had a reasonable first half but were well out of it in the second. Both players at the Thistle goals should have been picked up and far too often we were failing to clear our lines.
The main thing we are allowed back into the grounds and it was great after watching that remote camera shite.

The authorities now need to tell them that is it no more.

While I have a degree of sympathy for Bukayo Saka, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford and find the racial abuse they are getting abhorrent let us not forget who they are.
All are professional players, playing for top clubs at a very high standard earning money most of us can only dream off. They are good enough to play at international level and Southgate apparently believed in them. We have seen more senior players miss penalties at a crucial time. What does annoy me is Rashford thought he was being smart with his penalty. Had he scored we would never have heard the end of how cool and classy he was and he got what he basically deserved. Put the ball down and smash it into the net ala McGuire.

For the second time this week I have watched a Labour MP on tv waffle on about what needs to be done. Their argument is okay until it comes to funding and then they are completely clueless with no answer. Today's twat, Jonathan Reynolds, was waffling on about how there would be tax rises to pay for it. When asked what taxes would rise he had absolutely no clue. And they wonder how they are not taken seriously.

Yeah if only we’d had an election recently where this could have been raised and judgement passed.
Oh. Wait….
Just like the delayed until after the election missed cancer tests. Sweep Sweep

Yeh the itinerary is day at sea, day at glacier, skagway, juneau, ketchican and a day at sea before going back to vancouver. Gonna do the lumberjack shows, go to a gold panning thing, whale watching and some of the other excursions. Cannae wait.
Depending on how much you want to spend there is a float plane in Ketchican that takes you over to an island to see bears which was great, also train trip in Skagway is worthwhile. When on the ship watch for birds gathering just above the water generally a sign that there are whales in the area. you will have a great time.

Have 3 cruises booked for 2022 with the first being a South African cruise in February. Will be interesting to see if this goes ahead as the cruise line has already started cancelling South Africa and South America cruises for the end of 2021.

This is only tangentially related to Stenhousemuir FC but erstwhile Warrior Harry Paton has been called up to the Canada national team:
The wee man is going to be rubbing shoulders with superstars like Alphonso Davies, fair play to him! Paton is one of my favourite Stenhousemuir players and it's great to see him getting the chance to play at this level.
Great news for Harry - looked the part when we had him, had a bit of flair as well as being able to give it and take it. Good luck to him.

A squad of 19 so far plus 1 out on loan. Will we be taking any Hibs youngsters this year or is Swift going with more experience?

Living with cancer (and madwullie memorial thread)

Sorry to hear your news, make everyday count. Friend had liver cancer and was helped by this. Proton Beam Therapy or Photodynamic Therapy. Don't know if you have heard of it but may be worth investigating. Everything is at this time. Best wishes.
"Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) kills cancers by starving the cells of oxygen, and uses light to activate a chlorophyll-like drug. The song’s lyric tells the story of a man dying of cancer, wanting and knowing that PDT is his best chance of defeating his killer disease. PDT is a single, one-off treatment cancer treatment where tumours are killed within minutes. It is a treatment that can be repeated without any toxic damage to the body, and few sides effects, compared to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. PDT can also be an alternative to surgery.
PDT is available now for skin, head and neck, mouth, oesophageal and some lung cancers on the NHS now. But the potential for PDT to successfully treat other cancers and conditions means that £50m has to be raised to fund the trials. Breast, cervical, prostate, bile duct, brain, throat, bladder and stomach cancers are on the target list. So is PDT for arterial disease and MRSA."
