  1. BBC Sport giving an attendance of 649 at the game today, from where I was sitting seemed more than that. Buzzing with that result today, weren’t at our best but still handed out a thumping. Looking forward to next week and hopefully can take a decent support up to balmoor (can already guarantee that it will be freezing[emoji23][emoji23]). Onwards and upwards EIO[emoji815]️

  2. This is really a match to see who has the second leg of the play off at home or who comes runners up behind Cove.
We have a pretty decent record against Airdrie in the last couple of years. Wouldn't be surprised to see a draw here (and Wouldn't be unhappy if it were)
See you in the play off finals

Shhhh we’re still going for the title, at least let us hope[emoji28][emoji28]
  3. Really looking forward to this which is definitely a must win if we want to have any chance of catching cove. Feels like every match lately is massive and a cup final. Montrose certainly no mugs at all, a good regimented side who can attack dangerously. The 3-0 game at the start of the season was a total mismatch and the 2-1 a couple months ago is hard to be too critical on ourselves as the conditions were absolutely horrendous and possibly should never went ahead. Hopefully we can continue our decent run of form lately and get back to winning ways after 3 draws. Hopefully a decent sized crowd for this one aswell to cheer on Ian and the team. 2-1 airdrie. Easton, Smith and Webster all to score[emoji815]️

  4. Not been impressed with both Gal and Smith of late, in an ideal world I would bench both but obviously due to injuries etc this isn’t possible, hoping Gabby McGill is back soon. Jordan Allan HAS to start next week, he is a total annoyance to defenders and that’s exactly what’s needed against a team like cove. Really hope we don’t do what we done last time up there, setting out for a draw and barely attacking them because imo if we do that, we will get absolutely scudded. Onwards and upwards and hopefully 3 points next week

  5. I actually cannot believe we blew that, absolutely battered them from start to finish but our defence and goalkeeper cost us ultimately. For the first Currie was indecisive and should have either stayed on his line or came and punched it, of which he done neither. Got to ask what Callum smith brings to the team, played about 20 games this season and only scored 4 league goals which is absolutely honking. Also cannot believe we weren’t given a penalty when smith was pulled back but because he didn’t go to ground it wasn’t given, anywhere else on the park and it’s a foul. Still a lot of football to be played but can’t see Cove blowing a 7 point lead, would need a monumental collapse from them for us to win the league now but weirder things have happened in football I suppose. On the upside I thought Kyle MacDonald was the best player on the park tonight, composed on the ball, looked dangerous going forward and relatively solid at the back. Paterson also looked very good when he came on for about 10 mins and his cracking ball in caused the rammy in the box which lead to our 2nd, think he’s got to start on Saturday and push MacDonald out to right back, not been impressed with Watson of late. Anyway, onwards and upwards, really praying we mange to go up this season, can’t take another season in this utterly shite league[emoji815]️

  6. I thought Airdrie were pretty good up until our goal, which was a fortunate deflected through pass this that fell to Smith who squared it to Graham for a tap in. Fortune to take the lead, but after that there was only really one team in it, and I didn’t feel too threatened even although we spent 40 minutes a man down. Docherty and Mayo in particular were excellent in keeping the pressure off us.
Actually quite enjoyed having a bit of needle to the game, which is something sorely lacking from most games these days. A decent travelling support in terms of numbers, although the Union Jacks and Donald Trump flag were a complete riddy.
Comfortable enough and through to the next round. All you can really ask for.

Will admit the Union flags are a ridneck but the Trump flag has always been intended to be a pisstake. The amount of opposition fans it gets rattled is great viewing. Can’t complain about the result, but was good to see that we could put up competition against an ambitious championship side. Ps, the thistle keeper is a timewasting c**t xx
  7. Looking forward to this one, will we make it 4 wins from 4? Or will a newly managed East Fife cause a ‘shock’? Feels that every game is massive now and would be very disappointed if we don’t come away from this with 3 points (no disrespect to East Fife). Performance last week was far from the free flowing football we are used to but still managed to grind out a result. Let’s hope on Saturday we’re back to the enjoyable football we know and get a result. Mon the diamonds[emoji815]️

  8. Given the weather conditions I thought both teams played some entertaining football.  Obviously would have been far more enjoyable without the wind but credit to both teams for trying to play a passing game .
However as an SPFL listed ref lives in the Montrose area would it not have been mor3 sensible for the SPFL to have asked him to make an early decision as opposed to waiting on match ref turning up at 1800hrs

Yes that would have been the more sensible option but it’s the SPFL we’re talking about here…
Anyway I’m not bitter about it at all[emoji102][emoji23]
