I can't see passed Celtic winning this very comfortably, and possibly absolutely pumping Rangers.

Is this due to fights at League Cup Final or just general pettiness between the Clubs?
To be honest, I couldn't be bothered reading the whole thing, but it appears to be general pettiness:

Apparently they have banned all away fans at the last two fixtures.

So they did sell it. I’m not arguing with the politics of it, but it’s no longer their ground, right? So the SFA have no obligation to allow QP to use it for matches against ‘bigger teams’ should they be a Premiership side next season, as is your argument.
It's no longer their ground, correct. The SFA may or may not allow them to play there. I never suggested they should be allowed to switch for bigger games, but rather they should be allowed to play their entire season there if promoted. I suppose it all depends on how much influence Queen'd Park have.

No. They turned professional in order to avoid relegation out of the SPFL, however they did not want to sell Hampden.

I'm trying to establish who you really support.
You are definitely not a United fan, as you would know that carrying on with this argument would lead to failure.
You are not a St Johnstone fan as even they don't hate us this much.
You don't support anyone in the Championship, as you are apparently 'neutral'.
You say you favour West Coast clubs so can't be a Jambo.
Ahhh, you're a virgin from the West Coast, who hates the city of Dundee for voting yes and changing the email response, embarrassed to admit who you really support as you will be ridiculed across the board. You are clearly a The Rangers fan.
Amazing that I have rattled you enough to take such an interest. I am from Glasgow, but hate the Old Firm (my parents are 'mixed'); so as a kid just avoided football talk and used to wear Scotland shirts. I then moved around a bit with work, and now basically just pick a game in the West of Scotland - St Mirren, Thistle, Albion Rovers, Airdrieonians; and to a lesser extent: Queen's Park, Clyde, Motherwell, Kilmarnock, Ayr and Morton + local junior clubs.
One club generally wins promotion to the SPL, and I hoped for something different this season - Ayr or Morton, preferably. I don't hate Dundee, but FFS give us something different.

Is this how Dundee deal with pressure? Tell themselves repeatedly that they are a bigger club than Dundee United?
Hilarious, isn't it?
In all fairness, it's a fascinating rivalry with Dundee Utd being the smaller club until the 1970s or '80s. The proximity of their grounds is amazing, too:
But Dundee Utd are a much bigger club now. I would love to see which side has finished highest in the league structure over the last forty years...

They're 15th in ALL TIME in Scottish football history. Dundee are 5th or 6th. Rangers Celtic, Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen, Dundee, top 6 of all time. United are down in 15th. Next lesson.
They're one of the last clubs outwith the Old Firm to win the league, beat Barcelona home and away in the 1980s, have won the Scottish Cup twice as many times as you, and once this century, have a bigger stadium and more fans.

But haven’t Queen’s Park chosen that to be the case?
QP sold Hampden (understandably) so the fact it was their ground for a century makes little difference to your argument.
Actually, no they haven't. The SFA threatened to play all internationals and cup finals at Murrayfield, and essentially blackmailed the club into selling them the ground. If they won promotion to the premiership, then it would make sense for them to play at 'Greater' Hampden.

It's 4th. All our record crowds dwarf Uniteds. Next.
Aye, going back 40+ years, maybe. They're a much bigger club. Sweet dreams.

They brought 300 to the Glasgow Derby, why on earth would they get Hampden? Shite you come away with.
Three Old Firm games, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen. It was their home for around a century.
Where would you have them play if you were their Chairman? Lesser will only accommodate ~2,000 with temporary stands, as things stand. It's the obvious choice.

Time to put on your big boy pants Queens and get the confidence back in the team which look splintered at the moment.
It's almost although we've been told to throw it...
That same thought did occur to me. Maybe the SFA knocked back Hampden for next season?

The table makes interesting reading. I hate to say it, but it's obviously looking like Dundee's title. As someone else stated, though, there hasn't been a stand out side in this division and I expect Dundee will drop points. Unfortunately, I just don't think anyone else is likely to put together a consistent run of victories to snatch it from them. Queen's Park were woeful tonight; the scoreline only flattered Thistle a wee bit.
An Arbroath win tomorrow would be great for neutrals. If Raith can then get a point on Tuesday, it's going to be a fascinating run in. Six points and the title's Dundee's, as there's no way Thistle or Ayr will catch them, and QP have folded.

ALL Scottish cities are wee, you could drop them all in London and spend a week looking for them.
Aye, but London is the second or third biggest city in the continent, depending on whether you include the whole of Istanbul (which I wouldn't).
You're still the second biggest club in your city, which itself doesn't rank in the top three in the country by population.

I've only made one game this season, so might head over tomorrow. The frustrating thing this season is a side that's won so handsomely on the road, and can obviously play decent football, is bottom...

The pure arrogance. You're not even the biggest club in your wee 'city'...

I appreciate this won't be news to most on here, but it surprised me. From The Courier:
'mon Arbroath!

You have been parading this narrative for around a month now. Your Queens Park brown nosing is vomit inducing.
I would love them to win the title with a controversial penalty in the last seconds of stoppage time, against you in the last game of the season. If it's at Hampden, I will be there...then on here to gloat.

If they play at Hampden in the top-flight, then there's no way they're failing - they will probably have the 6th biggest average attendance.

This ultimately comes down to a title race between QP and Dundee, IMHO.
The Dees were promoted in 2011/12, relegated in 2012/13, promoted in 2013/14, relegated in 2018/19, promoted in 2020-21, relegated in 2021/22.
Queen's Park were last in the top-tier in the 1950s.
Surely any neutral will be rooting for Queen's Park?

Queen's Park back in the top-flight after a fifty year absence would be nice, actually.

Motherwell are one of the 9 clubs receiving solidarity payments, it's everyone in the Premiership except Celtic, Rangers and Hearts.
Ah, that would make sense. Shame, though.

The financial gulf widens...
I do find it hilarious that Motherwell, who participated in the competitions, actually received less money than the nine clubs receiving solidarity payments. Justice for shaning Scottish football.

Can anybody confirm whether flats are being built at the open end of the ground?

Indeed. Depressing that we live in one of them though.
Aye, well based on what @Trogdor has said, it would appear that I was wrong in thinking it might be statutory rape (or the Scottish equivalent). Though how a judge can misinterpret the sentencing guidelines so badly is beyond me. I genuinely assumed there MUST have been something more to this. If he forced himself on a thirteen year old girl, he should do porridge.
I'm still of the opinion that prisons should primarily be focused on rehabilitation, and I'm opposed to corporal and capital punishment, which is what comment on this sort of crime usually elicits.

I've seen this pic sooo many times.
This is exactly the sort of thing P&B was designed for, celebrating your team's victory by logging on here, gloating and rubbing salt into the wounds of your despondent opponents. Glorious.
