  1. The reality is they don’t have the balls to extend the Championship or Premiership. Even a rangers in the third division wasn’t enough for them to make it a 16 team league. On the upside I am sure the viewing figures would be amazing for Arbroath vs Forfar next season would the other teams in this years relegation battle to keep there dud managers. You can bet Dundee will do what they do and win that division by a carter.
  2. They won’t sell. By the time anything moves along could be another season wasted.
  3. Falkirk fan here if we go down on Saturday I would happily take another full time club down. Whole bottom 6 been rank rotten all season and another team deserves to go. Raith can go up that way it can be a two way battle. Partick going down would make it interesting.
  4. What’s the odds? I was going to try 1-0 Rudden goal for the weekend but I mean if I was the bookie I would make it 1000/1.
  5. 5 adrift of Alloa I believe before his appointment
  6. I think Goodwin would jump at the chance of a full time club. Surely we would pay him 5x more money? He could take Falkirk far and move on like Jack Ross
  7. Hopkin and Goodwin would know plenty of decent league one players who can get the job done and possibly go onto atleast find promotion via the playoffs in the Championship.
  8. Nah it would show ambition to try and get Goodwin or Hopkin
  9. It’s sad how far the club has fallen but they have had good cup runs and playoffs in this division it’s been decent. Past few seasons has been garbage. I suspect the club shop won’t be open much other than Xmas and I can see both stands being closed next season.
  10. Yep what planet is he on he should have said next week is a cup final! It is because it’s a must win. He should have been quizzed about his future post relegation.
  11. So who should replace him? Goodwin Hopkin Yogi Danny Lennon Jim Duffy
  12. I would agree and who would be interim manager for the last game?
  13. So they are playing for absolutely nothing. They could send out the reserve team and still beat this Falkirk side.
  14. I really think Ayr will beat Alloa and beat them well sadly I don’t believe that will matter. Im guessing Ross County get the trophy next week? If so I hope they feel sorry for us and don’t play well because surely it’s bad taste to celebrate on the ground of a team who got relegated and all those jobs cuts that will come? From a players point of view do they want relegation on your CV? 90% of them will be playing in the sea side leagues as they get a game elsewhere. Hopefully not with Falkirk though. Could look at it another way that only 4 players are under contact so when the loan expires they couldn’t care less. The manager you could sack him and try something different last game or wait and see if by some miracle he wins and the club stay up he was then given the chance to keep the club up. Finally I expected Rudden to be loaned out to a Premiership side regardless of what division Falkirk are in next season.
  15. I think he will try he tried and trusted formation and try and sneak a win. A draw takes it to the last game. If queens lose it would be a cup final beat County and stay up.
  16. A win tomorrow and lose to county will be enough for 9th if Alloa lose last two. A win and draw might do it for 8th. Draw tomorrow take it to the last game. If Alloa win and we lose its game over.
  17. If Alloa lose last two Falkirk beat United lose to country that might just be enough for 9th place. Unbelievably Dunfermline could finish 9th depending on other results.
  18. Partick won tonight we are down. A win won’t take us off the bottom.
  19. They won’t I fear we are stuck with him for next season.
  20. I think the away stand will close all season to be honest. Could even just be main stand open if that’s the case goes back go the days before the other two stands were built.
  21. Other fans can laugh but it’s been the closest relegation battle in years. I wouldn’t be surprised if another big club falls down in 9th place but as I say it will make next years task even harder.
  22. Absolutely shambolic. Its been said already signings who couldn’t care less about the club. I can’t believe how poor Falkirk have been even Raith Rovers managed 9th when they got relegated. Its a long way back if Raith don’t get promoted they will be favourites. If someone like Partick goes down in 9th it will make that division even more difficult. With the current manager and current vision I’m afraid I don’t see the club bouncing back. As for last two games no chance of any points even if we beat United I wouldn’t be surprised if county win and we still go down. Once the season ends get Ray out and get Hopkin in. If that fails get Houston back.
  23. The academy has to come back. They have to sign some decent players too. The quality of player has dropped from finishing 2nd to possibly finishing bottom. We should be buying up the best players from Alloa, Morton, Queens ect. If by some miracle we stay up If Dundee go down they will be big favourites to go back up at first time of asking so playoffs is best hope.
  24. So a decade after relegation 2009 same could happen again. A whole generation who have never seen Falkirk as a Premiership club potentially having to suffer being in the same Leauge as Stenny (if they stay up) I fear the club could go the way of Airdie and Clyde and never recover. I imagine attendances would fall.
  25. I fear he may settle for draws in the hope of avoiding 10th by a point. Perhaps he is hoping Alloa won’t win all there matches
