Scullion literally walks over and offers him onto the pitch for a fight then spits back at the guy. He's not some poor wee guy caught up in a situation, he goes over purposefully to start an altercation and by the end of it he's spat at someone. He'll be hammered for it and rightly so. "How many of us would turn and walk away?" is emotional nonsense, spitting on someone is assault whether you were spat on first or not. You're not carrying out "self defence" by spitting at someone 6 feet away. Both fan and player have fucked themselves and I find it mad folk are excusing it.

Finally, some sense and reality brought to the situation.

The "emotional response" argument is nonsense. You've won the game so go over and celebrate with your fans instead of offering the home fans a square go and escalating the situation.

Again, we're faced with a scenario within a football ground, brought on by a mindset of not being able to rise above and walk away from a confrontational goading. Have to be smarter.

Anyway, loving the three points this morning!

Can’t see any of this making a difference.

the shits has already hit the fan.

Elgin strengthening and 6 points behind. It’s all to late. Being optimistic will only prolong the pain. The only thing that would have made a difference would have been to replace the chairman. It’s all smoke and mirrors and the attention has shifted away from him. Very clever stuff but the end result will still be the same Lowland league.

It's a shame we can't ship you off with the rest of the rejects.

Not surprised to hear it was Bevan. Doubly frustrating as we were courting him whilst he was still at Camelon. I’d hope we go back in for him in January.

I doubt we'd get him after performances this season. He'll easily go to a League One team to develop.

Another case of Clyde not taking calculated risks.

I wouldn’t take Buchanan now. I know we need experience but he’s 38, he’s too old for league 2 and for what we need. He wouldn’t feature enough for it to be worthwhile imo. If we are going to get experience in the door then get it in midfield or defence.

With Rennie being our only decent out and out number 9, I would definitely take Buchanan as he's a natural finisher.

He could be signed on loan, the loan window is still open and as long as his wages were being covered it sounds like Berwick would be happy.

Not suggesting necessarily we should btw, just that it could be done.

I'd definitely look at getting Buchanan in and punting Mulvanny.

He hasn't done a thing since joining and we're 12 games in. Waste of a jersey.

Well, this certainly isn’t going to reduce tension amongst the support…

    https://www.clydefc.co.uk/news/2023/09/club-statement-unacceptable-conduct/

This statement could be worded a lot better but some of the conduct from the same group of fans is too much. I know of many supporters who don't want to bring their kids or partners to games anymore because of the consistent abuse, language and shouts towards players, match officials and recently Clyde officials. Perhaps this is what the statement is alluding to?

Week on week the same group have been shouting personal insults at players and management "f***ing c***s, d***s etc". It's just not on. Especially the conduct of a supporter at East Fife, who I believe was leading the EGM request? How will behaving like that get you taken seriously?

Doubt they'd act like that outside a football ground, why is it acceptable to behave like that inside?

I'm not saying you can't voice your opinions from the stand, football is a passionate sport. Maybe just come up with something a little less aggressive. It doesn't add positively to the matchday.

It was a lot better yesterday to be fair. Nice to hear Clyde songs and fans getting behind the team.

Oh I just wish I could take back that comment.....I'm ashamed of myself for criticising the podcast....appalled at myself, how will I get through the day?

Right enough of that....if considering the podcast puerile, immature, self indulgent and uninformed crap, and at times letting them have that feedback....is construed as bullying....guilty as charged.

Self indulgent and immature? What examples are there of this? Certainly didn't come off that way to me... Genuinely interested in your viewpoint as I'm shocked you deteste it so much!

I doubt they'd get many viewers if they went on every week just to berate the club.

I hope it continues. It was one of the only communication tools that seemingly worked!

That and I'd hate for you to lose a product that you clearly watch whenever the guys would put it out!

On reflection, maybe you have a point...probably similar thinking to allowing the podcast to be aired

What was wrong with the podcast? I found it enjoyable to listen to on the way to games.

Even if not to your taste, the media content coming out of the club isn't very good. The podcast was something decent in my opinion.

Unless you're one of the individuals that tried to bully the presenters on social media?

  9. McLean might do a good job with a squad which has footballers in it. I'd argue even the best managers would struggle with this rabble.

Let's remember what he's working with at the moment. A right back who has no tactical awareness, centre mids who pull out of tackles and can't make 5 yard passes and forwards who could maybe combine for 3 goals in the whole season.
