All the better for us after a last second winner today, and a string of wins, that allow us to clinch the league when you lot take down DU on the last night to get the dosh!
Love your optimism Tx

Airdrie 1 - 0 up versus the western Fifers. Squeaky bum team for third place.
Your gonna play them in the play offs anyway, so doesn't really matter if you 4th or 3rd

That's Airdrie just taken the lead

Have we turned up yet ??

They're streets ahead in the foul count league table, but that was a deliberate stamp there and shouldve been red carded

Aye.
That gap has allowed the confidence to flourish, and being so close to the end of the season the United players just look so keen to get this title over the line. Tails are up.
Morton are probably safe from relegation, and are probably not reaching the playoffs so don't have that intensity that made them such a nightmare to play against a month or two back.
A loss tonight and a win for Raith tomorrow and it was back on, but aye I reckon it's done. Challenge for Raith is to try and get some momentum going for the playoffs, and for the morale not to drop with the dissapointment of losing the title.
I have no idea whether the gap afforded by coming 2nd is a good, or a bad thing in this regard.
A settled back line would go a long way in deciding if we can make a real go of it, an if no theres always next season .................... if the recruitment goes well

United look every inch a side that know the title is within reach, and are playing almost with no pressure on.
Bad news for Raith, I think this title race is done.
Was done n dusted on Tuesday night

That's a good amount of dosh for next seasons campaign albeit it wont all go toward the player budget, but it'll go a long way to get quality defenders in

Some of you need to have a word with yourselves.
You're on for your best season in decades, and at very worst you'll be two knockout games away from the Premiership. Plus we still have a tendency to bottle things from here.
This Airdrie side absolutely embarrassed us at Tannadice only a few weeks ago as well, so it's fair to say McCabe has a knack for beating the better sides in the division.
This very much sums it up, I dread to think where we would be if the new owners had never got involved and we were left with John Sim tightening the purse strings even more, we've certainly come on leaps and bounds since they did though, both on and of the park, the fan base has nearly doubled, the media team with their quirky gifs etc has certainly got peoples attention for one reason or another, as everybodys talking about it, the RTV stream us one of the best in the leagues and the catering is making money for us instead of someone else, more good times ahead whether we make it up or not.

I'd like to see Hamilton and Rudden played together as they'd be a helluva handful for defenders, if it doesn't work, at least it's been tried to see if it does

Like most decisions, it was the right one at the time and I still think it is. Considering last season we were floating around in mid table with a tiny squad, the turnaround this year has been excellent. Nothing to suggest we can't do similar next season if we don't manage it this time. Lets also bear in mind that we've not been at that next level for almost 30 years, we're punching above our weight as it is.
Maybe come the start of next season when the glaring defensive issues and other positions have been addressed we will get that chance again, it's the very first season under the new ownership which has turned out to be the best thing that's happened for the club in a long long time,

I personally think the title is gone, Utd have to lose 2 games out of the last four and we need to win them all....... christ we cant get even past Arbroath even if we did beat Partick, ICT, and Morton before that game

In hindsight were the new owners maybe a wee bit premature with Murrays contract extension, has he got what it takes to get us to that next level ??

1-1 draw suits is both, Utd would have to lose 2 games out of four and we'd need to win 4/4 when we cant even beat Arbroath, the titles gone for us and I'd much rather play Partick than Airdrie in the semi final

You’d have to think Potter is already working on better defensive options for next season. If we don’t get through the play offs then Murray deserves another go at it without a Dundee United in the division, but there is a nagging doubt that being so easily schooled by Airdrie this season shows a general weakness in his tactical ability that could cost us in any title run.
Murray has 3 seasons of another go, que more midfielders and a ropey defence

The sales of our Doner Kebab pies should be enough to get Frizzell, and possibly Mason Hancock for next season.
Maybe add Logan Chalmers from the league champions to those two, hes looking away from Utd

If Vaughan has fallen out with Murray his time could be up too unfortunately.
Where the feck has this come from

Dabrowski is only one player, theres 10 others in front of him that's not doing the job they're being paid for, hells bells this team on paper should have a far better goals for never mind goals against

You’ll most likely get slated for that post but there’s some element of truth in there.
I’d absolutely give him next season regardless of what happens now BUT if I see more midfielders coming in and that back line isn’t sorted then I couldn’t stomach it.
Dabrowski needs competition and as Country Bumpkin mentioned - what’s our plan in attack with Hamilton.
Hes been one big disappointment this season, but that may well br down to a less than talented or committed midfield, hell knows where we'll go from here if the the frailties dont get sorted for next season, Hamilton that is
