I thought they didn't have enough players to put two weekend sides out, plus they were short of money a while back

So I feel entering a 2nd weekend team in a proper league is a bit of an insult to said league.

It does scream of stability and probably a headache EoS teams could do without.

Why should half the players in Division 3 have to be available for Friday night games just so some Premier League team can play a few kids in their league?

Fingers crossed Willie Nylander will hop on the TTC and play on Saturday.

It's actually looking worrying for Nylander, there's something really not right with him. It's disgusting hearing some Toronto fans shouting that "he's ok to go and buy ice cream with his mates but he can't play a game of hockey"!

The guy is obviously not well and needs time off, or he would be playing. Hopefully they get papped out before they risk playing him when he isn't ready to play

The clubs refused them. Some with the usual you will play first team players. What do they bring to the league  whether it had longevity to some people not wanting to play on Friday nights

Fair enough. I said if they tightened the player registration rules and played a regular schedule (like Stirling Uni) it would be good, but if they are playing Friday night (when other teams have fringe players playing under 20's), not committed for more than 1 season and wanting to move players between teams when they want, then they need to find themselves a proper reserve league to play in

That was a bit of a slog. Still, far more interesting then Judd Trump or Ronnie O'Sullivan effortlessly swotting someone aside while hardly dropping a frame.

That's true, I only saw half a frame for the other game and was completely fixed on every brutal minute of Si vs Jones for the rest of the night. It's what makes the crucible worth watching, every night is different and the longer matches let the games ebb and flow

I don’t know how I feel about this, there’s been a mental stooshie the last 24 hours, it’s all gone bonkers in tier 5, and to my knowledge no one has blamed Cowdenbeath yet. Strange times we are living in.

Good to see you're over it now and still don't think about it every day 👍

to be fair.....this one is pretty wild.  Apparently it was only noticed during practise at Long Beach as there was a fault in race control who allow when P2P can be used., they couldn't get the system to turn on and then noticed that the Penske cars could us the P2P.  That's when they reviewed the past race and noticed that Newgarden and Mclaughlin where on it from the start.

Penske (Tim Cindric) state it was an honest mistake and they had just forgot to change the software....but it doesn't really explain why 2 of the 3 drivers were pressing the P2P on starts/re-starts when they have never been allowed before.  (more to the point, if all Penske drivers knew it was possible, it turns out Will Power is a lot more honest than I thought)

If you aren’t cheating, you ain’t trying!

With Cumbernauld Colts and EK being the only two clubs 5th tier or below that meet the bronze criteria (at the moment), doesn't it effectively render the Pyramid playoffs redundant in the (likely) event that next season's LL and HL winners don't meet it?

I think it's more a case of more teams could be Bronze standard if they had to be (with a little work), but it's not worth the extra costs while they're still playing at tier 5

^^^ takes corners at 35mph and slingshots out to get to 58mph on the straights.

A82 by any chance? Inverness to Fort William was always a ball-ache with them. Then the only decent straight to pass safely has a mobile speed camera parked on it

Given the potential pathways I think I'm going to dump Maryburgh without ever seeing them play, and go glory hunting with Stratton Wanderers.

Good choice. Kyleakin away is worth it just for the drive and a chippy up in Broadford before coming home. I personally would avoid the boat trip, I can't even get out the dock without spewing up. Even JoG to St Mary's was nearly too much for me!

The Wick Groats route would probably be my choice, keep my feet dry

We've called up Prosvetov. I can see him getting a game if Annunen stays sick for much longer.

I bet you even shuddered as you typed that! It was mental they didn't get cover when they had a chance, even someone like Jake Allen as a reliable backup

Bed officially un-shat. Get Willie Nylander back on home ice and we're cruising. Some snipe from JT last night, hopefully Marchand is OK after Bertuzzi apparently gave him the Nancy Kerrigan treatment....

Is the parade officially back on?

Bertuzzi and Domi together are good fun, never know what you'll get with them

It was funny the other night when one of the Washington players tried to start a fight with him and he just laughed in the guy's face. It's pretty obvious, as well as being a good player, even having having him on the ice is affecting the opposition team's psyche now.

Don't know how long it will last, but I'm enjoying the ride at the moment. He'll probably end up pro wresting at some point though.

He's not even a good fighter. Apparently one of the guys who asked for a fight gave him a seeing to in the AHL so Rempe said nah.

The staged fights are stupid though, totally takes away the reasoning for having fights in the sport in the first place.

If Rempe can clean up his act and stay out of trouble, there's a decent hockey player in there. He just needs to be careful with his health and reputation. The same words have been said about a lot of old stars when they were young and daft

Matt scores. Only one penalty against him so far as well.

It's funny, I posted something on some American based forum months ago about Rempe actually being a good player and all the noise around him isn't helping his development. Trying to point out the good side of his game

I got completely ripped apart from all corners with the usual "there's no space for him in modern hockey", "he's only out to hurt people" and questioning what I know about hockey...

Now they are all slavering over him and talking about his "attacking upside" and basically everything I said when I first saw the guy play and saw what he was doing in the lower leagues.

Safe to say ill not be sharing my opinion there again

oh my christ shut the f**k up if you do commentary nobody gives a f**k or wants to listen to your bullshit

Listening to them all stumbling about Vafaei playing left handed instead of using the rest.

Only Steve Davies actually got it
