Few points on today though

- The big lad in midfield number 8 was fucking excellent, covered every blade of plastic grass, won every header in the middle of the park and pretty much bossed it. 

- Lamont was missing all game, Love was obviously less than half fit, Cuddihy not looking fit either, McStay and Johnstone tried but it just wasn't working out for them, too many passengers up there with them. 

- Don't think the defence were bad, the 6 players they had in front of them weren't doing their jobs and had to suck up the pressure from the Mo attack and midfield on their own. 

- been mentioned above we're not a one man team, but when our stand out player this season (Grant) doesn't show up then you're up against it. 

- Smith has had 2 games to prove his worth and has failed miserably. Really wanted him to do well but he hasn't helped himself. Doesn't seem to know how to run a channel and at 30 years old doesn't quite grasp the offside rule. 

- I always liked Tony Wallace at Annan but I don't think he fits in with our play. Was hoping he'd have more of an impact on the team but looks like he's destined for the bench. 

 

Well done to Montrose on the win, thoroughly deserved. 

 

Lastly, yes the ref was pish but he didn't stop Smith from having a fucking shot at goal. Mo scored twice, we didn't have a shot on goal, simple as that.

Well that was something today then... I feel that our squad is really small and we seem to be struggling with the injuries right now. But even still our benches never seem to look threatening at all?

 

And thoughts on smith? I think he has been absolutely dire every time he's played in a Clyde shirt, and today didn't even manage a shot the whole game apparently?

Montrose deserved the win.. 

We never turned up at all. Darren smith - cheek to call him a striker didn't manage a single shot all game! 

Pen was a pen no disputes but mcniff did not need to go in from behind the ball was going right to rumsby! Absolutely NO NEED.

We just never played well at all and Montrose took advantage of that. Although, was a bit scummy the Montrose players celebrating towards Clyde fans but hey. 

 

The fact we had 2 shots all game and they were in the closing seconds is extremely worrying but as I said we didn't turn up at all. 

As for people saying Clyde are a '1 man team' we are not. We played fantastic last week without goody, but this week even the best players like grant and mcstay never played well. 

Also don't know why we were sitting so deep early on. 

 

All in all fair play to Montrose for taking full advantage of us not turning up who looked more likely to score than we ever did. 

Danny gave smith a chance when he needed to step up - big boots to fill- and threw it away horribly.

On another note, good point up north considering we were playing with 10 men for most of the game. BBC saying it was violent conduct and if in right in saying that's a 3 match suspension? Hopefully we'll manage OK without goody.

Don't see why danny would leave us right now.. He's doing a great job and got a team capable of promotion, not relagation (unlike ahem, thistle). He's created something great at Clyde and I highly doubt that he'll leave us at this stage.. also note he signed a new contract just before the summer too..
