  1. Another load of pish from a trust supporter! You are blinkered about Bell, he's already portraying himself as the chairman, which shows the respect he has for the current incumbent and authority of office. No one in their right mind would back this attention grabbing clown, he's like a rat up a drainpipe when there are TV interviews to be had, remember JH was and still is, his man, so lets have a new start, the SC are right in attracting new blood, and as they are majority shareholders, they have the ultimate say. Someone said on this board that Walla and Lennie would be a piece of pish to remove, I don't think that is entirely right, but hopefully, whoever they introduce have the wherewithal to galvanise and get the club going in the right direction. One worry is that I've heard that the best the SC have came up with is Mark Heston, the taxi driver, a relatively new member of the SC, now call me cynical, but a cabbie is hardly gonna cut the mustard as the face of the supporters club with a seat on the board, a big step backwards I'm afraid. I see the vultures are circling, each vying for a chance to grab control, tempers are getting frayed and rightly so, whoever takes this on, faces an almighty challenge, whilst there are many who think the club is dead and gone, others with shares realise they are beyond worthless, then there are the diehard fans who are passionate about the club and now realise the magnitude of the shambles that has been played out in front of them. A new start is the only option and time is ticking away, the club need to act fast to give the manager, whoever it may be, a decent chance to build his squad for the new season, that is only if a new board see the club as viable, otherwise, shut the door and switch off the lights, Goodnight Vienna.
  2. The only way this club has a chance, is complete regime change, No Hush, Lenny, Walla, Bell, Beresford, McLaren and Exley, they ALL need to walk now, they will get enough abuse over the next ten to twenty years as the men who sunk this once great club. New faces and ideas are required with level minded business people taking the helm with money to invest in what actually matters; THE TEAM, the current board took their eye off the ball in regard to results and team investment, hence where we are today. Bell needs to forget about being chairman, he should never be allowed to chairman of the club, he needs to forget about reinstating JH, pack his sustainable model and pie in the sky stadium ideas along with his ego into the back of his van and F*ck Off. Great that he got dogs abuse when he tried to leave the ground on Saturday, keep it going it shows you care.
  3. When we are this low, whoever is in charge should give Neil Oliver a chance, decent local bloke with contacts, he has the club in his blood, forget about all the other losers, we've had our share. But as I have stated, if the new chairman is in control JONNY HARVEY RIDES AGAIN, YIPEE AYE YEAH!!!!! No denial on here from the retired scout leader, DIB DIB DIB! STAND UP AND TAKE YOUR PUNISHMENT, WE ARE GOING DOWN TODAY
  4. NO SMOKE WITHOUT FIRE LOOKS LIKE JONNY WILL BE IN THE GARDEN A BIT LONGER MODEL FOR THE FUTURE - THERE IS NO FUTURE BECAUSED YOU AND YOUR MATES HAVE TOTALLY ARSED THE CLUB
  5. OOH! The nerve of truth has been touched! Sustainable club, with more people and businesses making a small contribution, your in cloud cuckoo land mate, in reality most people and businesses in the town cannot be arsed with the club, so face facts, you will loose more sponsorship and support as soon as you step into the LL, you may have parachute payments in the first two years but it is unlikely that this will be enough money to mount a creditable promotion challenge, going forward you have re-signed the players who have underperformed this season and have got us in this mess in the first place. you are also deluded if you think my comments are a deliberate attempt to discredit you, your track record speaks for itself, look at what you have presided over and then ask yourself if you really are the man for the job! Finally, your doing yourself no favours by commenting on P & B in your own name, you should be more professional than that, especially, when your a club director and incoming chairman, leave P & B to us numpties, its the only way we can get our frustrations out, but at least we now know some of the board are reading our posts. Putting the confrontations to one side, I hope everyone who can, will turn up on Saturday and cheer the team on to an very unlikely win, we all know its beyond hopeless, but whilst there is a glimmer!
  6. Do you mind if I ask if this is from a Director subsequent to a Board discussion? No need to name. Or are you a BRFC Director? Just checking the veracity of what you say before commenting. Mr Believer, after Saturday the club will be valueless, JB wants full control which he believes he will get, part of his plan is to bring back JH, that is why JH has not taken up another managerial role, contact JH on social media and he will tell you he is on gardening leave, the board didn't have the money to compensate him, he just stepped aside and will be reinstated when the dust settles. In answer to your question; no, I am not a BRFC director, I did get this information from a reliable source who has been associated for a long time, I was shocked by this revelation and as I am no supporter of JB, it needs to be aired to the public, JB is not the person to take this club forward in any capacity let alone chairman.
  7. Not a former director and coup member taking to the small screen, I thought the incoming chairman was the only one allowed to give interviews, worth a watch though, ET is still well respected by some fans, pity he got in tow with the shite who started the whole f*ck up in the first place.
  8. I've heard that the incoming chairman has a cunning plan to reinstate JH, the thinking being that he has experience at LL level and would be the man to get the club back on track, after all JH was his man, JB did not want him sacked but was overruled by the rest of the board, apparently it wasn't so much a sacking but garden leave. oucha!
  9. One thing about the current board is that they have the skins of a rhino, nothing bothers them, nothing affects them, they just carry on, they saw danger on the horizon and done nothing until it was too late. Why has the board not issued a statement, it just smacks of contempt or are they so feeble they just won't face the music, contrast that to the post of the statement by the Stenny chairman, this shows the gulf in class and morality. I am sure everyone with an interest in the club wants to see new faces and new ideas, it's a shame it is going to take us to drop out of the league system to get a new start, I'm afraid it might be a drop that we fail to recover from.
  10. Wow, a chairman who makes a statement, a board that seems together, what are we missing!
  11. The whole town is hurting, history down the pan, it is so sad, I would cry if I wasn't so angry. I'm an old guy, but I never contemplated that I would see this scenario in my lifetime. 90 minutes to overturn 4 goals, not impossible, but totally improbable with the players we have available. I have put the blame, fairly and squarely at the door of the regime in other posts and been criticised for this by the ST, SC and board followers, but this is my club, the club I love and have followed for more years than I care to remember, I have seen regimes come and go, witnessed Bowes, seen the club rebuild, each time while retaining their league status, this is just the worst. without question I will be there on Saturday for the final knockings and there will be a wee tear in my eye when I walk back into town. End of an era, so very, very sad, hope they don't play the last post
  12. Go away and boil your face in a pan of welks, you'll be a trust member, one of those who thinks you actually own the majority of the club and wants to own the rest, let me guess, your a follower and a mate of your great leader John, the man who appointed JH and kept him in work even when we were getting stuffed week in week out, shipping goals by the bucket load. I have shares that are now worth nothing, I bought them to support my local club as my father did before me, I trusted that the regime would do what others have done for nearly 140 years, that is to preserve league football in the town, I also buy my season ticket, that in my mind allows me to be critical of the people I see as responsible. I have seen utter pish for weeks, why it took the board until the last game before the playoffs to fire JH, is a mystery, they must have realised as early as January/ February that we were heading for trouble, mistakenly they thought Albion were worse than us and we would finish second bottom, the Clyde decision went against us and Albion moved to address their form, won a few games and hey-presto we were f**ked. Now we have a 67 years old ex player who has done SFA for years alongside a former manager who has an equally pish record this season with WW, to be fair to them, they can only work with what the have in front of them, which is a disinterested team who easily concedes goals and cannot score themselves, the stats from Saturday of 21 Shots to 2 says it all. I will therefore continue to criticise the current board, the coup members, the ST and the SC at every opportunity, until there is a complete regime change. like many supporters, I will not be paying to watch LL football next season, but I will eat my words and bare my arse on Stoddart's corner if its 5-0 nil on Saturday.
  13. Serious indeed, good job we've got chairman John, he'll sort it, you cannot knock what he's done so far. When's the president presiding over the funeral Bunch of losers. Vote Duggie Watkin for Chairman
  14. Mass resignations from the board next Saturday, Scottish Power will be in after the game to disconnect the power. No more roof work for Cough No more jobs for Walla to keep his business afloat No more wearing the yellow coat for Jimmy Purdon The club is now worthless, the shares are now worthless, but at least we might build a new £4M stadium The big question is whether the Directors will have the neck to show up next Saturday and face the fans, be even better if they issued a statement, where they could blame JH, Sadsack or the geezer taking the car park money at the gate, anybody but themselves. The fact is, I am told there is investment available in the town, many people have voiced an interest, but not under the current regime. RANGERS NEED MAJOR HEART SURGERY, A PACEMAKER WILL JUST KEEP US TICKING ALONG UNTIL THE PARACHUTE PAYMENTS RUN OUT OVER TWO YEARS, THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE FOR A TRANSPLANT AND WE'LL BE WELL AND TRULY DEED!
  15. Just read this extract from the paper. The incoming chairman is portraying himself as some kind of great white knight who will revitalise the club, what a load of pish, he is and has been a more than active board member who has been in office during this period of deterioration, he along with the rest of the board and the members of the coup are solely responsible for the demise of this once great club. His fanciful idea of a new multi-million pound stadium for Lowland League football shows how wrong his judgement has been, just imagine if he had been chairman years sooner, and the stadium had been underway, the club would be in immediate administration today, without a doubt. Do you really think the current administration should carry on in their respective roles, they have sunk the club, good and proper, why should they continue until there ambition meets the reality of the East of Scotland League along with Tweedmouth Rangers, a local derby in two seasons is a reality. At this point I would give Neil Oliver the managers job, he's local and he has connections, the current board have failed to appoint him on numerous occasions, stating he wasn't experienced enough, put him alongside the new chairmans appointment of JH I would go for Ollie every time, as would the majority of locals. So what John Bell has supported the club since he was 10, Ian Oliver gave a lifetime of service, so has Dennis McLeary, if the man has any decency he will accept he is not the man to take Berwick forward. This is important; THE CLUB SHOULD ARRANGE AN EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING AND ACCEPT THEY HAVE FAILED THE CLUB THE TOWN AND THE SUPPORT. THEY SHOULD NUETRALISE ALL SHARE HOLDINGS AND OFFER WHATS LEFT OF THE CLUB FOR SALE, FORGET THE TRUST AND SUPPORTERS CLUB, THE REALITY IS THEY HAVE PROVEN THAT THEY CANNOT TAKE THE CLUB FORWARD. SHARE OWNERSHIP HAS NOT WORKED AND WILL NOT WORK, BERWICK RANGERS NEEDS SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENT BY PERSONS WHO WILL INVEST IN THE TEAM, FIRST AND FOREMOST, THE CURRENT OWNERSHIP MODEL DOES NOT HAVE ANYONE WHO IS IN A POSITION TO LOOK AT THE TEAM AND ITS SHORTFALLS, TO THEN GO OUT AND GET QUALITY PLAYERS WHO WILL PROVIDE THE QUALITY AND RESULTS THE TEAM NEEDS. The incoming chairman is trying to say he will invest in local talent, that's crap and its not going to happen, yes invest in junior football through youth systems, there are however a lot of progressive junior teams in the local area such as Tweedmouth Rangers, Spittal Rovers, Tweedmouth Amateurs etc. the club does very little to connect with these teams. Why would any up and coming young footballer look up to a club who is only in the LL and not likely to get out without significant investment. I understand JB has already set out on a scheme of further cost cutting, before relegation is confirmed, on this, I was upstairs for the Albion Rovers Game at the cost of £25.00 a head, the hospitality was atrocious, the lad serving said it wasn't the caterers fault, but the board had gave them a budget of £3.00 per head for food which amounted to a manky 1/4 scotch pie, sausage rolls cut as small as possible, dry sandwiches and some cakes that looked like Lenny had brought them from his hoose. That says it all about the ambition of the clubs current administration. Unfortunately, there are too many ego's upstairs at Berwick Rangers, there is nothing wrong with ego's, but the point is that neither the Trust or the Supporters Club have the means to invest in Team Building, spending money on shares has given them a stake in the club, which they wanted to take over, but the model doesn't provide the required funds for team building, if they can't see that is the issue, they are deluded. An EGM will probably never happen, but an open invitation to potential investors might, if the ST and the SC want to retain a say maximum 15% shareholding each and the remaining shareholders diluted their total holding to 15% that would give an investor or investors a chance of a 55% controlling interest, although who would invest in a write off -TAKE A BOW you current directors who have condemned BRFC to the history books.
  16. 4 nought, what a lickin, time for mutiny, keep the board, the management and players, lets get them on an open topped bus around the toon to celebrate that their work only has another 90 minutes to run. They are a credit to the town, themselves and the supporters f**k the supports club and trust, they are not getting any more of my cash. Ego's have prevailed and look where we are, the warning signs where there at Christmas but they didn't take heed, talk about asleep at the wheel, this lot have been unconscious. York City, Scarborough, Darlington amongst others in the English league system have dropped out, with no way back , the chairman elect is deluding himself if he thinks with a £40k parachute payment will be enough to get us back into the league, there are teams in the Highland and Lowland leagues who have better finances and prospects than we have.
  17. I spoke to a well known supporter last night, he said, the problem with the club is the power the ST and SC have given themselves, he said the ST and SC members are responsible for the demise of the club, with their committee's buying shares to try and take effective control of the club, this has chased off potential investors who will only put money in, when there are likeminded investors, dealing with committee's with power grabbing leaders and massive ego's is a big issue against outside investment. This is a sinking club already holed below the waterline, the funeral director president will no doubt perform the last rites The only hope is divine intervention, keep the score respectable on Saturday, a draw, one nil to them or one nil to us, then get them back to Shielfield on the 18th, where big Jim Rowan's Black and Gold Army can put them to the sword, everything sorted.
  18. Load of melodramatic ****e Sorry Walla, you just can't take criticism, but you've fucked it big time!
  19. 9 days until the end - 138 years of Berwick Rangers down the pan - Take a bow all you Directors (even the ones who have recently resigned and the members of the failed coup) You have done a great job - what a legacy you have left, no-one else can be blamed but you, you can blame JH but you appointed him, the buck stops with you!!! Are you concerned? no! All we have is a faint hope that we will overcome a competent highland league side, who, unlike us can score goals, I want to be proved wrong and I will back the team until the end, but the reality is we've got little chance, its too late, something should have been done much sooner to avoid this situation. How can a team that's lost so many and failed to score, have the confidence to beat a team on the up, they may be a league below, but I think they will be too much for us, in our current state. I really want to be wrong, but...……………. ITS LOOKING LIKE - LIGHT OUT, ALL OUT...…...GOODNIGHT!!!!
  20. Bloody cold here at Cove 2-0 at half time, definitely Cove in the playoffs, just too much for EK Never seen Yano here? We could beat this lot if we could score goals!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Who is the director that has resigned? somebody answer! Big Jim Rowan will broker the deal to turn the club around, he knows the game and recognises that there needs to be an investor owner group not the Trust and Supporter Club pish, its them to blame for the current predicament, with their I own the club ego's =SACK THE BOARD!
  22. At last common sense prevails, we've got to give the team the best chance to win the play-offs, therefore changing a manager who cannot motivate the team is the right call. Don't underestimate we are drinking at the last chance saloon. I hear the mayor is preparing a takeover bid!
  23. Your all deluding yourselves with your "we own the club attitude" its almost, but not quite sunk, your only chance is very faint, in that you might win the play-offs. most on here are trust members, who think they are the only ones who control the club and back the incoming chairman, even after the manager he signed has been shite, the reality is that in a couple of weeks you'll reap what you sow, Lowland League and the demise of a once great club. Good Job Guys!!
  24. This is getting painful on and off the field, the team looks like its going to carry on through to the play-offs with no change in management or direction, they possibly could they be lucky and retain their league status, however, at this time it is clear the board seem happy sit tight or at least two thirds of the board are. That my friends is a gamble they have chosen to take, it's a brave one, because, as everyone knows it could and would spell the end of league football in Berwick Upon Tweed. I understand the magnificent four are chairman elect Bell, Matthewson, Exley and Beresford with current chairman Eyre and Parkin wanting changes, these four a playing Russian roulette with the future of the football club. There is nothing the average supporter can do to change this, therefore, the clubs fate is in their hands and their hands only, if it blows up in their faces they should walk away and never darken the doors of Shielfield again, unless its called Sammy Reid Close or David Smith Place etc. Regardless, a new season is coming and we will be where we will be, the club needs to rebuild from the bottom up, clearly the supporters club / supporters trust model doesn't work and there needs to be significant investment, hopefully by local businessmen, putting in their own hard earned cash and having the drive to see progression, whilst the current incumbents are on the whole good people, they have little or no financial investment of their own, in the club, that makes a significant difference in any decision processes. The supporters club and trust should, but I suspect won't, relinquish their shares, they should for the good of the club sell them for an agreed sum to an investor or a group of investors on the provision that the money raised is invested in the team and only the team alone. As most football supporters understand, you are only as good as your team on the park, if the team is not doing well and you don't have a future strategy together with benchmarks, set by the directors, the club doesn't do well, that's the basic fundamentals. We all want to see BRFC survive but ego's of directors using money from the masses is not the answer, the value of the club is diminishing daily, if it was a stockmarket floated club, the shares would now be valueless. So all you people hiding your identities JH, JB, GE, IB, GM, LE. WP included, take a good look at yourselves, look at where you have taken the club, you've got it all wrong and are threatening the very existence of the football club, Lowland League Football is not the answer, you know, deep down you can't justify that, you need to respect that the club is bigger than any individual and hopefully it will be there for the next generation (unless you've already f*cked it completely). You should advise your supporters club and trust membership that this is the only way forward for the club, if you want your group's to survive you should hold only a nominal shareholding. I know I'll get slaughtered for this post, but the truth hurts, white elephant stadium, Lowland League at £12 per head, your in cloud cuckoo land, do you think the supporters will follow this model? as stated by someone else on this forum, the incoming chairman never once has waivered in his beliefs, that goes for the stadium, the ego of setting up and fronting the trust, ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE AND THEY ALL KNOW IT!
