  1. Wasn't there a rumour a while ago that Vince had left the door open to Angle if he decided to leave TNA and that he even had his writers write Angle back into WWE?

Yeh that's true, even though Angle and Vince fell out over how Kurt left WWE, Vince has always said that he would leave the door open for his return. There was a rumour that Kurt was set to quit TNA after he found about Jarrett and his ex wife dating and return to the WWE but that sadly hasn't come to anything.

There are mixed feelings on new WWE Champion Sheamus in the locker room. While some feel his friendship with Triple H has been blown out of proportion, others are accusing him of being a "shameless suck-up" to Triple H. The word going around WWE continues to be that Sheamus and new WWE Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre are the favorites of Triple H and Shawn Michaels right now.

Not much of a surprise there, it's a shame that certain wrestlers don't have to work from the bottom to the top and instead all they have to do is kiss someone's ass who has power like Triple H in order to get pushed right into the spotlight. This espcially applies to Sheamus, who didn't work his way up and it's pretty poor that his first title in the WWE is the biggest one going today.

Also he'll probably retain the title next week with Orton costing Cena the win because he needs Sheamus to win so he can still have a shot at winning the title back.

  2. Don't worry i'm not going to turn heel on this thread and start supporting TNA from now on, but did anyone watch the Kurt Angle vs Desmond Wolfe match at Final Resolution? :o

The match was superb between two proper wrestlers with back and forth action and hell the first ten minutes were better than the whole of Raw. It's a shame that we'll probably never see Angle in a WWE ring again as he is the best wrestler in the world.

  3. Raw really is bloody awful and considering the talent that they have on the show, they shouldn't be putting on rubbish like that.

Enough of this DX crap, the people's court thing wasn't funny nor was the host or the stupid tiger jokes.

The only highlights were Swagger's performance against Cena, Big Show killing a midget and Kelly Kelly and Maryse in Santa outfits.

The 4th January can't come soon enough.

  4. The plan is actually to have Bret vs. Vince in some way or form at Wrestlemania apparently.

Other plans are Jericho vs. Edge and HBK vs. Taker.

    That sucks.

I would much rather see the Hart Dynasty/w Bret Hart vs DX/w Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania.

Also HBK vs Taker again? Please no, their match can't beat last year besides Wrestlemania should be Taker vs Cena.

Edge vs Jericho though will be awesome! :D

  5. Forget my RAW boycott.

The Hitman makes his return on January 4th. Not kidding. I'll put it in my usual big writing.

WWE have signed Bret Hart in a 4 month contract.

Holy shit, i can't wait for that confrontation with Shawn Michaels! :D

I'm guessing he'll be the manager of the Hart Dynasty? If so, then the Hart Dynasty is certainly going places.

  6. ECW has served it's purpose by bringing through new superstars and has been enjoyable to watch, although the ECW Homecoming tournament idea may be the start of the end of ECW.

I reckon it's a great idea as Christian doesn't really have anyone else to face on ECW and it involves superstars who don't have any storylines going right now. Looking at the former ECW champions; Big Show, Kane, Matt Hardy, Jack Swagger, CM Punk and Chavo Guerrero are likely to be involved in the tournament.

Those who progress go into an over the top Battle Royal with the winner facing Christian and i reckon that man will be CM Punk.

  7. Even though my predictions are terrible here's who i'm backing at the Slammy awards tonight,

    Superstar Of The Year

    - CM Punk (well it should be)

    Diva Of The Year

    - Michelle McCool

    Extreme Moment Of The Year

    - Kofi Kingston boomdrop on Orton

    Breakout Star Of The Year

    - Sheamus

    Shocker Of The Year

    - Orton DDT's Stephanie and kisses her infront of Triple H

    Tag Team Of The Year

    - Jerishow

    Match Of The Year

    - Undertaker vs HBK

Raw Guest Host Of The Year

    - Seth Green

The Oh My Moment Of The Year

    - Michael Cole vomits on Chris Jericho at SmackDown's 10th Anniversary

Also it looks like Punk will be facing Cena and Taker is battling Orton tonight? :o:D

  8. I really am terrible at predictions, i only got two right!

It was great that Shelton and Christian got to open the PPV and they certainly did steal the show. Excellent back and forth action with a bit of blood too, Christian frog-splashing Shelton through the ladder was an excellent spot. I like Christian although i was disappointed Shelton didn't take the belt nevertheless a great match to kick off the event.

Drew McIntyre defeating John Morrison was quite a shock although the match wasn't great viewing, hopefully McIntyre will be more interesting with the belt than the characterless and boring Morrison.

As shocking as it was, i don't think Sheamus was meant to defeat Cena. I reckon Sheamus was meant to fall backwards and through the table outside the ring at the same time Cena fell through the table. So much for Cena "cashing in his rematch" on the same night if he had lost, surely Cena will take back the title on Raw. Although the WWE could do a triple threat match between Sheamus/Cena/Orton at the Royal Rumble.

Batista vs Undertaker was stupid. Firstly a low blow and one chair shot defeating Undertaker for the 1-2-3? Yet then Teddy Long comes out and restarts the match for a low blow, why? McIntyre cheated and Long didn't come out so what is the difference?

Orton vs Kofi was enjoyable, Orton made Kofi look good and picked up the expected win.

DX defeating Jerishow...well i never! Jericho was meant to fall through the table and ended up taking a painful bump, hope he's alright. At least Jericho can kick on now and fight his way back up the ladder in challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship.

  9. John Morrison isn't ready to make the step up to main event level yet so i'm expecting him to retain the Intercontinetal Title. Maybe it's just me but i don't think Morrison is over with the crowd and if he doesn't sort that out he'll never make it into the main event scene.

Also has anyone else noticed that CM Punk isn't on the card? He won't be left off the PPV, he's too good to be ignored so he is either going to do a promo or interfere in a match tonight. I have a funny feeling that he may cost Christian the ECW title, which will result in Christian being moved to Smackdown as the show lacks faces...i so hope this happens.

  10. I predict a a Kane/Knox tag team coalition forming soon. That'd be a formidable and unstopable tag-team partnership IMO who'd be destined for gold.

That would be interesting although i'm unsure whether that would be a face or heel tag team?

Then again Kane changes from face to heel that many bloody times it wouldn't surprise me if he turned heel again.

  11. Since discussions have already begun about TLC i'll make my predictions (winners in bold),

    John Cena © vs Sheamus

    - They have tried to make Sheamus look strong in this mini fued however are we really meant to believe that a guy who kicked a commentator and ended a jobber's career will threaten Cena? Nah don't think so, Cena will retain no problem.

    Undertaker © vs Batista

    - This is probably the least interesting match on the card. These two do have history however with the Undertaker not 100% fit the match won't be anywhere as good as the others and with Batista receiving a big heel push, i reckon the animal will win the gold.

    Christian © vs Shelton Benjamin

    - I can't wait to see this match, it's going to be great. Both are excellent in ladder matches, also it was amazing how Shelton managed to balance himself on that broken ladder on ECW. Shelton deserves to be champion while Christian deserves to be elevated onto a bigger show, great time for Christian to drop the gold as he won't look weak as he can't get pinned.

    Jerishow © vs DX

    - The theme of this fued is that DX have never won the tag titles and guess what will happen, they will...watch the glowstick party begin. <_<

    Randy Orton vs Kofi Kingston

    - This is the second match i'm most looking forward to. The rivarly between the two has been excellently done although i reckon Orton will get the win since Kofi has had the beating of him over the last few weeks. Nevertheless Orton has made a star out of Kofi who is one of the most over guys in the WWE right now.

John Morrison © vs Drew McIntyre

    - In a close match Morrison will retain.

    What does everyone else think?

  12. The Rock won't fight Cena, he's trying to make a name for himself in the movie business as Dwayne Johnson so i seriously doubt we'll ever see Rock in action in a WWE ring again.

Sure it would be a great match however Cena would go over and as i was a huge Rock fan i don't want to see it happen. Instead, Cena will probably be fighting Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

  13. Triple H's buddy Sheamus is the number one contender for the WWE title...dearie me, he is nowhere near ready for main event level. The only Raw superstar who is ready to make the step up is Kofi, who has at least been in the WWE for a couple of years winning the US, Intercontinental and Tag Team title. This Sheamus guy has achieved nothing.

Kofi deserves to be pushed however i don't think he should have been number one contender either, simply because of his fued with Orton. The WWE title was crying out for a TLC match between HBK vs Cena with the match being set in Michaels hometown of San Antonio.

Needless to say i hope Cena squashes the guy quickly as Sheamus is like the sun, in that if you watch him in action for too long he can f**k up your eyes.

  14. I'm actually forseeing a Team Controlled Frenzy vs. Team Viper match rather than a straight one on one affair.

Especially with Mark Henry getting the pin in the big six man tag match.

    That's a decent shout actually!

I had totally forgotten about the annual Survivor Series team match...probably because Bragging Rights was pretty much centred around either Team Raw or Team Smackdown prevailing.

It would certainly give the likes of Mark Henry, MVP and Legacy something to do.

  15. Great to see Jericho actually pinning Cena for once, must say for a champion Cena seems to have lost a fair bit of matches on Raw over the past year. Furthermore Big Show owning HBK with the knockout blow and Jericho hitting Triple H with the codebreaker was just beautiful.

Also i'm quite liking the build for Kofi (coby) Kingston (johnson) vs Randy Orton which i reckon will be a cracking match at Survivor Series, i have a funny feeling that Kofi is going to get a massive beatdown from Legacy next week.

On a side note, i've never seen Orton get to the ring so fast in my life. :o

  16. I'm just watching through ECW the now having Sky+ it. I keep finding myself watching a certain bit of Christians entrance over and over again, camera cuts to shot of fans, one of which is a stunning blonde with huge tatas doing an Eddie Guerrero style wiggle motion to the camera :D

I know who you're talking about, i think i seen her on Smackdown or Raw as well! :D

Some pair i must say.

  17. I thought Smackdown was fairly low key this week.

Firstly it seems that Dolph Ziggler is in contention for the IC title once more, hopefully he actually wins it this time.

The Batista and Mysterio face off was fairly low key and Batista's "attack" on Matt Hardy was nothing more than a shove! However it will be interesting to see Batista acting as a heel in the ring next week.

Finally, it's good to see that Y2J was added to the World Heavyweight championship match although it would have been nice to see Kane interact with Taker once more. I really really hope that Jericho wins the championship...imagine him with 3 titles? would be absolutely awesome, however i really do see Cena and Taker retaining the title in both matches.

  18. WWE Raw was fairly interesting to say the least!

Kofi Kingston really impressed me, he was helped by being in a match with Jericho, who put him over...you can't dislike Jericho, he really does like to help new stars coming through. Furthermore it seems as if Kofi is getting a big push considering he is heading for a feud with Orton.

Kofi's mic skills were excellent when he was destroying Orton's car, although praise must also go to Orton who played his part with his superb facial expressions...he really is the best guy in the business when it comes to that.

I felt bad for the Big Show however it was really funny when Jericho went screw this i'm out of here when it was announced that Big Show vs Triple H was a lumberjack match!

Cena vs HBK vs HHH? Meh...Cena will retain, this just plants the seeds for DX splitting up.

PS: How the f**k does Sheamus get moved from ECW to a bigger brand? Christian is the one who deserves to be promoted not Casper the bloody ghost.

  19. Sure, Orton vs Cena will be a good match to watch as the two have great chemistry in the ring however the stipulation that Cena will leave Raw if he loses, makes it sounds like he will win the match. so it looks like Cena will be champion, again.

While Batista and Mysterio friendship seems to be going down the pan. I can see Batista turning heel by attacking Mysterio if Rey unintentionally costs Batista the title or wins the title himself, simply because Batista stated how much he meant the title means to him..

Bragging Rights was pretty predictable, Orton and Cena was a good fun match which Superman ended up winning... however i'm not sure that i was too keen on Orton tapping when he only had to hold on for another five seconds.

Thought it was fairly obvious that Big Show was going to turn against Team Raw to help Smackdown, however i was delighted with a victory for the almighty Chris Jericho and also a well deserved win for the superior wrestling brand.

I was disappointed with the world heavyweight championship match, it just seemed a little too rushed for me, i honestly don't understand why the Undertaker retained the title as he is clearly crippled and needs time to heal. Josh Matthews interviewing Mysterio and Batista signalled that Batista was turning heel, i loved it when Batista went "i'm going to rip your head off", that was some funny shit.

Batista is long overdue a heel turn however i think they may have jumped the gun a little bit early, i mean Batista was brought in to replace Jeff Hardy. However now that leaves the faces as Undertaker, who is going to drop the title soon and take time off again so that only really leaves Mysterio as top face while John Morrison isn't even ready for main event level. Sure when Edge comes back as a good guy that will beneficial however he's not going to be back for a good six months so Smackdown badly requires a face...time for Christian to arrive.

  20. Chris Jericho vs. Christian - Non-Title Match

These guys had a pretty good match at Wrestlemania XX and if you ask me, Christian has gotten even better since then, so this match has some serious potential. This was a really good main event as it gradually sucked the fans in and it built up really, really well. They were obviously leaving quite a lot in the tank, but this is still a match worth a watch this week. ***1/4

Agreed, I also really enjoyed the match mainly because i'm a big fan of both wrestlers and it was so refreshing to watch ECW with a big name superstar like the great Chris Jericho on it. That man could carry all three shows simply because he's that damn good. I reckon there was more to this match than just Jericho "scouting for talent", i think the reason for the match was to test Christian to see if he's ready for main event level in Smackdown or Raw and in my view he's ready.

I can see Christian making the step up soon and it may be a longshot here but i think Shelton Benjamin could takeover from Christian as the face of ECW.
