  1. I occasionally post rubbish here too. Facebook Anyone coming out to play today?
  2. Yes, and I take it that is not a misprint.
  3. Never! Appalachian Boggers indeed! I'm of 100% cross-bred Swiss Boggers stock. (Rather like your royal family. Except not German.)
  4. Boggers. We gnomes are a close-knit community.
  5. Should add that the decision to also raise for the M.S. Society was made on Robbi D's suggestion. (The only other one I got was 'Mary's Meals' which I'm sure would prove irresistible to the folks in Peterhead.) Have other fund-raising ideas but I'll work on those as the season progresses. Any commercial sponsors? A small donation gets your company listed on the top (pinned) page of my blog. (Also looking for a commercial sponsor for the "Hike", with your logo displayed in all the photographs to ensure I'm not cheating.)
  6. Promise you it is no scam. I'll be at the pre-season games so you can ask all the questions you wish. I have a bank account and can bring along statements so you can see that the cash is going in. (There is some in there already.) If someone wants to be a counter-signatory on the account please let me know. The "Hike" monies will all be recorded on dedicated sheets. On reaching Greenock anyone wanting to check the totals with cash-in-hand and earlier deposits (pre-walk and Port Glasgow (I'll make sure I have separate receipts just for the "Hike") can do so. My human contacted Tommy H. to see if I could be I designated the "offeshul" Sons Trust Charity Gnome but as he's not on the committee he couldn't make that decision. (The human also e-mailed Alan F. but he appears to be on holiday.) BBPF: Please PM me if you want any further doubts settled. Or, if anyone is around Helensburgh / Dumbarton this weekend why don't we meet up? (It's only £1 to the fund to have your picture taken with me!) The following photos prove nothing I know, but they do show that I'm serious about this. (Another idea is to raffle off my 'dedicated car-parking spot' at the stadium for the season. It came as part of my Premier Club Membership but is no use to me as my feet don't reach the pedals of human cars.) Trust me - I'm a gnome.
  7. I'm hoping you guys will give me a lot of work to do by signing up for this. All entry fees to Sons Supporters' Trust and the M.S. Society. Mister Boggers' Prediction League, 2019-20
  8. Is that Scott Reekie (Junior)? His father played with Edinburgh City: Auld Reekie.
  9. Sam wouldn't have her photograph taken with me on Monday. I was too broken-hearted to put that in the blog. But isn't Photoshop a wonderful thing? Check out those ECL trophy lugs.
  10. "Sons turn down Swiss midfielder" and other nonsense now posted on my blog.
  11. Hello, Mortonians. (And apologies for wondering why I couldn't find you in the League 1 forum - it's a League Cup tie coming up. Duh!) Anyway, I am a Dumbarton-supporting gnome who is going to travel around the country next season raising funds for The Sons Supporters' Trust and the M.S. Society. The first of my (really) crazy ideas is the "Hike to the 'dyke": Dumbarton F.C. to Morton F.C. (28 miles) for the match on 16 July. A bit like your own "Walk to the Rock" a few years back only in reverse and including more pubs. I had a thought this morning - you guys need a lot of fund-raising too so why don't I raise cash for your Supporters' Trust also? You can collect donations and I'll do the leg-work. The whole walk will be covered on my blog . My collection sheet has sponsorship options of 'per mile', 'per pub', and 'donation', but you can choose whatever way you want to do it. Or why not join me for the last part of the hike? I'm pretty sure I'll be at the "needing propped up" stage by then. It's just a idea, but we have over a month to get our virtual heads together so you can let me know your thoughts. Mister Boggers
