When you say “we” are you talking about Aberdeen ?
Just curious , seeing as since joining P&B on Sunday , you’ve also been posting on the St Mirren thread, the Patrick Thistle thread and the Cove Rangers thread giving the impression that you support them.
Aberdeen fan bud who lives in paisley so go to Glasgow based games as long as it’s not the old firm [emoji1360]0 -
Are you 12 years old? All your posts lead me to that belief.
You bring up Hibs as evidence of the sort of thing we should be doing. They haven't finished above us in about a decade.
Hovering pish.
Not at all bud [emoji23][emoji23] I am not saying hibs are a shining light, my point was they have took a gamble on a few managers in the past some have worked some havnt, unlike us who go for the same Scottish shite and also can’t see when things are looking a bit stale.
But you obviously live your life by the commandment of “ though shall not question del” so I’ll leave it at that [emoji6]

Just think we have gone a bit stale nothing wrong with wanting a bit of fresh impetus

That’s a fair point [emoji1360]

Go away.
Also as well if Ryan jack was such the baller we all think he was why didn’t celtic sign him? Or teams from the championship or prem show any Interest?0 -
Wasn’t as long ago as that IMHO
Good yin grimey[emoji849]0 -
I'm not someone who thinks the sky would necessarily fall in without McInnes; those who constantly invoke McGhee, for example, are usually being a bit daft. But if your best argument for changing a broadly successful and well liked manager basically comes down to boredom and because a worse team sacked their manager who took them to 8th place, it's probably best to rethink.
Not at all mate nothing to do with boredom. And I never mentioned sacking. I said let his contract run down and have a respectful mutual parting of the ways. Like I have said previous he has done a great job for us but there is an element of our fans who think he is untouchable, I’m saying otherwise. All I’m saying is it’s time for a change.0 -
Go away.
Ryan jack was bang average. I’m not wearing my red tinted specs. Big love in for him cos he’s a local boy very ordinary not as much of a loss as other players have or will be0 -
Here come the “ but....but....but he’s won us a league cup about a million year ago. [emoji42]

And your solution to this is appointing the famously innovative and forward thinking Gordon Strachan?
A manager who has managed at top level in Scotland in prem
3 league titles, Scottish cups, league cups, 2 last 16 of champions league. International manager. Aye your right gees mcinnes anyday[emoji23]0 -
So we didn't have a proper challenge when the **** were able to sign our captain away on 5 times his wage?
He wasn’t a loss. Another overrated local lad0 -
Yeah, that’s really worked for them, hasn’t it?
Not always I’m not saying that. Heckinbottom looking good for them. But they have gave it a go unlike us, scared of change, scared to go a bit different. Let’s just play it safe that’s the Aberdeen mantra. Sick of it0 -
Just.
Fucking.
Wow.
They do but going for someone a left field.
Look at our last gaffers in the last 15 years - mcinnes, Mcghee, calderwood, Brown
The same old guff regurgitated. Del has done us well but time for a change lads0 -
3rd?
And there’s still “no Rangers”. They’re deid.
4th*** even more so a decent killie best us to 3rd will be harder this year too with hibs0 -
We've had a "mix of no Rangers, Hearts, Hibs, or Dundee United" because they weren't managed as well as we've been in recent years..Hence why they've disintegrated or been relegated. Around 2012/13 aside from the Jambos financial problems I would say us, the Edinburgh clubs and United were in in similar positions...the difference being we've had management thats transformed the playing squad, kept hold of our best players and not ran at the first sign of a bigger paycheck. All while winning a trophy, reaching finals and finishing high enough in the league for european football five seasons in a row. Not to mention finishing above a club with 6x our budget for two years in a row. I'd class that as consistent.
Regardless if they where mismanaged or not they where still not in the same division or really weak so we never had a proper challenge for the coveted second place0 -
Have you thought about going to watch Hibs?
They like to freshen things up regularly, they’re the best footballing side on the planet, and you don’t have to worry about getting parked at Hampden.
At least hibs have balls to make a call and try something new unlike us0 -
Out of interest, who do you want to replace him?
There are some managers doing such a disastrous job (McLeish with Scotland for example) that you just need to sack them and then worry about who their replacement is afterwards. Its pretty obvious that McInnes is not an example of this and if we're going to get rid it should be with a clear plan of who we are going to replace him with, someone who will be a clear improvement. Who do you think we could realistically attract to the role who would fit the bill?
I understand that, and I’m not saying he has done a bad job ( maybe coming across a bit harsher than intended ) I said earlier he has done a good job considering the state we where in before he came. He has won us a trophy granted and the second place finishes have got us Europe and most of his signings have been on the money. I just think some of the fans treating him like a messiah is a bit over the score. I wouldn’t have gave him a new deal but I do agree we neee to have a clear plan. I think Gordon strachan ( I know he is at Dundee ) proper experienced manager and got a raw deal at the national side.0 -
Hah! Next thing you’ll be asking us to let go of our Super Cup!! Not likely! [emoji294]️[emoji294]️
Just because I’m not part of the “ del can do wrong brigade “0 -
I love your type of “support”. See these “few second place finishes”, it’s actually four in a row to be precise, they are achieved from four seasons of utter consistency. I’m not sure who people like you want to replace him, but you should be very, very careful what you wish for, because we would probably not be able to afford, or attract, Guardiola.
Through out they seasons we had a mix of no rangers, Dundee United, hearts, hibs. Then last year a decent rangers and we finished 3rd with a baw hair. So I think “ utter consistency “ is a bit of a stretch more like a perfect storm0 -
Imagine a manager living off the successes he's had! Maybe we should freshen things up so we can finish 8th and 9th again every year?
The league cup win was 5 years ago I think we should let it go. Few second place finished should hardly mean he is untouchable0 -
This whole love in for del for finishing second is ridiculous, he can’t lay a glove on Celtic. He never gets his tactics right, dit’s back and invites pressure onto us. He is living off a league cup and a few second place finishes. Del has been great for us but giving him a new deal is the wrong call by Milne and co. There is also support for del from the cheerleaders because he turned down sevco. We will be lucky to finish 4th this year.

It’s our record against Celtic that bugs me, beating rangers is all well and good but you want to do it against celtic more. We always bottle it against Celtic ( when it matters)

“Eye-bleeding fitbaw” type comments incoming.
Del has been good for us but he has had his day, football isn’t great signings are average. Always shits the bed in Glasgow0 -
He’s a rat
